Meatloaf and crunchy tacos
Melissa J.

First of all, all of the hostess' greeted us and were welcoming and friendly. Our server, who was training another server was extremely knowledgeable in regard to the restaurant, menu and drinks. He told it all to us! He recommended food, drinks and desserts. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. However, I felt it could have been a little warmer(temperature wise)... not enough to take away a star.the restaurant got busier as we were eating but it never got too loud or felt like it was super crowded. I can't wait to go back!

Came for lunch today. Great experience! All the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The chopped chicken salad was very good. Had avocado, bacon, heirloom tomato, white cheddar, deviled egg, bacon bbq ranch. The Crispy chicken Katsu sandwich was equally delicious. It had japanese milk bread, spicy miso aioli, napa slaw, hoisin. Look forward to coming back for more.

I've been here in AZ a few years ago & I've been obsessed with it since so I am so happy they opened a location in Omaha! I was so pleased with everything. The food & drinks were amazing :') literally such a cute vibe in there too! Our server, Alexa was the sweetest ever. She had the best suggestions & made our experience so much better! So, thank you queen! I noticed they have live music on weekends so I'll definitely be coming back for that.

We tried Culinary Dropout for the first time last night. My husband got a cider and I started with a non-alcoholic cocktail, the Vida Verdita. I personally would not order this drink again; there was no jalapeño flavor and it was VERY cilantro forward. We ordered the BBQ Pork Nachos for an appetizer. These were delicious. The serving size is great, and all of the toppings were perfect. Delicious pork, plenty of nacho cheese, guacamole, and other toppings. Yum! My husband enjoyed his meatloaf and said the green beans and mashed potatoes on this side were also fantastic. I had a California Roll. This was pretty good, although it's very pricy for the amount of food you end up getting. I will say the service was kind of odd. Not unfriendly, but almost TOO friendly/upbeat in a disingenuous way, if that makes sense. We actually laughed after a couple interactions, like "what the heck was that?" Overall, this is definitely an upgrade and the food is tasty. I would go again!

Wow, what an amazing restaurant addition to Village Pointe! Sitting on the end of the main stretch across from the movie theater, Culinary Dropout just raised the bar for a dining experience. Ample seating throughout, a large bar area, and a live music area to showcase local talent in the back for every weekend! Now to the food. Their menu boasts a wide range of options from large appetizers, sushi rolls, and sandwiches, to that home cooked meal feeling with their fried chicken. I opted for Brussel sprouts instead of the mashed potatoes with my chicken, but let me tell you, please try the fried chicken. It was incredible! Crunchy, flaky and not greasy at all made this dish one I'll be coming back for. We also tried a few appetizers to sample their sushi and chips. The tempura shrimp roll tasted fresh and well made. The homemade chips and dip definitely hit the spot! The service was wonderful and since it was opening day, plenty of staff and managers ensured we had a good experience. Come for the food, and stay for the great vibes all at the new Culinary Dropout.

This place had mixed reviews but I wanted to try it. Great atmosphere live music and it was a full house. My expresso martini was delicious. We ordered the homemade pretzel bites with fondue for appetizer which were fresh and delicious. We both ordered the steak which was delicious. Our waiter was Greg and he was the best server I've had in a long time. He was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave us his recommendations and so personable and friendly! Great place to go back and do appetizers and drinks after a day of shopping. Ask for Greg because again his service was top notch!

Stopped in last night for drinks and dinner at the bar. Great space. It was nice hanging out for a beer and dinner. Bar service was friendly but somewhat inconsistent. Food was excellent. N

We had such a wonderful experience during our first visit! Sophia was an amazing server--she was attentive, always checking in on us, and made us feel so welcomed. I loved her energy and genuine kindness! My husband and I were actually talking about how impressed we were with the service from the moment we were greeted by the hostess, throughout our meal with Sophia, and even with those who delivered our food. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive. For our first visit, we were truly impressed. Sophia definitely helped make our experience special, and we will absolutely be back!

I think this is going to be a really good addition to the food scene here in Omaha. The service was fantastic, the food very good ( turkey pastrami on a homemade pretzel bun? I mean come you got to love it!), and the look of the restaurant was really nice. They did a really good job of overhauling the last place and giving it a different feel. Best part? You could hear the music and the people in your party easy. Great acoustics and there were a lot of people there too! Welcome to Omaha and good luck Culinary Dropout!

