After his initial site visit, he was able to get detailed structural sketches to us in under 3 days. His findings included a summary of the settlement in the house, a summary of the structural design (beam length, length between pier pads, etc.), and recommendations for improvements to mitigate future settlement. I have since learned that one of my beams is actually in contact with the ground and misaligned with an adjacent beam. None of this was noted in the engineering report. Overall I'm extremely unsatisfied with this service. A critical (and costly) detail was missing from this report and I couldn't even get an answer as to whether or not he noticed it during his inspection. I called back to ask about this and still do not know whether or not that beam is supported by pier pads or by the ground with which it is in contact. I would expect at least that amount of detail in a structural engineering report.
