First time I came in got southwestern chicken soup. Spicy without being overwhelmingly hot. Lot better than progreessos version of the soup. And a grilled cheese that came with fries. Grilled cheese is an outstanding sandwich one that I don't eat as much since I'm not a kid anymore but it felt all warm, gooey brought back childhood memories. Second time I came got jerk chicken salad. Flavorful, zesty. The jerk chicken didn't have the taste from like an actual jerk place but I liked it. I got the Maplewood fat pug for a beverage. It also looks like they sell beer to go.

I had placed many online orders for pick-up on my 30min lunch break, to ensure I had proper time to drive to, pick up my food, and quickly drive back from the restaurant. After a few pick-ups took around 20mins after promised time, I was pretty upset. I was told they only start making food once the person is there to pick it up, so I asked what's the point of placing an order online and receiving a pick-up time, when the food only starts to get made once you're at the restaurant to pick up? That's when the owner stepped in (My family and I have had many pleasant convos with him before at the old location), turned red, bunched up his face, and legit yelled at me "What do you expect? Do you want your fries to be cold or do you want them fresh?" (I was taken aback, and responded "I expect my order to be ready at the time indicated"). He told me I could go elsewhere. I get it. I was receiving consistently poor service and was upset when I asked the cashier about timing, so he stepped in to defend his worker. What I don't get is how you can tell a customer to go somewhere else when they're expecting their food at the time promised (or at least within 5 mins...I'm not THAT picky). Perhaps my expectations are too high?

The worker walked away from the register when I was paying so i didn't get a receipt and when I asked for my receipt maybe 3 minutes later she rolled her eyes multiple times and proceeded to tell her coworker "she wanna come get her receipt at the last minute." And proceeded to give me a nasty attitude when I originally approached her with a smile and manners. Don't work if you don't want to be there hun no one is forcing. Along with this they are putting frozen foods on the sandwiches and they did not clean the knife after making one sandwich to making the next one. Considering the sandwich had an allergen on it my mother could not consume. Tayja the night manager was excellent and it's sad she has to work with such mean-spirited people. If I could give zero stars I absolutely would.

Yes, management replying here actually but action behind their words to make things right. I usually don't care for the canned replies from any business especially those that you see on Google Reviews but in comparison to other entities this reply is head and shoulders above their peers. May the store get a chance to improve and may corporate work out the kinks/issues so efficiencies and effectiveness may reign making the local shop exceed expectations.

Wow... I cannot believe how much Baracos has gone downhill. The last visit we waited 45 minutes for a hamburger and mac and cheese bites while there were only 4 tables occupied. The hostess experience has become TERRIBLE. We've gone at different times, different days, and somehow it always feels like asking for a normal table in the dining area turns into a negotiation. We don't want the noisy booth area with TVs blasting in our faces. We want to sit in the actual restaurant section and have a peaceful dinner. Why does that feel like asking for VIP treatment? Am I supposed to be royalty to sit at a table? Then the explanation is always: "We're understaffed." I'm sorry, but after hearing the same thing over and over while looking around at a mostly empty restaurant, it starts sounding less like an explanation and more like an excuse. The sad part is that this isn't coming from someone who visited once and had a bad day. We've probably gone there 25-30 times this past year and that's exactly why this is so disappointing.... When you keep giving a place chance after chance and somehow things just keep getting worse, eventually you stop making excuses for it. It feels like they're acting as if they're doing customers a favor by letting them eat there.. Not again...
