This sandwich chain is known for their oven toasted subs, salads, and milkshakes. They also have mac and cheese, soups, combo deals, and kids meals. I got the small farmhouse salad and Nate got the Italian. There are a lot of options for sandwiches, including white or multigrain bread, flatbread, "thin cut" for less bread, and three different sizes - skinny, original, and big. It's kind of overwhelming but we just got the original size and multigrain bread. Once it's toasted, you can add toppings. Mayo, mustard, pickle, tomato, lettuce, onion, oil, Italian seasoning, and hot peppers are free. I like their hot peppers which is like a giardiniera mix. The person who rang us up was super helpful and polite which I really appreciated. The salad was fresh and tasty, and I liked the portion. The bowl was a bit too small for me to mix the salad up easily, but not a big deal. The sandwich was full of flavor and the bread was perfectly toasted. The tables were in need of wiping down, but they were pretty busy when we stopped by. Overall though, I really liked this location of this chain.

For any spice lovers out there, I WARN YOU to be careful with the Cluckin' hot sauce. After trying their Cluckin' Hot Sandwhich, I literally thought I was dying. Being of Asian descent, I LOVE hot n spicy stuff, and have some type of decently spicy sauce (habanero, ghost, and sometimes reaper pepper sauces) every single day.. They really weren't kidding when they said that the sandwich was an 11/10 hot.. because I feel like I'm on cloud nine from that spice high after taking 2 small bites, and it's been 10 minutes since that.. sweating as I type this out, nostrils are flowing, the pain could be described as biting onto a molten rock of lava, I'm hanging on by a thread. Maybe I'm overreacting.. maybe I'm just a wuss and really can't handle as much spice as I thought I could.. but upon looking at the JuJu Bird Profile on the Downtown GR Market website, the website says quote: "Most of their sauces are created in-house including the Garlic Parm and the SOCLUCKIN' HOT, which is so spicy, it's more of an extreme challenge than a meal! " More of an extreme challenge than a meal?? You bet ya I'll take up on that challenge, regardless if I must sacrifice my hole or replace my toilet.. Would totally recommend 10/10!
