Overall decent experience. Came late on a Friday night. Wasn't packed at all. They have specials for ladies night before 8. Unfortunately we missed it. I got a Georgia Rita. It was OK, definitely could use a little more alcohol for $12. Ended up with catfish dinner and two sides. The catfish was seasoned. One of my pieces was very large and needed to had been fried longer. (I asked for fried hard) The Mac n cheese was not a favorite at all. It wasn't fresh. The side of mash potatoes was the star of these show. 10/10. I believe meals like this should come with some type of bread. Maybe garlic bread or cornbread. One of my friends got the salmon Philly and stated it was good (7.5/10). Was on the drier side so she got some mayo. The bread was buttery and crispy. Okra was good. Egg rolls - FYE. My other friend selected the lollipop lamb chops with greens and mashed potatoes. She was very disappointed in how small the lamp chops were. The manager gave extra lamp chops to rectify the situations. Enjoyed the sides, even though the green were cold. Server was friendly and accommodating. Atmosphere was a vibe. Would recommend. read more

Went on a Friday at 8p, wasn't busy or crowded. It was loud inside so we opted for outdoor seating. Southwestern Eggrolls top notch. Peach sangria tasty. Garlic Parm Wings good. Fried okra good. Catfish was not evenly cooked so I couldn't fully enjoy it. Mac and cheese not great. Service started off good then fell off a cliff! After we got our food our waitress disappeared. We had to ask another waitress for the check and a box. Gratuity is auto added to check, you pay on device waitress holds in hand. Did not like that screen to pay didn't have a breakdown of charges. Had I been the one paying I would've requested a paper copy of the receipt. I want to know what I'm paying for without having to guess or say that sounds about right. Overall will try again and hope for better experience. read more

The food is delicious, I give the lollipop lambchops a 10/10, as well as the collard greens . I've been there 2x and the second time service wasn't great, it was loud and busy but the vibe was good. The second time I had the fried red snapper this time with greens and mac and cheese also a 10/10. read more

SEASONED TO PERFECTION! Everything! All the things! Seasoned! No complaints on food. The catfish, Mac n cheese, broccoli, fried okra was delish and is my idea of what home cooked southern food should be. The waitress was attentive and informative. There was a slight hiccup in the kitchen with needing to switch the grease which caused our food to be delayed but not only was it well worth the wait but we were given a percentage off the meal without asking just because. I appreciated the integrity and accountability of the restaurant for that. I will say that the atmosphere was geared towards an older, mature crowd. Maybe not suitable for children, music wise, as the content of the music was racy--maybe a warm up for the holiday Valentine's Day? Ha! There's a bar which takes up the majority of the restaurant, table and booth seating. I can't wait until warmer weather hits to experience their patio seating. I will return and soon! read more

The ambiance is great. The bartender was great. The food is of course the soul food type of cuisine. I had the whole wings and Mac and cheese and collard greens(8/10).. I wish I could have had more flavor on the chicken, the Mac was made with a few different cheeses and it wasn't my favorite but it was good and the collard greens tasted like water and spice. My man had the Shrimp Rasta pasta(9/10) they gave a lot of pasta but five shrimp and that meal cost $28. To me the math wasn't mathing for the cost. If you're into the soul food cuisine try the restaurant out! I'm coming back to try the brunch. read more

The food was good but the waiter was too busy having fun to actually make sure we were ok.... Then there was an incident where I feel like they should've been checking to see if I was ok but instead proceeded to make fun of it on the mic. The manager was unapologetic ! read more

Food was ok... but the table service was horrible. Had to flag the waiter down several times just to take the order, bring the food and pay.

