This was my first time at Culver's and my last. I was staying up the street waiting my flight out in the morning and saw Culver's when I was driving around and because I love ice cream I was intrigued by the custard or the concrete whatever they call it. I had a burger the night before at another spot, so I decided to try the cod because the lady said it was one of their best sellers. I asked if the bun was toasted and she told me it was I could see a little brown around the edges, but basically it was just a bun, no heat. I don't do tartar sauce so I just had the shredded lettuce and shredded cheese; I've never heard of shredded cheese on a sandwich, but OK. The fish wasn't too bad it was just deep fried cod with no flavor and it was greasy. The fries that came with the basket were crinkle cut like I like, but they were I don't know stale maybe? They they were warm (everything is supposed to be made fresh to order) but I don't know if they reheated them, I couldn't eat them. Finally my favorite thing of all time ice cream was subpar. I have eaten ice cream from all local chains and almost 40 states AND several countries so if they want to be known for their dessert, they got to do better. I had vanilla with Oreos and light salted caramel. They weren't mixed in very well because there were clumps of ice cream with nothing and then there were ice cream with too much of the mix ins which made the sweetness off balanced. I went through the drive-through and both the lady who took my order and the one who brought the order to the car (after waiting for it) were very nice. I paid $14.14 and I do not believe I got a fulfilling meal worth $14.14 so for that reason I won't go back.

I always enjoy by trips to culvers. I particularly enjoy their spicy chicken sandwich. The staff is also very fast efficient and nice. This culvers also has gluten-free buns. That is phenomenal because not many fast food restaurants sell gluten-free buns, especially in this town. The kids meals are also awesome. Don't forget to use your custard coupon for a free custard with any kids meal.

Headed to a Smokies game, we chose to stop into SmashCity for a pregame burger…read more The service and burger came up quickly. I opted for the truffle smash and large fry. My buddy opted for the Spicy Smash. The burgers were mmmmmmmmmm mmmmmmmm great, Juicy and the bun held up. Fries were fresh and would like to see maybe a topping or poutine option for them. Cool spot to get some AC and great burger before a Smokies game or a night in the old City.

We already had 250 miles under our belt for the day. 4 more hours to home. I was sick of fast food…read moreand we were making good time so we decided to venture off the road, but just a little. SmashCity wasn't far off of the interstate, it had good ratings and although we'd been eating burgers and fries quite a bit on this roadtrip, a good burger and fries really sounded good. All of the reviews were right on - this was absolutely NOT fast food - it was fast, really fast, but the speed was just bonus. As we usually do, we split. We chose the Carolina BBQ smash. The burgers were juicy - if you're not careful, I guarantee you'll be wearing it. Two critiques, it definitely needed more sauce - I just added some of the SmashCity sauce from our fries and it worked but I really would have liked to have had more BBQ sauce. Second, the fried onions were quite burned. I pulled off most of them. The hand cut fries were piping hot, just the right amount of greasy and seasoned perfectly. Splitting the burger was a good call - I'd never have eaten the whole thing myself. The burger and fries were just over $20. When you consider a Big Mac meal at that clown place is $14, SmashCity is almost a bargain. Paul, the owner was like the energizer bunny - he was everywhere at once. Personality oozed from his pores. Make sure you tell him Sue said hi! (He won't remember me but just say hi anyway!) Now I wouldn't say SmashCity has the best burgers - that award goes to our friend Jerry. He makes a pretty mean smash burger on the blackstone. If you have an extra half hour, skip the fast food burger joints, get off that highway, and go let Paul fill your belly for the rest of your trip! You'll appreciate it!

Address: 1139 Franck St. Alcoa, TN 37701 Food: 5/5 I got the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, and it's the best chicken sandwich in Blount County! Perfectly crispy and sauced. The flavors are great, and it's cooked excellently every single time. The fries were also very good and seasoned well. My mom got the Bacon Jam Burger, and she absolutely loved it! Great flavors, but the one thing she would change is having the bacon cooked more so it's crispy instead of floppy. We also got the Nachos for an appetizer, and they were honestly the best nachos I've ever had! The chili and jalapeño cheese sauce were the stars of the dish, and the chips were perfect and didn't break at all. What impressed me the most was that the last time my mom got the nachos, they were not very appealing, but this time around the presentation was spot on. This tells me that this restaurant listens to criticism and fixes its mistakes/issues. ‍ Service: 5/5 Matthew was our server today, and he did a great job! Service was fast, and the staff did an excellent job informing us about additions to the menu. Atmosphere: 5/5 This restaurant is always clean, and the vibes are amazing. This is the place you want to eat at while watching sports. You'll feel right at home if you're a sports fan looking for a great place to eat. Value: 5/5 Our lunch was absolutely worth the price we paid. The portions were great, and we left full without feeling like we wasted anything we ordered. Final Thoughts Kickback Jacks is the place to be for a great lunch or a fun hangout spot to watch any sporting event. I highly recommend ordering the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich and the Nachos. So kick it back with Jacks and experience a great meal! FEAST Overall Rating: 5/5 Would I Go Back?: Absolutely

The burger was cooked a perfect medium, and the wedge was fresh, crisp, and exactly what we were looking for. Even though we arrived late, the service was excellent and never felt rushed. There was still a lively crowd, and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. The bar is especially impressive, with towering shelves stocked with an enormous bourbon selection, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. Great food, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend.

I really try and not post bad reviews but this is one is needed after our experience last night…read more Please know that we have been to Stock and Barrel many times during our visits to Knoxville and always enjoyed our experience. After last night I'm not sure if we will ever return. We were seated outside at a table that was right in front of the in and out doors. We waited almost 15 minutes before someone came to wait on this. Honestly this would have been longer if my husband hadn't gone in to ask about a server for our table. Mind you, there were plenty of servers walking to help the other tables around us as we were waiting. Finally a server walked up, her name started with an A, and she was very flippant with helping us. I ordered a beer and my husband ordered water and son ordered a soda. We also went on and ordered since we had no idea when she would return for our order. She brought the water and soda but no beer and then we didn't see her (at our table) until our food came out. My beer came out with the food, a good 10 minutes after I ordered it. I know you may be thinking that the bar was backed up but her other table (that arrived after) got their drinks right away and also a 2nd order of drinks before I received my beer. She never came to check on us with our food and spent more time at the table that arrived with her friends. Her attitude and personality was vastly different with our table versus her friend's table. When it came time to get us our check. I saw her roll her eyes and walked towards us. I let it slide instead of calling her out on her actions as I just wanted to leave. We paid our check and left. I truly feel like this will be our last time here because of the service we received. We have many friends who travel to Knoxville for various sporting events (since I'm in that industry) and I always recommend Stock and Barrel. After last night, I'll be recommending some other place.
