Their initial estimate for 3 movers and a large truck came in lower than similar vendors offering only 2 movers and a large truck. After all was finished, they were done quicker and less expensive than their initial estimate! Some good friends of ours recommended MoveWise, and we are so grateful to have gotten the tip. Estimate, payment, and communication was a breeze. Will contact them again for our next move!

We sent a deposit with Venmo as requested by Robert. I received a call at around 8:40am on Saturday morning that did not leave a voice mail. I called and spoke to Robert who told me our crew was in Springfield and would be heading our way after they were done unloading. As the day unfolded the time tentatively changed to 1-2pm. I called a few more times in the afternoon and no one answered. I later got a text from Robert that stated "Let give them a call now sorry I have no service ". I never heard back until several hours later in the late afternoon. I received this text from Robert "We are truly sorry our guys can't make it to you on time today we was running behind and I was currently on the plane with no service. I can refund you your $20 to Venmo on Monday morning I can send it to your Apple Pay right now whichever one works best for you once again we are truly sorry!! " I requested a $20 deposit refund by Venmo on Monday morning. We never received a refund for the deposit. Unfortunately, we would not be able to recommend this company. Our experience was not good.

I would say the price is definitely expensive but they wrapped all my furniture with blankets then topped it with actual furniture wrap. Loaded and unloaded the truck in a very organized manner. And they drove from point A (NJ) to point B (IL), mind you that's a 14 hour commute, in one day (they stopped to sleep for the night). It was really a flawless experience. We chose the expedited option for our move so that's also why it was more expensive and what we were quoted didn't change at all because of the move option we chose. I would definitely feel comfortable moving with this company again! No complaints here!

Disappointing Experience with Peoria Team, Madison Team Was Great…read more I recently moved from Peoria, IL to Madison, WI on Monday, 2/2/26 using Two Men and a Truck, and unfortunately the experience was very mixed. The Peoria team was a major letdown. They arrived late and did not provide the level of service that was agreed upon. Several pieces of furniture -- some over 40 years old -- were supposed to be properly wrapped and protected, and that simply did not happen. As a result, multiple items were damaged. When the Madison movers unloaded the truck, they immediately noted that the truck had not been loaded correctly, which they confirmed likely caused the damage. In contrast to Peoria, the Madison crew was professional, careful, and communicative. One especially concerning issue: an open knife was left on top of a couch inside the truck. Had the Madison movers not noticed it in time, someone could have been seriously injured. This shows a serious lack of care and safety awareness by the Peoria team. I've been trying to resolve these issues with the Peoria home office, but responses have been slow and unhelpful so far, which has only added to the frustration. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend using another service, or at the very least avoiding the Peoria location. The Madison team did their best to fix a bad situation, but the damage was already done.

Ours was delivered last week by two men, one of which was extremely rude to me and my family members as soon as they arrived (2 hours late). Complained about the job, accused us of being unprepared (took off work and moved stove and cabinetry out of kitchen). He was referring to our need to remove the doors of the fridge to get it in the house -we told Menards we would need to do this and they assured us it would be no problem. His partner left during the delivery because "time is money". He tried to do it alone and nearly dropped the fridge and then he dented our stove with the old one. We asked him to please call his partner back and he said that the waiver I signed meant he could "damage whatever he wanted". Repeatedly said "I should leave this on your front porch" and "you're lucky I'm still here". Demanded extra cash on top of what we prepaid. Ultimately the partner (who was kind and apologetic) returned and they were able to bring it in no problem. My husband did at least 50% of the work bringing in doors and removing the old fridge while he sat on his phone and complained. We asked them to leave without installing because of his behavior and attitude. Menards refunded us and said they have had similar complaints before. Will never hire or recommend. I feel bad for the apologetic partner, he probably could've done a good job without the other guy!

Packing was haphazard to say the least. I paid to have my things packed and loaded, then unloaded and unpacked at the new house. The guy with the box van showed up at the new house with two new day laborers. They dragged furniture across the hardwood floors seriously damaging the finish. All kinds of things were broken. One of a kind original artwork was damaged, a Bassett chest of drawers was gouged in two places, significant items of property are missing, nothing was unpacked. None of the three beds was properly put back together. A 55" flat panel TV no longer functioned. There is more but you get the picture. I payed $7000 to American believing it to be a name I could trust, believing you get what you pay for. Boy was I wrong!

Almost all furniture damaged, chipped tables, broken sleigh bed, broken hutch. China and Waterford broken, antiques broken! Just horrible! There policy wants us to take it in and pay for it to get fixed. Then fight them for reimbursement! Really! How do I replace heirloom possessions! I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone! We spent over 11K to get our damaged furniture back. So disgusting!
