Because of the delay, the timing became difficult for us. My husband had to leave shortly after the ultrasound started, which was really disappointing since we were hoping to experience that moment together. During the ultrasound, the technician performing the scan was being trained by another staff member. I completely understand the need for training, but it did make the appointment feel longer and less smooth than expected. At that point, I asked if I could reschedule because the experience just wasn't going how we had hoped. I was told I only had two weeks to use my credit, which felt a bit restrictive. I ended up requesting a refund and they were willing to provide it, which I appreciated. The staff were kind and professional, and I'm grateful for that. However, the overall experience just didn't match what we were expecting. To be fair, the ultrasound quality was about the same as the ones I've received at my OB/GYN's office. I really wanted this to be a special experience, but unfortunately it didn't turn out that way.

Location/Ambiance: There are other services offered at this clinic but, this review is solely for 'A Happy Colon.' It's located in Poway near other businesses. It can be tricky to find at first but Gretchen gave me easy and detailed directions. Private parking lot with plenty of parking on a Sunday afternoon. Entrance door is 'Return to Wellness' and offers other holistic/therapeutic services from acupuncture to colon hydrotherapy. The clinic has an inviting waiting area (see pics). The vibe was automatically relaxing and welcoming. Gretchen's suite is clean (pet peeve!) and had a zen-like feel ! I could easily fall asleep in there. Customer service: Gretchen was very informative from the start. She texted me information on what to do prior to the colon hydrotherapy and what to expect. She was also flexible with scheduling. She was very professional, kind, and made the experience very comfortable and relaxing for me. I appreciated her detailed explanations of the products and machine used. She answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable about colonics. I also found out that she's a fellow vegan too. Woot ! Prices are reasonable and if you buy packages you save more. She also has a FB page with more information. Just search 'A Happy Colon.' She accepts payment through Venmo, which is fast, safe, and secure. As of today, she offers the following: $75 for individual sessions 3/$195 - I purchased this ! 5/$315 10/$600 Coffee implants or other implants are an additional $10. For my first session I tried her organic "Therapy Coffee." I was able to take it all in, which was impressive for my first time with her. Outcome: A sense of euphoria! I know it sounds strange, but something about releasing toxins and build up from your system is invigorating. I felt cleansed and lighter after my first session. Apparently, this is normal and I ain't mad about it ! I already booked my next two sessions with her and looking forward to it. Update: A few days in and I already feel a change in my digestion. I did make a few changes with my eating habits and the biggest is taking time to actually chew my food. Haha we are always in a rush so it's important to take your time people. It can be a challenge at times due to my work schedule, but at least I have the awareness. I just need to make it a daily habit. Verdict: 5 Stars ! Highly recommend Gretchen and 'A Happy Colon.'
