It's been a while since I wrote an update for Culver's although, I've visited since this last writing. However, my service was so different I thought I'd send a reminder of what makes Culver's set apart from the other fast food restaurants. SERVICE and CARE! But it's gotten lost... My order was taken properly, although truly their menu is a bit difficult to follow, when you're in the drive thru. For example the window person makes a suggestion in response to my question, but then it takes me a while to hunt for the item to determine the price.... However, once everything was ordered and I drove to the window I was handed my drink selection, (two smoothies and Uncle's root beer float) in a carrier that had root beer float drippings all over it. The young man was cleaning the outside of the cup when he placed it in the carrier and handed the mess to me. I thought I'm just going to toss it out when I get to Uncle's, but I didn't realize how soggy the cardboard had become. The float tipped in the car from it's weight, (it was a large - and yes went all over the seat - which is a great segue for my next review), and began to collapse as I carried the drinks in. I had a shopping bag in the other hand. I should have just made trips back to the car. I started to take a picture to send it off to corporate, but didn't...Then I thought I'd go back with the soggy carrier... Then I thought next time just go to the competition. Mainly because, the young man knew the root beer float had overflowed - hence his cleaning of the cup and the obvious dabbing of the carrier, (it was frothy when he handed it over). Someone had made the float too big for the cup - put in too much root beer or too much ice cream and so goes the eruption. The service and care is going down at this Culver's which is too bad. Uncle loves his root beer floats - but I can go elsewhere. read more

The drive thru was long. Upon entering, the inside was clean, all employees had on masks above their nose. They were pleasant and customer friendly and my order was exactly what I asked for. I feel like I can trust them with the drive thru.I will definitely make this one of my favorite places to eat in Matteson. Thumbs up to management!! read more

I found a hair in my food! If I could give them a zero star I would. The young lady who took my order had my order wrong. I waited in my car well over 20 minutes, then I went inside and the people were standing around gossiping, only to get home and find a hair in my food! I'm new to the area, never will I return. There are other restaurants in the area that practice safe precautions around food. read more

I had never seen or heard of this place before today and it was phenomenal! The amazing customer service is among what you would get at an InNOut or Chik-fil-a ( super friendly and accommodating). The food is amazing! It's a fast food joint, but everything tasted fresh and was piping hot when we got it. The menu is extremely reasonably priced burgers, fries, shakes etc. They have a whole list of burger combos under $5 and they're a good size. I couldn't even finish. Oreo shake and mango smoothie were great. This facility was spotless! Also, it had plenty of booths and tables for groups and couples. We paid about $20 and got 2 double burgers with extras, fries, shakes and a smoothie. Not bag at all for quality food. read more

I just left there about forty minutes ago. I ordered a two piece fish dinner which comes with fries & cole slaw, and I ordered a small drink for some unsweetened tea. I did not wait that long after coming out of the ladies rooms maybe ten minutes or so. Here comes the order taker bringing my food with two pieces of dark brown fish. I immediately told her I did not want that burnt fish, it is supposed to be a nice golden brown. She immediately took it away and said, okay. The tray never it the table. As the order taker was walking away, I thought to myself, darn it, I should have taken a picture of it. After waiting for approximately ten minutes, another person arrives, I don't know if she was the manager or not, but she said, "Would you like to order something else because it is going to take another minute or two for your order to cook." I replied I will wait. She then kneeled on the sofa booth across the table from me and leaning on the table and said, "I mean when I said a minute or two, I meant one to two hours or so, because the grease is dirty and they would have to change the grease, and that takes a while, would you like something else?" My reply was that the food should not have even come out to me in that condition! She agreed, and said, I know, no one noticed it? Liar, liar your pants are definitely on FIRE! I could tell that the order taker noticed the condition of the food by the way she presented it to me--again, the tray never landed on the table--she knew, and so did the cook, too. Time wise, it is about 1:30, Sunday afternoon. So, I told her no, just refund my money back. I followed her to the cash register counter, and she put my refund back on my debit card, less the amount of the drink! I looked at the receipt before leaving the counter because she quoted a less amount than what I paid, which was $13 something, and she said $11 something, I can't find the receipt now. She had the audacity to charge me for the two cents, watered-down, fountain drink, after what just went down. All other establishments offer their fountain drinks, etcetera when something like this takes place with them, or when you call in advance and your order isn't ready when you come pick it up. This isn't the first time something like this happens here at this location. Every time I have ordered a chicken breast sandwich in the past, it is always very hard and chewy, and only at this location! So I decided to call them out on this one, it is time to break the silence! read more

