My husband is an animal lover so I surprised him and my kids with a visit to Cuddle Bunny. It was a soothing, quiet hour of bunny love. So therapeutic. All of the bunnies are very loving. They were comfortable around us and they were curious to get to know new friends. They seemed to be taken care of and loved VERY WELL!! Some were free to explore while others were in their enclosures. The enclosures have info cards of the bunnies you were visiting with. It was cool to learn facts about each bunny. The space is very clean, has a serene vibe and it will take away any stress. We were welcomed warmly and given instructions. We wash our hands first and throughout the hour we rotate so each group has a chance to visit every enclosure and spend time with all of the bunnies. The gift shop is full of bunny things, very cute. Not bad at all. I paid for the hour, but my daughter and I stayed about 30 minutes. You get to spend 20 minutes on each enclosure, and there are 1-2 bunnies in each. The young lady working the desk was very nice and luckily the place wasn't busy so we got ample time with the bunnies. But there wasn't much cuddling going on (as the name of the business would suggest.) You're not allowed to pick up the bunnies, and several stayed in the corner of the enclosure and wouldn't move. A couple of them let you pet them endlessly, and that was fun. But I just assumed there would be running, jumping and more activity. My daughter enjoyed it, so that's all that mattered. You get a full hour which is 20 minutes each to interact with three different groups of rabbits in their private enclosures. They even have bunny yoga so you can sign up for these classes online if you want cuddle therapy or bunny yoga. I feel warm all over. Most therapeutic self treat I've had in a while and you can purchase a monthly membership here for just $30 a month which is great deal if you decide to book an hour long cuddle therapy session at least once a week. The staff here is extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with offering up a bit of background advice and education. Being here was the highlight of my day and I will definitely be back to try their rabbit yoga sessions. read more

I have found the ultimate serotonin & oxytocin boost and it's at Cuddle Bunny! For an hour, you are able to spend time with their 14 domesticated rabbits, many of which have been rescued from difficult situations. It was so relaxing and enjoyable; such a welcome escape from the outside world! Reservations are required and ages five and up are allowed. They also have weekend evening activities, which include bunny yoga & pilates, meditation, poetry/creative writing, crafting & tie-dye events, neon black light painting, etc.  The rabbits are absolute sweethearts; everyone inside playing with the bunnies had the biggest smiles on their face! Very enjoyable and relaxing experience! We paid $20 for an hour of time. The space was very clean and well maintained. You can tell the rabbits are well taken care of. There are 3 enclosures and a total of 6 rabbits. The most social bunny was Cash. We were expecting a little more action or movement from the animals but they all stayed curled up in the corners of the playpens. The only part that was disappointing is the business name. "Cuddle Bunny" gives the impression you will be able to at least hold them but you are only allowed to pet them on their heads and back pretty much. When I first heard about this place I knew my 10 year old daughter would be all about it. She wanted to plan a special downtown day for her bestie's bday and when I gave her some covid friendly options Cuddle Bunny was on the top of her list! I booked a reservation online a few weeks before visiting, although I think a few days ahead of time would be plenty. We arrived a few min before our 1pm reservation, checked in and was shown to the first bunny playpen. There were a total of 4 playpens that each had 1 to 2 bunnies in them....and you got to spend 15 minutes in each of them. While picking up a bunny isn't allowed (there goes the cuddling), you can brush them, play with them, feed them and just stare at them. Our very first bunny was a very large calm bunny named Grey Ghost who didn't do much...and honestly 15 minutes felt like a really long time (as adorable as he was). However, the other bunnies were a bit more playful and the time went faster. My daughter and her friend loved the entire experience and had so much fun with the bunnies. To be honest I was a bit grossed out , mostly by all the bunny poop, but was happy they were so happy. When our hour was up I told them they could each choose something from the little shop up front, but it was so hard to