I chose the California burger and asked for sautéed onions and they said 'no problem'. The burger was nice and juicy. Bread and veggies fresh. I went with the standard kettle chips as a side. True or not?

We stopped and grabbed some drinks, I got a beer and then saw the drinks of the month and had to try the watermelon mule. It was fantastic! Really enjoyed it! The hubby just sipped on a beer. We got 2 small buckets of rocks for $2 and went to the area to throw some rocks. The $1 a bucket was totally a great deal and simple enough without dropping major money on something so novel, but also really great. The service was a bit to be desired as despite multiple bartenders (and not many people) it took a while to get drinks or service, but the quality was great of the drinks.

We got a bucket of rocks to toss at the wall filled with lots of metal objects, a chime, some Tonka trucks. They also had a fun crane that you can pickup blocks and try to stack them up or build something. The venue is an old Hastings building that has a ton of character. The Tap Wall has a good variety of beers and ciders. They change them up weekly. The costs per/ounce seems reasonable. They have the types of beverage broken down by type (IPA/Dark...) which is helpful. The cost/ounce varies depending on what you are getting. We tried several different menu items and all were good - the three different kinds of cheese curds along with the wide variety of wings (both bone in and boneless). They also have a lot of great sauces to add to your wings or curds. I also tried the Caprese flat bread, yum. We also tried a couple of the specialty cocktails, I really like the Honey Jalapeno Marg! The wait staff was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had.

The service was good and the food better. We ordered the Roadkill Skillet and a side of eggs and bacon. The food came quickly and while one waitress served the entire restaurant, she was efficient. I did a search on Yelp and came across this place that was only a few minutes off our route and it was more than worth the extra 5 mins. The interior was filled with little signs and rubber ducks. For drinks I ordered the Bloody Mary which came with a spotted cow chaser and my husband ordered the mimosa. We spotted they had spotted cow cheese curds and ordered these. They were absolutely amazing and rivaled the Mouth Trap Cheese Curds you get at the Minnesota State Fair. For entrees I ordered the Butcher Omelet with Hollandaise and it was so delicious and packed with fillings. I had no hope in finishing it so we took it home for leftovers. My husband ordered the Three Little Pigs Benedict and noted it was a top 3 benedicts he has ever had (he loves benedicts). I also ordered a cold brew cocktail I think it was the Spiked Salty Caramel and it was delicious and decadent! The entire time we were there people kept stopping in and visiting the bartender to get drinks and it was so fun to see. She was absolutely so fantastic and one of those bartenders you would go back to see over and over. Just a bummer its not close to our house. I would recommend this place to anyone who is over in this area. It is so perfect!

Hubby and I both ordered the eggs Benedict with a side of hashbrowns. Everything was perfectly cooked and we were delighted with the crispy hash browns Strangely, we find crispy, perfectly cooked hashbrowns very rarely. And we have breakfast out fairly often. Onto the food, we tried mushrooms, cheese curds, and the coveted pretzel. The mushrooms were good, but I've had better. They needed some seasoning or salt for sure; however, the horseradish sauce served with it was bomb. The curds lived up to WI's reputation and their ranch is delicious. The pretzel itself was good and salty just how I like it but that kitchen staff send out broth water as cheese and some nasty mayo and called it mustard. Nope! Skip those awful sauces. Sneak in your own cheese. It's worth mentioning our server's crotchety lackluster service. We weren't given a greeting or even a smile the entire time. Could have been she's having a bad day, but was an awful experience. I would go back if someone wanted to, but I'd wait longer to get a different server.

It was like a cafeteria meal, including the soggy fries. My husband, who never complains, was like this is awful. The shake had the consistency of Metamucil. The cooks were watching/listening to something at a disrupting volume that completely disrupted our conversation.. One went on their phone (on speaker) in the booth behind where we were seated and completely disrupted everything. People don't typically listen to Elvis and Pitbull at the same time. After 30 minutes of rude service, a guy (who I heard dry heaving) ran to the bathroom and was vomiting. The other cook yelled for Phoebe (PHOEBE, PHOEBE, come!) who rolled her eyes and stood at the front without moving an inch. This was after terrible food, rude service (ask her about the ketchup) and pity for the elderly couples at a "50s diner" trying to enjoy a nostalgic date.
