Here's how to deal with the above mentioned points: 1) If you're unfamiliar with the groceries there, thankfully most of it is in English so you can read it/look it up on Google, whatever. I tend to wait until another shopper is in the aisle and "looks friendly" enough to ask his/her advice---most of the time, people are happy to speak about their culture/food and welcome questions or give advice---yes, even in NY lol 2) Reach into the freezers far enough to grab the box/bags from the back which are much more frozen than the ones nearer the front. General tips: Go early because the place fills up quick. Don't take a shopping cart (use a basket instead) because the aisles are somewhat narrow. There is a price scanner in a couple of the aisles that you are welcome to use if needed. AMAZINGLY large selection and VERY GOOD prices!! It's amazing how much stuff you can pick up here for much less than other places on the same street.

Customer service is, indeed, nonexistent and albeit dismissive, curt, mired in disgruntled melancholy behavioral appearance exhibited and transparent to customers. Return policy is absolutely deplorable egregiously inferior and excessively poor standards of a traditional brick and mortar business. I agree with previous Yelpers with the excessively poor female cashiers' customer service and stolid dismissive behaviors. They do, indeed, exhibit rude scowl belligerent looks to customers as serial thieves. If you're looking for Guyanese rice, as well as other bulk rice packages, they have it. The staff is customer friendly enough. Some of the cashiers are quite nice and take the time to say hello to my kid and that always scores points with me. I've shopped here maybe 4 times since they've opened and it's a good market. It's as good as any of the other ethnic markets in the neighborhood but with that added bonus that it's super close to home. Normally, if I want to buy lots of fruit, I have to go down to Lefferts and Liberty - but not anymore. Definitely give these people a try. Could not believe they had the lowest price I have ever seen on Boursin which is a French ingredient secret to my mashed potatoes that make my garlic whipped mashed potatoes taste the same as the ones served at The Wynn Hotel Las Vegas. Lines were moving quickly and cashiers seem nice. I was particularly happy that all terminals for payment were up and working. They used the space well and set it up in a cohesive manner. I'm impressed with what they managed to do inside as I remember how it was laid out when it was Duane Reade. This neighborhood/zip code definitely needed another market. There are two other Keyfood markets in the area but at least for me, you can't beat walking for just 2 minutes and bam, you're at the market. As it is opening day/week, they have some nice opening sales happening. I'll continue to shop here in the coming weeks and months and see if the service quality remains up to par. I'm a satisfied customer so far.
