It's a cozy, intimate pizza shop with just a few tables, which creates a great local vibe where the focus is clearly on the quality of the food and the people. We started with the Vodka Knots and Pepperoni Knots, both of which were delicious, but the main courses really stole the show. We ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza and the Chicken Parmesan, which we paired with the Sachetti pasta. The highlight of the entire meal was definitely that pasta. I've never had Sachetti before, but they are like these perfect little "purses" stuffed with creamy ricotta cheese. The texture and flavor were incredible--a must-order if you visit. What really makes Cugino's feel special, though, is the service. Our waitress, Adrienne, always welcomes us back with such a friendly and genuine attitude. I've heard about this spot for a while, and I've had their stuffed pizza a few times before but always after it had cooled down or sat in the fridge. This was my first time actually eating at Cugino's, and spoiler alert: this is great pizza. We came as a family and decided to do it right. We started with vodka garlic knots, fried calamari, and fried mozzarella. The garlic knots with vodka sauce were a huge hit, perfect pairing. The calamari was well seasoned and fried just right, and the mozzarella was hot, crispy, and exactly what you want. For my main, I went with the meat lovers pizza and was not disappointed. It came out loaded with bacon, sausage, pepperoni, and ham, and every bite was packed with flavor. Everyone else ordered their own personal pies, and each one was a win. The biggest thing we all noticed was that everything came out fresh from the oven, and you could really taste the quality in the food. Service was friendly, helpful, and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. This turned into a great Saturday lunch, and I'm already looking forward to coming back to try more of their specialty pies. 5/5 stars. read more

We walked in for an early dinner right after a baby shower ended there. They were cleaning the room and flatware but graciously let us have a seat. The service was great! All of the food came out hot and the server was able to tell us about what we chose. From bread and salad to dinner, it was a fantastic meal. The cost? $50 for all of it. I went to Cugino's today for lunch and ate inside. It was fantastic as always. Very clean. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs (kids size) and it was large enough for me to take home leftovers. The owner Maria was super sweet, welcoming and adored my friend's 2 year old daughter. Our waitress was super nice, helpful, and took great care of us. Their menu is LARGE so it took some time for me to decide what I wanted because it all just sounded so good. I love how they decorated for Valentine's Day too. We moved to Florida and we wish we could bring Cuginos with us. Well actually, don't judge... but we have packed up food to fly home with us a few times! We CRAVE the food and we look forward to dining here every time we visit NY. We love everything we have tried but a few of our favorites are the Pizza, Garlic Knots with Cheese, Thai Chili Wings well done, hot honey espresso slice with pepperoni, Eggplant Parm, Chicken Parm and Penne Ala Vodka. We have ordered trays of the Penne Ala Vodka and Eggplant Parm in the past as well, and it's a guaranteed hit at parties! My husband has always said you can put their Vodka sauce on a shoe and it will taste good. It's a family owned and operated restaurant. The owner Maria is an absolute gem and the staff is friendly and attentive. The restaurant is always clean and nicely decorated. However, no matter what time you call or what you order the wait is 35-40 minutes, plus 10 minutes on hold to which i have been hung up on twice and an additional 10 minutes when you get to the pizzeria. It's a huge turn off. Which is why most times I order from Badabing instead. I could order 20 things and the wait is never more then 20-25 minutes. Dining room separated by side door, then a straight hallway to the back of house where takeouts can be placed. Glad i came early because they had 5 orders standby. Few ppl waiting on orders. Can hear the mgr in background worried about supply. I meant to order a meatball pizza, but instead ordered a meatlovers pizza. Oh boy! Meatballs, prosciutto, pepperoni, bacon were on this heavy pie. Reminds me of Numero Unos deep dish pizza, except its homemade without extra dough. It fills any appetite down to the core. One or two slice of this is an entire meal. The pizza here is great. It had become the new go-to for my family whenever we decide to get some pizza, which is hard to get us to swap. Granted, I can't say Cuginos is the king of pizza, but they're definitely a suitable contender in the market of pizzerias. Their prices are good, and they have a pretty large drink selection that a lot of pizzerias do not have. Two very large coolers in the lobby filled with a large variety of soft drinks is a good thing to have. I really love Cuginos. It's right next to Minisink school, convenient and I absolutely adore the owners. Now, my number one problem is that there isn't a eatery for small orders. If you are not dining there (full blown meal) you cannot sit in the dining area. I would not make a fuss about it if we had a actual place to sit. There is sometimes a little table by the door but I'm the winter it's freezing in that little area and I refuse to sit my children. I've never been to a eatery where they divide or chose for you where you can sit depending on your orders. If they had a larger area with adequate seating, tables and temperatures I wouldn't mind. read more