We had no idea about this place before we went. It reminds me of an upscale Charlestons but more of a cool vibe. The food was really good, scratch kitchen. The pretzels and fondue cheese was amazing. Best I've had. All of our meals were delicious. This will be a great place for brunch or to celebrate a birthday! Service was excellent (Thanks Sophia) they had live music but it wasn't insane loud which I like. They also have a kids menu just fyi! My son got a burger plain and he said it was the best burger he ever had! I tried it because well best burger ever. It taste flame broiled. Awesome.

The theme is so cool. They had live music. Service was excellent. Food was delicious!

Best rib I have taste so far. They nicely split the ribs for my husband and me. My son order the Steak and we try a cut is very tender and delicious. Decor very nice. They have live music all the server was friendly. Food comes out fast. We been told about 1 hr wait so we walk around the mall and the queue comes before 1 hr. Totally will recommend this place if you visit Omaha Nebraska.

Michael Rye was fantastic!

Good food. Poor service. Good ambiance. Over priced for the level of service we didn't receive. Location in Tuscon Arizona is way better.

We waited quite a while for the drinks to come out, we asked the waiter and he said the bartender was new, when they did come out they were mixed very poorly. My drink was nonalcoholic and extremely sour, I didn't try the alcoholic drink but I was told it was very strong and overpowering. Our appetizers came quickly after that, we had the nachos and the crab Rangoon fries. I'm not a big crab person, and have disliked crab Rangoon fries from other places but these were really good. The nachos were spicy and tasty. I ordered steak and fries, it came out cold to the touch on half of the plate. It had clearly been sitting under a heat lamp and not very well. Getting past that part, it was very good, my friend said her pasta was also very good. The waiter was nice, he could have asked us how our food was or if we needed anything more than once and paid a little more attention to the water glasses. However he was very friendly and even though we never complained about the drinks he took them off of the bill, I'm guessing he noticed they were less than half way gone when we were done. If someone asked me to go back I would agree without hesitation but personally it would not be the first place I suggested if someone asked me. It's good, but just there's just slightly better places in omaha.

It was kind of cool to see it very empty, because we could admire all the goat accents around the interior and the cool bar, without a million people around it. There was a brunch menu at that early hour, but we decided to stick with the normal menu. Our server was great, and definitely very attentive since we were the only party in the place the entire time we were there. I had just had dental surgery so there were only a few things I could eat. I got the Meatballs appetizer (to cut up and have some meat in my stomach) and the French Onion Soup, which was the soup of the day. The French Onion Soup was super creamy and delicious. I'm used to there being just sort of darker brown with the cream and cheese on top only. This was totally cream colored and hearty. It came with a few pieces of bread points too that were good to dip/soak in the soup. My more substantial part of my meal, the meatballs, were a little less appetizing though. First off they came in a bowl, so they are not easy to cut at all (being giant meatballs, I would think anyone would want to cut them a little). And secondly, the meatballs themselves were kind of flavorless. There was some marina style sauce in the bowl with them, but the meat of the meatballs themselves had no seasoning or flavor. My husband got the caesar salad with chicken, and he was not a huge fan. It was way too heavily dressed that the salad leaves were almost wilty, and the chicken that was in the salad was cut in huge pieces - not easily eaten without sawing at the huge bits. So the food was not the star at this visit (except for the side of French onion soup), but the service and atmosphere were still great. I would return to Stokin' Goat but maybe choose some other items next time, when I can eat more substantial food.

The restaurant itself played music and was very very clean!! Food itself was fresh but average. Wheat or white bread are the beginning options. Toasted to them means grilled, whereas a "cold cut" is still toasted bread. It's a good thing to know going into ordering decisions. I ordered the Italian sub and it was ok- I think it would've been better without the grill because the oils from the meat had soaked the bread. Boyfriend, C's Review: Service was prompt and professional. The restaurant itself was very cleaned and organized. Food made fresh although overhyped in my opinion. I ordered the club cold cut and it came out with the bread toasted and made it dry which we now know is their normal. I do not care for toasted sandwiches. With so many other sub sandwich places in Omaha this wouldn't be my go-to. It was nice to finally give this place a try! They do support Down Syndrome Adoption which is amazing and something I did not know before going into the restaurant!!