choose from all the adorable bunny stuff- so they each left with bunny stuffed animals, pens & stickers. The staff was even nice enough to give my daughter's friend a bday pin! My daughter has asked a few times since last weekend when we can go back and visit the bunnies (and meet some new ones) and has even been following them on their IG. I think I had my share of bunnies for awhile, but do admit it was a fun way to kill an afternoon (especially a rainy one like the day we went)...and can't wait til after the pandemic when they are able to offer more creative classes with the bunnies. I visited Cuddle Bunny a few weeks ago after seeing it on Instagram. Seeing that reservations for a weekend slot seem to fill up quickly, I had high expectations. The workers were very knowledgeable and friendly. I was disappointed though that you don't actually get to cuddle a bunny (so the name of the business is a little misleading), guests are not permitted to pick up the rabbits, which I can understand for the safety of the animals. Some of the rabbits are not very interactive, some are so it's a roll of the dice what you'll get. Guests are rotated to different pens and every 20 minutes so you get time with up to 6 different rabbits. In our last pen was the softest bunny ever - we're talking like chinchilla soft. My partner and I planned a trip to Cancun earlier this year before we decided to be rabbit parents. We did a quick search on Yelp for rabbit boarding just to see what would come up, since rabbits just aren't as common whether it's finding a vet or something so niche like rabbits. I was already overwhelmed on Wednesday night, the night I drop off my rabbit, I had to do it by myself and it was also our first time doing rabbit boarding and leaving her for 4 nights at Cuddle Bunny. It would've been 3 but because we left first thing Thursday morning, I needed to drop her off the night before, and Cuddle Bunny is also conveniently located up the street from my esthetician in LakevieThe staff member was so calm and sweet, she even came out to grab my rabbit's pet carrier, and allowed me to unload my car right outside. They also never pressured me about deposits or payment, it made the experience feel like they're genuinely great people who love everyone's rabbits. I'm glad they gave me the option to call in, key in a card etc. We came back to Chicago on Sunday night and would've missed the opportunity to pick our rabbit up from Cuddle Bunny, and I'm so happy they were accommodating and allowed one of my close friends to swing by and collect her. They also texted me pictures of my rabbit CinnaBun's stay. I'd definitely use them again, and they did a really amazing job with her. My rabbit looks so calm and stress free. Cuddle bunny is a unique and creative business for rabbit lovers in Chicago. Rare gem that opened during COVID. You can interact with their rabbits (pet and feed, but not pick up) or check out their gift shop. We also heard they host many events at the location, such as yoga or painting in the presence of the bunnies. When my girlfriend and I checked this place out, we got one hour to interact with four bunnies for 15 minutes each. The owner was very kind. Since we had the last time slot, she let us interact a bit longer after the hour. The rabbits had different personalities. Our favorite was GG, the Flemish giant. There was no odor, and the rabbits were docile and groomed. We were given cilantro to feed the rabbits. The gift shop is amazing. If you are a fan of rabbits, you will find items (especially from Oxbow) that you cannot buy from Petco or Amazon. They also have cute rabbit-shaped jewelry and lights. If you're a student, bring your ID to get your discount. Don't bring young children (or clear it with the business first), because they may scare the rabbits. I finally got to pet some adorable bunnies and as much as I loved the experience it got boring pretty fast. One off the rules is that you cannot lift the bunnies and have to let them come to you. Unfortunately most of the bunnies do not want to come to you and would rather stay in their corners or with their partner bunnies. They do give you some food to give to each bunny but it doesn't last long. I think kids would probably like the experience a lot more but I'm still glad I tried it. read more

Fun So we got there a few minutes late, and they had a bathroom across from the baby gate (baby gate so the rabbits don't run away.) where we washed our hands, and the lady explained the rules. We had Gigi, Moo, and other ADORABLE bunnies. The bathrooms and overall building was thankfully very sanitary. The floors were hard, so I'm happy that they had pillows you and the bunnies can sit on.
