Up until today, I would have given a 5 star review. I went to drop off 1 dolly full of items. The front garage had a sign over the key pad that read:
"DUE TO DAMAGE CAUSED BY A BOX TRUCK TO OUR BACK DOOR THE MAIN DOOR WILL BE LOCKED UNIT REPAIRS ARE MADE.
PLEASE USE SIDE DOORS UNIT FURTHER NOTICE
SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE WORKING TO RESOLVE ISSUE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE.
THANK YOU
MANAGEMENT
(Yes, it was the word unit not until) so I backed up and went to the side gate, which was the only other way in that I was aware of and drove around towards the back looking for a side "door" and the back garage was WIDE open. So I pulled in, loaded my stuff on the provided dolly, had started unloading and was about 3 minutes from being done when the only employee that works there yelled from the end of the row that I needed to move my vehicle. She proceeded to tell me that I obviously did not read the clearly posted sign that CLEARLY stated cars were not supposed to pull into the garage. I told her I'd seen a sign about the doors (well, tried to tell her, she repeatedly interrupted me - in a raised tone) I told her I needed less than 3 minutes and she said I needed to move it NOW. That she "had enough to deal with." I asked her to please change her tone to which she told me she did not care about her tone. I got my vehicle moved outside and went back in and hastily shoved my belongings into the unit because she continued to yell down the hallway that once she got the tarp up, I wouldn't have access to my vehicle because of where I parked. I locked my unit and returned the dolly to where they belong and proceeded to go to my vehicle, with her still saying things to me. I did exit my vehicle to ask her name to which she replied "I'm the only one who works here." I've had a couple pleasant interactions with her and she has told me she works 6 out of 7 days a week. She informed me she has "100's of positive reviews" and that I'm the only negative experience she's ever had. And I get that people have bad days / bad moments. I asked multiple times for her to please change her tone and the way she was speaking to me to give her a chance to act professionally, but I think she knows that because she is the only employee, she won't face consequences, she can speak to people how she wants to. She did, after all, TELL ME to call customer service. Afterwards I drove to the front to check the sign to see what I had missed, and got a picture. She came bursting out the front door, towards the main key pad as I pulled off. The back garage was still wide open, still no tarp in place. If anything happens to my stuff, I'll know why.
Still gets 2 stars because when the doors are functional, the facility is nice. There was a bit of trash lying around today but I'll chalk that up to the only employee having "enough to deal with." The pricing is fair as well. read more
