    Halfway done. Yummy!

All the food here are made from scratch. Why? Because this restaurant is run my city college students. Here, they need to learn how to make everything from scratch in order to graduate and work in an actual restaurant or hotel and what not. They have breakfast lunch and dinner times open from a certain time period so get here on time. Many of the foods here are good like the burrito :) Although the chicken wings are good, they are quite expensive and really really small. Lots of seats around but may be noisy. If you're a city college student, come on down and check out the food culinary students made!

Since I work on the CCSF campus, I eat lunch here almost every Monday, and I have to say this student run cafeteria is a unexpected treat. A entree with two sides is only about $7. The food always is tasty and the veggies always fresh and flavorful. Today I had Veal cutlet w/roasted cauliflower and sautéed zucchini, and it was delicious. Obviously this isn't a place you go for presentation or refinement, but it's a great for a solid affordable meal.

This is a hidden gem. We are visiting SF and staying near City College. Our first three days we had great breakfasts but spent almost $50/ meal. We decided to try the Culinary Cafeteria since it was near the bus stop we needed. The food was delicious and very reasonable. Most days we fed our family of three for under $20!! We wanted to try lunch or dinner but we're always out and about when they were serving those meals.

Great chow place for bfast through dinner. Plus, the prices are affordable. Average price is $6-7 which is pretty good for SF considering it is a culinary type outing.

One side order of the breakfast scramble. Good, but literally a pool of butter/oil collecting on the bottom of the plate.

We were seated in a great spot, and the waitstaff was engaging, attentive, and friendly. Our food arrived hot, fresh, and in a timely manner. However, you can freely sit at the bar and receive full service so we did that and sat down right away. Note that you can make reservations so i highly recommend it! The staff is very friendly. The decor definitely gives an upscale vibe, perfect for a nice brunch or date, and the restaurant has a nice bar space. We got the Huevos Rancheros and Classic Quesadilla. with Chicken. Huevos Rancheros is usually my go to but it didn't quite hit the spot this time. The sauce had a little too much lemon to me. I also wish there was less rice and maybe another side or something. The quesadilla was good. It was a hearty portion filled with a decent amount of meat (added cost). We've been here before and overall, the food is solid.

We circled just once and may have gotten lucky. THE WAIT None, there was one other table with diners when we arrived. When we left around 7pm there were a few more tables with diners. THE COST $102.26 total including tax/tip for 2 adult entrees, 2 cocktails, 1 beer, 2 kids' entrees. THE SERVICE Good, fairly quick, one bartender who also served all the tables. You can order through the bartender or on your phone via the QR code. The Matcha-Jito wasn't great and our bartender swapped it out for a different drink for me. THE FOOD * Paper Plane ($13) - 4.5 stars. My partner thought this was really good - zesty, sweet, yet the whiskey still shined through. I dont usually like whiskey drinks and even I enjoyed this. * Matcha-Jito ($14) - 2 stars. Doesn't taste like matcha or a mojito much at all, overly strong. * Lavender Gimlet ($13) - 4 stars. Lovely, well balanced drink. * Kid's Mac & Cheese ($7) - 3 stars. Fine, quite salty. * Kid's Grilled Cheese ($6) - 3 stars. Also fine, cheese tasted like velveeta though. * Seared Ahi Tacos ($14.50) - 3 stars. Tuna had just a hint of pink. The toppings were a bit boring, could have used more variation/sauces. * Crispy Buffalo Chicken Burger ($17) - 4 stars. Chicken was very tender & moist. A little too much buffalo sauce (a bit messy to eat), bun was a little mushy but it did hold together. The fries were quite soft and plain.

What made this meal extra special were the details - rosemary scented fries, fresh mint scenting the blackberries of the lemon blackberry cake, and cocktails made with care. Well, in December, that night finally came and oh, what a night. There wasn't a single bad bite. We got so much!! We had the steak, followed by a stunning persimmon dish, a perfectly balanced salad, crispy broccoli, and the mushroom pasta with whipped cheese, meat, and bread. rich, comforting, and absolutely unforgettable. We ended the night with cannoli, which was truly chef's kiss. A place that lives up to the hype and then some. Very cute place and the best service ever I felt like we've known the waiter forever! We started off with the beet salad and warm focaccia with olive oil, garlic, and balsamic vinegar. The combination of hot bread with sweet, cool beets was a perfect contrast. The beets were perfectly cooked and came with crunchy, candied pecans over a light bed of whipped ricotta. I could not get enough, especially of the candied pecans. The focaccia was perfectly cooked and super light and fluffy. You can tell that the olive oil and balsamic vinegar are of the highest quality and the dip paired so well with the bread. For our mains, my husband got the rigatoni while I got the gnocchi carbonara (at the waiter's suggestion). Both of us were extremely happy with our choices. I'm used to getting gnocchi dishes that are super dense and doughy but in this dish, it was melting in your mouth. The infusion of the duck flavors really came through in the sauce and you had crispy meat sprinkled on top as well to give a contrasting texture to the rest of the dish. The rigatoni came with a couple of meatballs and sausages that you can tell are freshly made in house as they were tender and flavorful. The marinara sauce had a hint of sweetness with the tartness of the tomato sauce to balance it out. The pasta might have been a hair undercooked but it didn't make the dish any less delicious. For dessert, we ended with a chocolate tiramisu - a bed of moist, chocolate cake with a layer of coffee cream and cream on top, it was a delicious twist on the classic dish. We both agreed that we can't wait for our next visit back to Ofena!
