This old school punk venue has been around since the early 80s and I started seeing shows here in my late teens. The history behind this place is just mind-blowing and incredible. To me it's one of the best places to see a live band. The sound is spot on. I've seen Fugazi (sadly never got to see Minor Threat), Bad Brains, and several other bands here. Iconic and legendary venue... for music lovers it's a must at least once to see a performance here.

You can also pay for a parking pass through their website but the lot only opens up an hour beforehand so be sure to plan your evening with that in mind. We ended up parking on the street for only $3 since we arrived early to grab dinner nearby. The entry line was super long and literally went around the block but it moved surprisingly fast. Staff was friendly and helpful at the door. The inside was dark when we arrived and it would've been nice to have some house lights so people could find their way around the venue a little easier. The AC was cranking and the temp was comfortable. Upstairs has standing room and some bleachers which provides a good view with less of a crowd. Their VIP area looks nice and I'd be interested in splurging next time for a seat and a better view. There's bars downstairs and upstairs and even some food concessions. Getting out of the venue from the balcony was a bit stressful with only one way out. It makes you imagine what would happen if you needed to get out in a rush... other than that, it's a good space.

I haven't been in over twenty years. Yes, that's right. imagine that. I came here for a Drag Brunch which is always entertaining. It was a private event, and the food was perfect for an all you can eat Brunch! I met one of my homegirls that I grew up with in the DC area. We had a ball. Parking is a bit tricky. They have street parking available but its limited. there is a parking lot nearby, but I wouldn't trust that unless it's on a Sunday. They have a sign displayed Mon-Sat. The Chateau is under new management. I always when I can support Pride Month. The performers work hard to get their recognition. They deserve to be recognized. I will continue with my support.

Considering the HH deals across DC, I'd have to say Crush is one of the best on Thursdays at least. I got to try a wide assortment of drinks here too, and absolutely loved the Pornstar Martini. Dear reader, Crush…read moreDance Bar is such a fun spot and easily one of my favorite places to go out in DC. The rooftop and open-air area is so nice and gives you the perfect place to hang out, catch a little air, and still feel part of the energy, which feels like a very strong social advantage. The drinks here are seriously so good. I always go for a crush, usually grapefruit, while my husband reliably orders the porn star martini, and both are excellent. The orange crush is also great, but the grapefruit is probably my favorite. The fact that they fresh squeeze the juice right at the bar is kind of crazy and honestly feels pretty unique in the District. As for the porn star martini, it is insanely good, and the alcoholic passion fruit foam takes it completely over the top in the best way. The bartenders are incredible and so kind, which always makes a place stand out more, and the music is always great. They also have frequent live DJs in house, which keeps the vibe fun and does a great job of highlighting local talent. Every time I have been, it has been a really great time from start to finish. Overall, Crush is the kind of place that makes it very easy to stay for one more drink and a little longer than planned. I will absolutely keep coming back.

There were six of us, and I'd say that was the perfect number to be comfortable. You could fit 10, but it would definitely be a little cramped. We ordered several different food items and drinks, and everything I had was good. The food did take a while to come out after we ordered, but honestly, we were having so much fun singing and enjoying ourselves that it didn't bother us too much. My only other small complaint was the song-search keyboard. Instead of a standard QWERTY keyboard, the letters are arranged alphabetically, which made searching for songs a little challenging at first. That said, there were PLENTY of songs to choose from across all different genres, so everyone was able to find something they wanted to sing. The best indication of how much fun we had? We ended up extending our time because nobody was ready to leave! Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend K Live Karaoke for a fun night out with friends. I'd absolutely go back!

The server was great with explaining everything and checking up on everyone. I do wish the 2 hours started at the time of check in because we checked in within the 15 minute grace period, which cut our time off a little short. The keyboard to type is also a bit strange as it's in alphabetical order instead of the standard keyboard. Overall, it's nice in here with the lights and you can tell everything is new.

It was exactly the kind of over-the-top bar food that works after a couple drinks. The atmosphere is really what makes the place. It was busy and energetic without feeling like a club, and we could still sit, have a drink, and actually talk. Cool spot for cocktails, snacks, and hanging out for a while.
