My husband's truck broke down on the way to work one night. We were not close enough to our usual repair facility so had to be towed here at AAA's recommendation. Well, CSAI did not disappoint. Although it took overnight to get all the parts to complete the job, the truck has been running great and all is well. The pricing seemed very fair and the service was excellent. The shop is clean, as is the office and waiting area. Patricia even texted a couple of days later to make sure everything was as we expected. Took my Car over to CSAI after I started having issues with over heating. I originally went to dodge but they tried to tell me it was something wrong with my engine and that it was cost $1000 just to identify the problem. I instantly told them give me my car back. Got it towed to riverside. When my car arrived I received a call where I was greeted with some of the best and professional customer service. After I was sent pictures of all the identified problems with full descriptions and was asked would I like to proceed with repairs. Once I gave the OK I was called back 9 hours later saying my car was ready for pick up. Radiator replacement, a few sensors , oil change and filter replacement all done for under that 1000 dodge tried to charge me. When I arrived not only were all repairs done but my tires had been rotated and my car had been washed. 5 stars isn't enough for this service. read more

My Superheroes have done it again! My superheroes have done it again!!! Two days ago I was able to make an appointment for squeaky noise every time I braked. I thought it was very important that I have this checked out. I called to make an appointment to have my car serviced and Mr. Summers picked up the phone and took my request, it was prompt and professional. Later I called back and let them know that I wanted to visit their shop next week, however, Mrs. Summers contacted me and asked why? Of course, I explained. She indicated to me that the cost of inspecting my brakes would be free. I believed her response to me was because she cared about my safety and so I went to my initial appointment. I walked in and I spoke with the service advisor Miss Brittany who is an awesome awesome person very eager to help you and very professional in what she does and knows everything she needs to know about the business to give you prompt and absolutely satisfying service. She came to me and explained all that was problematic with my vehicle and proceeded to give me options on how I wanted to resolve my situation. Once I came to a conclusion on how I wanted to proceed, Miss Brittany immediately jumped into action to resolve my situation. I asked her could she have me out a little before 1 o'clock and she did just that, I was able to make my appointment on time. As for my vehicle it runs great they have an awesome team of mechanics that know exactly what they need to do. Some are trained and certified by Mr. Summers, the owner, you can't get any better than that. My superheroes, right on time when you need them. One star is way too high for this place. I hada Triple A battery in my vehicle. It died when I was in town around this place. I showed my warranty to tech, he tested the battery and concluded it was no good due to faulty cell. The triple A tech came out to where I was and gave me a print, jumped me and told me to drive to this place for replacement. So I drove the few miles to this place, having a bad feeling once I pulled up, I just left the car running so I could get out of there if needed. The lady at the desk asked me what I needed. I showed her the Triple A warranty and said the battery died on me, I had Triple A jump it, test it, and the tech said it needed to replaced and sent me here. She said, "We don't warranty Triple A batteries." Me: "So you don't warranty Triple A then why do you have a sign that says you have Triple A batteries and you are in the system as a Triple A battery place. If you don't sell or warranty them just let me know and I get them on the phone to have your business removed from their system." CSAI Lady: "Oh no, we do warranty batteries but without the tech print out." So I handed her the print out and the warranty. CSAI lady: "Well it says it right here, there is low voltage and it should be replaced." Me: "Yes I know, that is why I'm here." CSAI lady: " But I can't warranty it because the slip doesn't say it is a bad battery. The only way I can do it, is you have to pay us a hundred dollars to run a test on it, then we can determine it is bad. Is your car outside? Is it still running?" Me: "Yes its still running outside. I wanted to make sure this shop actually warrantied it before I tuned it off. And I don''t live here. Secondly why would I pay you a 100 bucks to tell me something I already know and something the Triple A tech already said." CSAI: "Well we can't tell you the battery is no good unless you have test run. And it takes about 2 to 3 hours." Me: "It takes 2 to 3 hours to test a battery? The tech did it 5 mins." CSAI: :"Yes. And because you had the tech test it, it voids any warranty with it. And because it says you didn't buy it from this shop, there is no warranty because its not our shop" Me: "I'm not going to pay you guys a 100 bucks, wait 3 hours just so you can tell me something that the read out from the Triple A roadside guy has already determined. You can just look at the cell on the battery and tell its not good." CSAI: "Well that is the only way we are going to do it, and its the only way we get our money back for the battery. And secondly, because you looked at it, it also voids the warranty on it." Me: " So I'm going to pay you 100 bucks, wait 3 hours when I can drive up the street to auto parts store, spend less than 100 and be on my in ten minutes?" CSAI: "I can't tell you what to do. That makes more sense to me. Why don't you go do that instead. You will save our time and your time that way." Me: "Okay. So what is this shops name and what is your name so I can pass this on to Triple A?" CSAI: "Well here is our business card. And I don't give me name out to non customers, especially white non customers." Me: "Gotcha. Well thank you anyways." Very rude, unprofessional, and sounds like they will try and con anyone out of money when ever they can. They don't warranty or support Triple A parts unless you pay them to test it. I don't even know how they are even supported by Triple A. There is currently a complaint it against them with Triple A. I feel sorry for the current customers. Who knows what they are actually doing to you all. They did this over a $90 battery. I can only imagine what they doing for some services there. read more

