Long story short, I requested that all of the new connections be made in boxes that were accessible, such that if there is ever an issue, the connection points are easily discoverable and accessible. Despite the communication, the net result was that they left 2 hidden connections in the ceiling, and what's worse, they used 14 gauge wire on a 20 amp circuit. While communicating about the boxes etc, they were not honest on 2 different occasions; once where I had to push back for them to expose a connection that was hidden, and another time when I discovered the hidden connections they created in order to expose a connection in box. I had another electrician come out to fix the issues after I discovered the hidden connections and 14 gauge wire. Now, for what is worth, I don't know how much the issue stemmed from Rocky or the crew he had on the job. If they just did the structural work and the drywall, I'd easily give them 5 stars, but because of the unfortunate experience with their electrical work, I had to bring it down to 2 stars. If they just did electrical, I would have easily given then 1.

We had a near impossible to fix collapsed 15ft retaining wall. Our neighbor's garage below us had become the interim retaining wall. Other teams of individuals either ran for the hills when seeing the complexity of the problem or wanted to charge us truly obscene amounts of money. Dan Say (along with a phenomenal contractor and geotech) stood in our alley assessing the situation and saw this as a challenge meant to be solved. I caught a glimpse of magic happening that day as they brainstormed together how to accomplish the impossible (what we had been told multiple times before by others)-how to fix the wall without taking out the neighbor's garage. Beth Brown has been late with most paperwork, her proposal was double previous jobs and she didn't get all the information needed on her first site visit so she was going to charge me for another site visit unless I went out and took additional measurements for me. We paid in advance and are still waiting on her to get the engineering back to us so we can try and get our permit Poor communication, horrible attitudes and lack of taking responsibility for their work has caused delays to the homeowner that in my opinion would never happen when prior personnel were at this office I'll look elsewhere for my future engineering at SSF Tacoma and encourage others to as well
