This facility is really nice with very helpful staff. Especially appreciate the moving van that can be used by customers!

I appreciate all your hard work, professionalism and positive attitudes through the entire process. I'll definitely use you guys again when it's time to move into my new place, and highly recommend you guys to anyone who's looking for movers they can trust!

Very disappointed only a few hundred dollars was removed at the end (of course). Only one of the three movers introduced herself upon arrival -- it wasn't until almost halfway through we realized Mike Hollywood himself was the crew chief. One of the women was very nice, hard working and did a good job. The other one who arrived late was surly, argumentative, accusatory and extremely unpleasant the entire day. A complete hoyden who is not good for business nor relationships. Ask her to please tape closed the holes on a wardrobe so dust wouldn't get in? Oh boy. Couldn't have been more unpleasant and her work was as unprofessional as her attitude. Awful. Mike was nice especially on the phone, but pretty casual with the toll of tape that was twisted around boxes maybe once when they needed more reinforcement. But what would the client know? Mike and one worker were right on time, the second one sneaked right into our house late, without knocking or announcing herself. Good job unloading (except again for the big woman who was unpleasant and argumentative to the last!) and placed things as requested. Quality of materials was good, wrapped properly, and they made good use of our blankets and other things for more cushioning. When asked to wear shoe covers we provided, they refused, saying that would be an OSHA violation. But according to our research, It's highly unlikely that wearing shoe covers in a private residence would be considered an OSHA violation or inherently unsafe for movers, and their claim sounds questionable. OSHA regulations focus on ensuring worker safety through appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when specific hazards are present, such as falling objects, sharp edges, or slippery surfaces. Shoe covers, when used properly (e.g., non-slip varieties), do not typically create a safety hazard that would violate OSHA standards. In fact, many moving companies use shoe covers as a standard practice to protect customers' floors without issue. The movers' refusal might stem from a misunderstanding of OSHA rules, a company policy, or simply reluctance to comply with your request. If the shoe covers were inappropriate for the environment (e.g., slippery on certain surfaces), they could argue a safety concern, but blanketly calling it an OSHA violation without evidence seems like a stretch. OSHA doesn't explicitly prohibit shoe covers; it only requires footwear to be appropriate for the job's hazards (e.g., steel-toe boots for heavy lifting). I'm surprised the big woman didn't try to cite HIPAA as well! I suspect the two young women are somehow related to the company owner Mike Hollywood although this was not disclosed. If you have had a bad experience with bigger names companies like College Hunks you will find working with Mike and his experience a welcome change. He did a good job using good materials and everything seems to be in good shape. He needs to do some serious attitude readjustment on the big woman because she was a complete horror and will ultimately affect his business and not in a good way.
