I had gotten all the ingredients out of my refrigerator and cabinet to make dinner, stood and looked at it, and then put it all back. Because, like a prime number--i could not even. I finally brought up Yelp and found Taco Stop was right across the street. Thank goodness. I stopped by, grabbed three chicken tacos for myself and three for my husband and an order of chips and guacamole. The chips were house made, the guacamole was flavorful (it did have tomatoes in it which isn't my favorite) and the chicken tacos with onions and cilantro were tasty. The dining room was crisp and clean. It's more of a fast casual stop so was happy to be picking up to go but that said, their dining room is clean should you choose to dine there. Considering beef prices are not coming down anytime soon, if ever, I think Murf's need to address the situation better than just slapping a small, dry, overcooked burger on a huge bun. For example, drop the tiny Single and Double patty menu items (you're only going to disappoint diners) and go with a Jumbo and Junior burger instead. Get a smaller bun for the Junior and don't overcook the meat. Then double the patty size for the Jumbo (one big patty is less likely to get overcooked and more satisfying to bit into - think Oscar's). They also need to deliver quality and value where they can afford to do it. There is no reason that the fries are undercooked and under-seasoned. The condiments are mediocre, and the custard thin. We still cleaned out plates, but the table was unanimous that we will go elsewhere next time because so many other burger joints deliver higher quality and value overall.

The last couple of times, I've been in house and have enjoyed the experience. First of all, their subs are primarily meant to be toasted. I really love their tuna and swiss with all the fixings (including, for a small fee, avocado). It's great! Their subs come in three sizes, skinny, original, and big. I typically get the original, which is still plenty big! Their set up is order at the counter and then move on down the line. Instead of having all the condiments visually in front of you ala Subway, they have a list of what you can get on your sandwich and you just let your sandwich maker at the second stop know (the first stop, you just tell them the sandwich, size, and bread type). They don't have quite as many veggie options as other chains to top your sandwich with but they have enough to give your sandwich a little veggie oomph.
