The new addition to the mural on the side of the main building is stunning (I loved seeing it get done!). They host events too, makers events, specialty dining in the gardens, gardening workshops. They served complimentary drinks, pizza (from Five Star, delish) and sweets. There was also free face paintings. I talked to several employees and met the owner Chad (and his daughter who was so sweet) on this visit. Of course like any business, Earthworks wants to make a sale. However, this business is different because they actually care about the community they serve! I've purchased plants and various other items for my yard. And anytime I had a question someone was always there to help! If you are looking to hire a landscaper to draft a project plan for a garden or pond and then execute the plan, you should consider hiring Earthworks! Or if you are just looking to spruce up your yard and pick up a few plants, pots and dirt you should stop by and check out their inventory.

They are a no nonsense company and obviously know what they are doing. Quality of sod is so much better than what the local hardware stores carry. Any plants that die on site, even if the store doesn't water properly or puts them in the wrong sun/not sun spot, any returns of dead plants equates to the grower not getting paid. This rubbed me the wrong way, when I heard it. I am going to be honest- I still end up buying plants from said stores, but I do pop into various nurseries and try to support their small business. Since I broke out of apartment jail- I have plans for the house! For the yard- don't ask me what those plans are.... it's a vague concept right now. But as the young lady asked me what I wanted- ha! I want jasmine- shows me various jasmine plants! Yippee. I am thinking of maybe putting a tree in the front yard- those are in the back. Ok- I'll walk back there, or hop in the convenient golf cart with my plant guide! Zoom~ we are rolling up and down aisles of trees! John was thinking live oak which I love, but then I saw they had weeping willows! WHAT!??!!! And a weeping bottle brush! I need to do research and ask the hoa before diving into a tree purchase! I was looking over azaleas, hibiscus, sod (I need some for my front yard) and various other plants! They even had blueberries! hmmmm. Generally speaking- my thumb is green. I ended up with Jasmine and Honeysuckle and had to lay both down in my car- because they both had trellis attached and were pretty big. John caught me when I got home! In my work dress, with 2 massive plants, one on each hip. I did change into jeans before digging into the earth! I can't wait to go back for more! March should bring more varieties of flowering plants- good tip to know! And peak season will bring Sunday hours (currently closed on Sundays)- aka, March- April! This place is HUGE and they are right there to greet you and assist with anything you want to look at!

(even Datil peppers which is hard to find!) They have all the supplies including pots and soil. The biggest praise I can give this business is their customer service. Going into a garden store can be intimidating when you don't know where to start, but the staff made everything very easy and even helped me load up my car with all of my goodies.

My wife came by this store a couple weeks back and bought some pots for our cute new family members, but she forgot the saucers for them. I came in today with the intent of buying the saucers and maybe getting a new plant. This place looks great. They have tons of good looking plants, herbs, and shrubs. But with all the feel good green vibes and pretty scenery it was strange how the customer service was so eh. Now, no one was a straight up jerk, but there was something missing. I thought maybe it was just me so I asked my wife after I got home and she had the same experience. She didn't say anything to me about it before. Anyhow, they have an assortment of plants, pots, saucers and supplies. Prices are not cheap compared to other locations I've visited around town. There are people there to ask questions to and check you out, but I found staff at competitors a bit more willing to talk and answer in sentences rather than one word replies.

The staff were so friendly and helpful! The bingo event was executed flawlessly, I was so amazed it was their first time hosting an event like that! The prizes were all gorgeous plants I would have picked out myself, and when two guests called bingo at the same time the staff graciously produced another plant of the same variety for the second winner. I missed the name of the woman calling numbers, but she was a great host and kept us laughing the whole time. After a competitive hour and a half of bingo, we were invited to shop the nursery at a 10% discount and ask any plant related questions we had. Matt, Mia, and Paul were all eager to share their knowledge, and I'll be back another day to meet Bailey, who was cited as knowledgeable about natives.

Thank you Matt for your assistance with scheduling installation and for the gentleman who assisted me. I was going to go to my usual home improvement store but was leaving Sam's Club and Googled to find a spot closer. Mulch Masters came up and indicated a 7-minute drive so off I went. It's not far off Atlantic Boulevard in an area that was new to me. It's mostly residential with a few businesses in between. I pulled in and noticed the shrubs and plants out front. I went inside the trailer and ordered one small bag of red mulch which cost $2.96. Service was friendly and fast. A gentleman told me to follow him outside and he placed the mulch in my car. The nice sales person inside advised me when I pulled it out not to get it on my cloths due to all the rain it was extra stinky. I much appreciated the tip;) I waited till late evening just before dark to put the mulch down. The mulch looked great! And it will help keep the moisture in the ground which should help my newly planted flowers flourish.