I would have given them 5 stars but we'll get to that at the end. I've been hearing about this place for a while and wanted to give them a try. Meet up with some friends on a Friday night for HH and stayed for the live band. The lemon drops were 8.5/10 I like mine with simple syrup and I love they use fresh lemons. The food I give 9/10 we had the wings and eggrolls for starters during HH. They should use an avocado ranch sauce for the eggrolls since they're Santa Fe. The sauce they use would be better if the rolls had an Asian flair; the same with the salmon bites they were seasoned well but the sauce didn't pair well. Now to the entrees I had pork chop/ Mac and cheese and fried okra! 10/10 (apparently if Herb is in the kitchen all will be well) 2nd person had the salmon mashed potatoes and broccoli 3rd person had the catfish collard greens and mashed potatoes They asked for tartar sauce which should be expected in the south with a fish entree. The waitress came back with a small container and said this was all they had so they had to share...... Tartar sauce only needs a few ingredients which I would expect any restaurant establishment to have....but none the less they made it work. Now when it comes to us paying this is where we fail in black establishments. The waitress confirmed what each person had and then told us the total -never showed us a receipt but a quick calculation seemed about right. My friend who got there later said hers should be a little cheaper so after we paid she asked for a receipt........ They include a 15% service charge (aka gratuity), that's fine but if I had seen this prior to I may not have left a 20% tip. None the less my bill was paid. The live band was great, the food was good and so was the atmosphere. I just ask they you all make sure your patrons are aware of the service charge and the waitress or waiters print out receipts prior to final payment. I will return though read more

The service and the food couldve been better. No one checked on our table no one brought silverware to the table. The food was descent but I had to eat with my fingers. by the time someone checked on us I was done and ready to go. It was my first time eating there and it will definitely be my last. read more

I am totally going to give the restaurant four stars for ambience and cleanliness and potential! We always support other small businesses in our local area and we're excited to finally get by and try Culturistic Kitchen. There is so much potential and I'm gonna try to come back. My two lamb chops were amazing and were on special today. Mama Carr's chicken tenders and fries were on point. Unfortunately, our rack of ribs and the sides had to be returned. After everyone had their food, our dining partner, finally got their wings which had been ordered wet and came dry. Please give them a shot and give your opinion as we want to see everyone in our community thrive! read more

The sad part was I chose this restaurant for my birthday dinner 8 o'clock reservations The food was terrible under season overcooked manager attitude was a little spicy waitress was excellent. DJ was bomb, but overall food quality was 0 The food was like they gave us leftover from yesterday and gave us canned greens and powder mashed potatoes. My steak didn't have no flavor and they said it was a 12 ounce steak which it was more of a 6 ounce steak overall worst restaurant I've been to in McDonough and the manager/shift lead gave us a $13 discount and nobody eat their food. We try to support this business, but this business clearly do not know how to support their customers we will not return. The TikTok reviews clearly are just for views because the food was not good. read more

Last night me and my friend went to karaoke and this was one of the worst times. My friend doesn't drink so she wanted a moktail the bartender said they didn't have the mix to do it. I was going to order the 3 whole wing meal they was out of whole wings but they fried chicken wings for me so I could get my two sides honestly wasn't bad. Besides the greens being salty and I got more green juice then actual collards. What made our experience bad was the service bum use to YAY being there and doing a great job. It took forever to get the hookah, I don't know if they bartender was overwhelmed but it took forever to get a strawberry lemonade. Also the bartender and male server got into a argument in front of everybody so you can tell it was some tension. I love coming here and I'll be back I just pray her team isn't her down fall. read more

Went on a Friday at 1 pm, and it was empty in there. However, the service was terrible, and they charged you a 15% gratituity fee, which I was not aware of at the end. It took 20 mins for the waitress to bring our drink from the bar. They didn't start it until 5mins before bringing it over. You couldn't taste the liquor in it. I had the uncle Willy's whiskey sour. The presentation was nice, and it had a great smokey smell. If you come before 2 pm, you have to order off the brunch and / or appetizer menu. I did not see anything about that on their site and / or any sign when you arrive. This messed up what I wanted. I was forced to order the wings , and the presentation was nice and was okay, and the eggrolls. The waitress had the bill wrong, and it took forever her to give us the bill. It appeared that was the same situation before we left. Would I return?NOPE! Would I recommend it? NOPE! Now, if you want to do a happy hour for cheap, go for it, they did post happy hour menus after 4 pm, but you might wait forever for anything because I'm not sure how you get poor service with 4ppl in there. Went at 1pm, and it wasn't read more