These guys Rock! The name may not sound like a repair shop but it is and the people here are great. Our SUV started puffing smoke out of the exhaust on our way from San Diego to Big Bear. We thought our vacation was ruined. However, AAA towed us to this location and we are so lucky that they did. It was my wife, daughter, myself and our 2 dogs. We also got there after they had closed, but they still took us. We rented a truck from Enterprise a few blocks away. We went back and transferred the luggage and everything from the SUV to the truck. While I did that, they gave my wife, daughter and 2 big dogs the run of the place. Everybody was super nice and while we entered the place a little stressed about our trip, their hospitality totally turned us around to the point that I am almost glad for the car problems just to have been able to meet these people. We continued on to Big Bear with the rental and were just a couple hours late. We stayed and played while they worked on our SUV. On the way back, we stopped back in to do the reverse and transfer the luggage from the rental to our SUV. While I transferred the luggage, Jonathan himself vacuumed out our rental to get rid of all the dog hairs. (Enterprise doesn't like you to have pets in the car, so we wanted to eliminate the evidence. :-) I tried to tip him and he wouldn't accept it. The young lady at the desk was awesome. She was so patient. All of their mechanics were great as well. They joked with us and really made us feel like we weren't in the way and imposing (when we were)! I told Jonathan and Patricia that we were coming back at Thanksgiving because they treated us like family. I should also mention that the work they did was superb and the cost was completely reasonable. I will tell you that it was certainly less than we would have paid here in San Diego. It's a shame they are so far away, because I'd like to use them for each of my cars. read more

I have been taking all of my vehicles to California Smog for years. No just for smogs, everything. Tires, alignments, transmission replacement, general maintenance. They can do it all, and the service is fantastic! I do personally recommend CSAI for all repairs and smog tests. read more

Always Excellent Service! I've gone to this shop for the last 4 years for my then 6 y/o Honda. I originally went to them for a smog check, because they were listed as a AAA smog station, but they are also a AAA certified repair shop, which is a designation of merit. From my first visit there, I was sold on their service and expertise. They take the time to explain your options, the costs involved, and do not use high-pressure tactics to increase repair costs to the max amount. I've referred several people to go there for automotive repairs, and they have all had great experiences, also. read more

A little less than 2 years ago while I was out of town, my wife's Jeep broke down. It was towed here because they were the closest AAA shop to where she broke down. She was charged almost $1000 to replace a water pump, thermostat and radiator. I had JUST replaced the water pump about a month prior (Im a mechanic). That was the first strike for me. Apparently AAA endorsed repairs have a warranty of 2 years or 24,000 miles. Whichever comes first. So almost 2 years to the date, the truck starts to leak. I replace the upper hose which seemed to be the problem. It continued to leak in the same area, which meant is was the radiator. I bring the truck down to the shop because its still under warranty. No need for me to pay for parts if they are under warranty right?? Makes sense. So I speak with Patricia who tells me they wont have time to look at it today. No problem. She asks my wife to sign the work order saying that the inspection would be $95. In case the problem they find was separate from the previous repairs. Also no problem. I get a call back in a little over an hour saying the upper hose wasn't very tight and that was the problem. Now I have inspected the vehicle myself, but didn't repair it because it was UNDER WARRANTY. So I drive down to the shop and ask the tech to pressure test the system and show me there is no leak. He does...and guess what?? Its leaking on the floor during the test!! In the process of showing the tech where the leak was located, I also explained to the shop that there was a slight leak from the water pump as well. Even went so far as to once again SHOW the mechanic where it was located. Strike 2. So they replace the radiator at no charge and tell me its all done. Patricia gives me a receipt which says I owe just under $300 for the repair. Ummmm how about NO!! A work order is a LEGAL and binding document. Had I signed that paper I would OWE for the warranty repair that was just performed. They didn't change the water pump because the tech couldn't "see" a leak where I pointed out earlier. After looking myself the residue had been wiped away (the mechanic swears he didn't do it). So Patricia fixes the paperwork (with an OBVIOUS attitude) and I drive away. Not even a few days later my wife takes her truck to get an oil change (they are cheap so I don't have to do them for her lol) and guess what?? The tech there tells her that her water pump is leaking!! She brings it home and now the pump is leaking on BOTH sides!! I called the shop and they NEVER RETURNED MY CALL!! STRIKE 3!! Save yourself a few bucks and take your business elsewhere. read more

I went here when the belt tensioner on my car broke. They had my car fixed and ready to go within a couple hours, and for a solid price. What I liked most about the place was the friendly atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and informative about what they were doing with my car. On top of that, the customer waiting area is top notch with comfortable couches, tv, and spots to charge your phone. read more

I took my car in for a smog and because my engine light was on the guy, who I believe is the owner, told me what would happen if he did my smog like that, which other locations would not have said anything. The owner explained everything to me and helped me get my smog done the right way. They did not try to take my money knowing it wouldn't have passed and being a woman, most men or other locations would have took advantage of that and took my money. I followed the man's simple advice and got my smog done quick. They are awesome!!! My girls and I also got to sit in the office and watch TV while it was being done. Very nice office. read more
