Trader Joe's Rego Park is my favorite Trader Joe's in NYC! Upon entering the market everything is very organized, staff greet customers warmly, very helpful. I always go in saying, just picking up a couple of items, and those couple of items turn into two bags or more of grocery. Definitely get ADD when I visit Trader Joe's! This location always has my favorites in stock, no crazy traffic jams with 40 minute wait check out lines. Could not believe they had the lowest price I have ever seen on Boursin which is a French ingredient secret to my mashed potatoes that make my garlic whipped mashed potatoes taste the same as the ones served at The Wynn Hotel Las Vegas. Unbelievable... this ingredient has risen to $3 higher in price due to tariffs. Tonight I will make lemon butter salmon with capers, garlic whipped mashed potatoes with sautéed asparagus! Atmosphere is upbeat, helpful, super friendly!

Trader Joe's Rego Park Believe it or not I had a life before I joined Yelp. There was a time when I visited Queens a lot to shop because Manhattan was limited in variety. There were trips to Target, DSW, Sears, Outback Steakhouse and this Trader Joe's. I've been to so many locations because TJ's is a family favorite. Recently though I'm unhappy with the presentation of the chopped Spinach. My daughter tried the new Spinach Cubes and agreed with me that it is going to be very hard to get Five servings from the bag. I've taken photos to show you what I mean. My daughter has already decided to get her chopped Spinach elsewhere. I'm probably going to do the same even if I pay more. Trader Joe's should have left the product alone! This location is still four stars for efficiency, cleanliness, and friendly employees. That's pretty much the norm at all the locations!

I go here for a few key items. The French onion focaccia, flowers for the low low $ and alllll the condiments and spices! This place also has free parking and a Michaels department store right door, you can't beat that! The service here is also top tier, staff is ready, willing and able to help AND they walk you to the item that you are looking for!! Where does that happen in NYC?! Because it doesn't!!! The store is always clean and has hand sanitizer and wipes. Go here!!!

Traders Joe's....you love em and sometimes you don't love em. Welp, this location is decent. There seems to be times when the employees communication is off. I have asked if they can look in the back for things and they will but then not come back out for some time. They do normally have great selection, but can lack in certain areas. Even when the store gets busy they are hands on by making sure they have several cashiers to assist the customers and get them out! Love this about this location. This location shares a parking lot with Micheal's and it gets tight if you park out front. People are coming in from the main road and trying to turn in and people that are already parked are backing out so they can leave...well it causes some craziness. I would suggest parking in the back by Dick's and Home Depot to hopefully help. All in all it's a decent trader joe.

After breakfast I had the urge to grocery shop and ended up at a different location than the one I normally frequent. I was like parking lot chaos hmmm as I drove up and slid right into the first parking I saw hoping no one would box me in on the way out. It was busy but not crazy and some things were sold out but they checked in the back and eh- still sold out, but that was super nice. I saw unique strawberries and almost splurged but stuck to my list of ony frozen foods and water. The aisles were clean and stocked well. Only hashbrowns were sold out and the folks at the register had me laughing when my son called asking why I drove to Alaska instead of the TJ by our house. And then when leaving someone boxed me in (dang it) and i got distracted and I somehow lost my wallet but they had it. They all knew where it was like I felt like so super blessed and happy but they were funny and nice and reassuring and found it faster than I knew I lost it which is so honest and pure and I feel like even if that didn't happen I would have been given 5 stars because BABY! They have a whole lot more parking than what I thought they did. Like what was I thinking no parking chaos at all! Parking bliss and great people.

Friendly people and love the location. The food there is fresh and I like to get the yogurt and other random items

However, there is only one Trader Joe's in Queens so it is always super crowded and hard to park.

Now that's funny! But the mini eggplants were decrepit and turning fast, I bought some deep purple bigger ones for counter balance. One never knows the schedule of incoming, so outside shopping can be hit or miss. Yesterday was a miss, today likely will be a hit although I'm packed to the rafters at home now. Cauliflower, pears, carrots, celery, peppers, strung beans all for under a dollar and a half per pound, the market fluctuates as the product diminishes, giving itself back to nature in death and decay but you'll never encounter that stage on display. The smoked fish display is always my favorite stop, Chubs are $4.99 a pound and they last a goodly while in the fridge, so I bought my usual three. I LOVE that they're perched upon the top of the counter, not displayed behind the glass of a case. I feel more inclined to buy in this scenario, I see they're orange brown eyes and I wonder about their lives prior to landing here. Anyway, I accidentally parked illegally and no ticket was given making this Sunday shopping excursion a total success, minus the baby eggplant.

Fruit selection is not as varied as you would find in Flushing and I find berries are always pricier here - but if you're in a pinch, it'll do. I love their seafood section - we always get their branzino or sea bass and they do a great job deboning and cleaning it out for us so it's prepped and ready for cooking when we get home. Their freezer sections has your classic American frozen foods and also a myriad of Asian ice creams (like melons, mochi ice cream), frozen dim sums and baos, thinly sliced hot pot/bbq meat, and frozen Thai spring roll wrappers if you choose to make your own spring rolls. The refrigerated section have ready to cook Korean noodle dishes, ramen, and even seitan (for all the vegetarians out there!). Pure chaos…read more Mentally, emotionally, and even physically prepare yourself before you walk through these doors. I've only been to one other Aldi's (out of state) and that seemed to be more relaxed, organized, and clean, but this one seems to attract some of the worst shoppers I've ever encountered: shamelessly opening packages, knocking products down, destroying items, and misplacing them. I get it's a discount market and that this shopping center in particular pulls in most of Queens but it's reminiscent of Black Friday in the 2000s most of the time--at all hours. So many aggressive shoppers who are very likely ready to shove you. It is somewhat better during the weekdays and I always get most of what I need. Their meat and cheese selections are excellent and decently priced. I don't suggest getting anything brand-name because they definitely charge a little more than elsewhere but for everything else, you can tell when big labels make an off-brand version for Aldi. The staff is here and there at times and they are definitely understaffed, even during peak hours. I've seen them get frustrated with unaware shoppers, which is understandable. Don't make this your one-stop shop if you live in the area or have a market near you. Not worth the stress navigating through people and long lines at times.
