Chi does an AMAZING job at acrylic overlays. They do not have a huge gel selection so if you are trendy in the nail scene I recommend bringing your own. However their selection has all the basic colors you will need. As I stated before ONLY SEE CHI for acrylic she will not let you leave till you are happy and she doesn't a phenomenal job. I've had square nails, stilettos, and oval. Her shaping is great and she care about leaving your nails strong. Love her. And she is cheaper than the other lady. I have been to TONS of other nail places and she does the best. The only thing that sucks is that they do not give you free wine :-( BUT if you want fly acrylics go here!!!! read more

Review update: I have pink & white - gel isn't strong enough for my thin nails. They've had two price increases this year...from $40 for a fill to $45....now $50. Didn't say anything until finished and no signs to indicate. "Everything keep getting more expensive". I can't tell what's going on; maybe they want to get rid of me. I'd be curious what others are paying...getting ridiculous for a fill. The place up the street is still $30. read more

This place is...ok. Its on the other side of the Tollway in that new little strip center (across from the bunk dealership). First off...THEY DO NOT TAKE CC!!! Cash ONLY! However they do have an ATM in the back, but it irks me to use random ATM machines...especially in nail salons...um no. I went in yesterday for a quick mani before I go out of town and they were packed. Good sign I guess. I'd been here before for a pedi and I enjoyed. Their pedi chairs are amazing. They have 9 of them (random #). The girls that work there are sweet enough. But I was told it would be 10 minutes and ended up waiting 20...ugh. The manicure itself was fine. She was a little rough on my poor cuticles, but got the job done. I also got the paraffin, which was just delightful. However my hand massage (which I was SO looking forward to) lasted 5 seconds. :( Sidenote: When the technicians talk to each other, they are practically speaking in a whisper, but yet the girl they are talking too...who is coincidentally on the other side of the salon no less...heard her. WTF? I hardly heard you....Can someone please explain this phenomenon?!?!? Anyways....sat under the dryer for 10 minutes because of all the polish and "quick dry" and shine and blah blah blah she put on....and alas, on my way home totally ruined my thumb nail. I have been going here for many years. Yes, they only take cash, but the service is well worth it. Very clean pedi chairs, and the staff is very helpful. However, who you go to does make a difference. Ask for "Chi" or "V" (Chi is pronounced just like the Chi flat iron... and V is said just like we say the letter "v"). They are awesome! read more

First, the most important thing about this salon is that they only take cash. I went in for a pedicure on a Saturday around 2pm and they were pretty busy. I had to wait about 10 minutes. As soon as my manicurist started working on me, I noticed that she was rough. Her nails were too long and they kept digging in to the skin on the toes around the one she was working on. She actually CUT MY SKIN TWICE with the clippers! And when she was doing the pumice, she would look away and start scraping the upper part of my heel and that HURT. I only had the basic pedi and the massage was much longer than other places. Maybe she was trying to make up for the pain she had inflicted. She did a great job with the polish and got all the way down to the cuticle with it. All of the ladies working there were very nice, but I probably won't go back because of the cuts and scrapes I endured. read more

I'm a minor I came here with my family and we have been coming here since 4 years ago, honestly the workers are very sweet and I love how precise a worker named "Cindy" is she is very nice and there is another sweet worker too her name is "Jenny" she is very sweet with kids. I'm writing about these two workers because today the salon closed at 7 but they were considering that we had a trip so they thoughtfully stayed after 7 all the way to 9pm as sweet as all the workers and how good they are, the experience is always top notch. I went to Gloss first on a referral, was treated like a leper because I walked in on a Saturday - had to wait 10 minutes to even have someone tell me there would be a 2 hour wait (even though there were only 3 customers in there being worked on). I drove on up Lemmon and saw Charming Nails, decided to take a chance. Was greeted immediately by several beautiful smiling faces and was attended to instantly. Mani-pedi done concurrently by 2 friendly ladies, who did a very good job. The only caveat is that they don't take credit cards, only cash, but they do have an ATM inside the store. If you want an artsy nail job, Gloss may be your spot. But if you want to save money and not be treated with snobbery, go up the street. I'm glad I did. read more

After 10 years of going to see V I don't know what happened last month but they decided they didn't want to answer the telephone or they wanted to screen their calls and after making calls to the other Salon asking her to call me she never called me and then when I called in the other day to see if she still want to do my nails I had to talk to this other girl I don't know her name but as a matter fact in case you read this review Ms. Thang I want to remind you of something you said to me 10 years ago that I never forgot when I was overweight you said I was fat loudly so the whole damn place can hear me so don't think you're perfect and you could take whatever problem you got and live with the fact that you caused V to lose a good client and I won't be returning to Charming Nails anymore. read more

I went to this place. No customers so I walked right in, picked a color. Then was told this was cash only. I said I didn't have cash so they pointed to the ATM in corner that would cost me money to spend money in this establishment which sucks. So disappointing that this place has a cash only policy. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. The job done was very sloppy and rushed. I'll never go back. I still have pieces of dip underneath my nail polish that are causing the polish to chip. The nails that do not have remaining dip on them, still chipped regardless. Will most definitely not be back. read more

I just moved to Dallas from California, and was in desperate need of finding a new nail salon. I drive past the salon everyday on the way home from work, and decided to pop in one day for a mani and pedi. At first glance, the salon was very clean and well organized. The staff was very warm & welcoming, and in the heat of summer was offered some ice cold water or soda :) The spa/massage chairs were so comfy, and my favorite part about it was they had liners for the water basin which are changed for each customer (huge plus, i'm such a germaphobe!) Just remember to bring cash, and if you forget there is an ATM located in the salon. I went back the next day to get my eyebrows waxed, and am super happy with the results...fast and precise! read more

While I've been a client for many years, on more than one occasion I get rushed, and yesterday, forgotten completely, when new clients come in they leave one sitting. Worst nails shop ever! I schuled an appointment a week in advance for 2 pedicures one for me one for my mom. When we got there they made us wait 40 min. When we got to our chairs they had starting filling up the water with out cleaning it out from the previous person we had to ask them to clean it out. They rushed us through leaving out feet rough and even told us they didn't have time to paint a butterfly on our big toe. They just put a flower on my moms toe instead with out asking what she wanted. They charged is to use our debit card with out asking first. It was really disappointing because it was my moms birthday and I know anywhere else would of been 20times better. They only cared about getting people in and out and not the quality of work they did. read more
