She helped me unpack a lot of family things as well, which helped me in the long run on so many levels. She addressed all my needs with such care and empathy, and it gave me strength to keep doing the best I could. I was able to organize all my visits with her so easily online, and she was always available to me via email with any questions. Jane is a safe space for all people, and I grew so much in my time with her. Anyone would be lucky to receive her care.

First she wasted 15 min going over useless intros and Qs. She asked me the EXACT name and title of my insurance in Teladoc as an identity question. WTF. My birthday and name are enough. That's all my other therapists ask me for. Then she mocked me for seeing another therapist recently. Told me I couldn't see her again if I insisted on trying multiple therapists. Which shows how COMPLETELY ignorant she is of both therapy and how Teladoc works. In Teladoc you don't pick specific providers, you book an appointment with whoever is available. And as a patient I always have the right to shop around for the best care. Thanks for belittling me lady. Final insult to injury is how she cuts off sessions after 45 min when Teladoc sessions are always 1hr. So I barely spent 30 min with her total. But maybe it was for the best bec I couldn't wait to get out of there. She made my skin crawl and didn't listen to or address any of the issues I brought up. I'm glad Teladoc is free under my insurance bec I know that wasn't worth my money!

When I first started seeing him, I was trying to ween off an especially difficult to ween off antidepressant. Joseph helped me with lowering the dosages and scheduling follow ups until I was finally able to get off them entirely. A few months later when my depression crept back and began to severely affect and disrupt my day to day life, I reached back out to Dr. Joseph. He prescribed me an antidepressant that had a profound effect on my wellbeing. I don't always have the best experience with doctors. I feel that sometimes doctors lose their empathy or prescribe medication all willy-nilly to treat a symptom rather than the whole. Throughout my time with Dr. Joseph, I felt that he took the time to listen to my concerns, and cared about improving my quality of life. He was incredibly knowledgeable in his craft and vigilant in finding the perfect dose. He took the time to explain the cons and benefits of different medicines and why he believed this one was the right one for me. I don't believe I would be here today if I hadn't received this quality of care from him and his staff. Neuro Wellness Spa in general has been an amazing company to work with. They were quick to get me started during the onboarding process so that I could see someone as soon as possible. She is very insightful and able to quickly recognize patterns that impede growth. Jane comes to each session prepared. It is clear she has taken time after the previous session and before the current session to review her notes and to develop an agenda for the session. During the session, she takes copious notes. At the end of each session, she gives us assignments to work on until our next meeting. Also, our family tends to get a bit unruly at times. Although Jane has a very gentle spirit, she is able to wrangle us and keep us in line so that each of our meetings can be as productive as possible. She has worked with us as a group, but also worked with us for individual sessions. In our dealings with her, Jane has demonstrated competence over a wide range of mental health specializations. We really count ourselves lucky to have found her.

And things were only going down hill. Stress kills. I get it, our lives are just synonymous with stress. Work, life, family, health,... where's the balance in it all? I was on the road of self-destruction. Triggered by dealing with behaviors stemming from sociopath/psychopath and narcissistic disorders.... I was just DONE with my life... Jane helped me in taking a step back, assessing the whole situation and make amends for betterment for ME... I mean, if there is no ME... then there's really nothing left to worry about, is there? I had to learn to analyze the situation from an outer perspective, answer her curiosity about how I behaved in the moment, what was driving that, analyzing my responses, my feelings, my behavior... and slowly, I was able to understand myself more. I didnt need to hate myself for responding a certain way, I felt I was validated, I was justified in my response... and she took me on a journey to start to prioritize myself, and work towards my own goals, my own happiness (not in a selfish way)... but in a self-loving way. It had remarkable effects on my health. I'm actually able to say that my auto-immune disease is not out of control anymore. I'm controlling my symptoms bc I am healing myself emotionally and mentally. It has its effects physically too. It is only when I take care of myself, that I am better equipped to take care of my family and kids. Who wants to be around a depressed, self-loathing, low-energy, sad and always sick person any way?? The self-help I received with Jane's guidance is totally what it is called "Sustainable Therapy" bc I have changed my life around for the better. I am actually sustaining my happiness regardless of the chaos I live in. If I look at my life now, NOTHING around me had to change in order to gain this progress. It was mostly only changing/tweaking things that were in my control: my perspective, my mind, myself. That's it! We cannot change what we cannot control. So despite the chaos, uncertainties, distress that life throws at you, the goals is to attain peace amidst all the chaos. It is not some un-achievable goal. It can be achieved! You're at the right place! Just reach out to Jane... make that first step. Believe me, your future self will thank you!!! She understood deeply where I was coming from, not just at an emotional, mental level; but she helped me rekindle my spiritual connection. For which, I am so ever grateful. I feel like I have found the compass! I will never feel lost again... Thanks to Jane.

One of the most concerning moments was when he told me that my childhood trauma was my "perception." I shared that my mom would wake me up in the middle of the night to console her through panic attacks. I then asked him if a child being molested by a parent would also be "perception," and he said yes. He later clarified that perception doesn't mean it didn't happen--but using that word felt extremely invalidating. When I expressed that, he dismissively responded, "Okay, I just won't use that word if you don't like it." Throughout our sessions, he emphasized "self-control." When I shared that I believe control and self-control are often used to push away feelings, he immediately told me we could not work together. When I tried to explain my perspective, he shut down and refused to share his own thoughts. During that same session, he disengaged almost completely--remaining silent and appearing to stare me down. He said he didn't want to "argue," but I was simply expressing how I felt. Therapy should be a safe space to communicate openly, not one where a therapist withdraws when challenged. There was also a situation where my wife stormed out of last session because I didn't want to spend our 45 minute session going through a 50-page workbook. I preferred to do that outside of session time. Despite this, Dr. Robbins placed the blame entirely on me. And because I kept urging Dr. Robbins to look at the underlying root issues in our relationship, he acted very childishly by using that same approach in a crude way on me. My wife lost our family 500k by gambling it away in stocks and crypto. He asked how it made me feel and what trauma that was coming from. Obviously, it makes me feel like I don't matter, but I want to break the cycle of my childhood trauma where boundaries were not allowed, and I want to set boundaries with my wife. When Dr. Robbins heard that, he didn't care to respond, because his main goal was to one up me by using the root cause methods I was urging him to use. At another point, he asked, "Where do feelings come from?" I said the inner child, and he responded, "No, it comes from behavior." I am always talking to my son about feelings and emotions, and after the session I told him what Dr. Robbins said about feelings not coming from the inner child. My six-year-old son's immediate response was, "what the h*ll." Even my six-year old son is emotionally smarter than Dr. Robbins. I would not recommend working with Dr. Robbins because he uses his pain and his coping mechanisms to dictate the session. After ten sessions, we had no real improvement in our relationship.