I visited my parents for Thanksgiving in the Chicago area. There are three fast food restaurants I always visit when I'm in town: Chicago Dough Company, Culver's and White Castle. After doing some shopping I grabbed a butter burger, fries and a snickers concrete mixer at Culver's. The burger was a bit greasy, but good! It was well done (the way I like it) and had enough meat to cover the entire bun. The fries, on the other hand, tasted as if they sat awhile under a heat lamp before being served. They were large crinkle cut potatoes that were stale and tasted bland. Ketchup couldn't and didn't help.After eating a couple, I gave up and fed them to the garbage can. The mixer was a combination of vanilla custard and snickers candy bar. I love vanilla custard. However, I didn't like the concrete mixer. The vanilla custard would have tasted much better by itself. When I'm in town again, I'll probably visit again and order a butter burger and a cup of vanilla custard minus the fixings. read more

They post that they are open until 11 PM but in fact they lock the doors at 10 PM. These clowns do not have a clue.

I love this Culvers location. In addition to good food, it is always clean and the employees are polite, cheerful and helpful.if I didn't have to watch my cholesterol, I would come more often. read more

I really enjoy their food and their service! I generally go for the Butter Burger and it comes out hot. Someone will hold the door for you as you enter almost every time. Pleasantries seem genuine. read more

If you have ever been to a Culver's before you will know what you're getting here. The food is good, surface is good and everything is fairly clean. this is a great place to go in the summer and enjoying ice cream outside. read more

My boyfriend and I attempted to place an order inside of the restaurant; as we were walking to the front door we see a staff member lock the door. It is currently two hours before closing time and there were still patrons on the inside. I was confused so I called to ask why the door was locked. An employee answers and states that they are short staffed with only two members present. I asked again, what does that have to do with the door being locked?! She then responds, "I can't work the counter, drive-thru and run orders out". Not to sound insensitive but that is not my problem that their shift is short staffed. I did not appreciate being told to order my food via the drive-thru when the line was ridiculously long (hence why I chose to go inside). I suggested they put a sign up as to why the door was locked and the worker hung up on me. Completely unacceptable. I will be contacting corporate. read more

Food is good when you catch the right cook. I assume I would get some grease with my burger but my container and bun were soaked. When I called to complain I was told to bring it back which I stopped in on my way to work. So since I couldn't bring it right back they "couldn't make it right". Today I decided to stop in for the flavor of the day based on the picture from the website. When I got the custard, it was a far cry from the picture and it did not have the salted Carmel on it. I was told by the window person Carmel did not come on it - even though their picture showed it. Will think twice before I visit here again read more

I've visited this Culver's numerous times in the past, and satisfied with the food and service. This time the customer service was phenomenal! I really liked the cleanness of the restaurant and the excellent customer service ! I ordered the bacon deluxe double cheese burger and it was good. LITERALLY everything is verrrry tasty at Culver's. They have a HUGE variety of delicious food AND desserts (some of the best ice cream I've had) to choose from. It's always clean inside and the employees are exceptional. It doesn't take long at all for you to get your food. I'm a Cali girl and missed my In-N-Out burgers but Culver's made me forget all about them! read more

This is my favorite fast food place. I've been going there for at least 8 years or more. I enjoy when they have soft music playing in the afternoons. Generally, it's that old 60's, "Run Around Sue" type music; since I'm a "Boomer" I enjoy this. However, the last few years I've noticed it less-soft music playing. The food is always well prepared, fresh, and tasty and good. If you order it at the drive through window, everything you ordered is in the bag...all the time. The desserts are tremendously good. The service personal are personable, helpful, respectful. The establishment is clean and smells fresh; bathrooms clean. I've taken dates there and friends. Great salads. Cod fish and Walleye's are my favorites with onion rings. Wish they sold Walleye fish year round but its only during lent season...something like that. Soups are great; burgers too. And, they have Cheddar cheese and not that cheap American cheese most estb., have. read more

Close to home so I love this location. Very pleasant staff, never a long wait. I love that after they take your order they state 'it was my pleasure'...it sounds so sincere! The food is always hot upon arrival and their fudge pecan/turtle sundaes are to die for!!!! read more

Always friendly and fast. Food and ice cream is always good. But I noticed that if you don't ask for ketchup that won't give you any. And I always forget to ask. But I love the ice cream. read more

While visiting Culver's the customer service and food was great the only complaint was that the waitresses did not wear hair nets and I witness a customer bringing his food back with hair in it don't think I'll be eating there anytime soon read more
