Outstanding experience from start to finish. I got an immediate response from Joe Wingate. Came out the next day and discussed the scope of my request. I needed all the old ground cover and various plants removed before having the mulch installed. Joe knew the correct logistics for staging it. After he left I had an estimate in 20 minutes. A very fair price and a firm date a week out. They just did the job today and vastly exceeded my expectations. Great 3 man crew got this done in a day. All the debris from removal hauled away. Beautiful yard now. These guys are the best. Even though I was very happy when they first finished Joe wanted me to have more bark to cover to his standards! Mulch Masters came through for me this weekend. I recently purchased a townhome and planted flowers in the front. All the digging and planting covered up the existing mulch. I was going to go to my usual home improvement store but was leaving Sam's Club and Googled to find a spot closer. Mulch Masters came up and indicated a 7-minute drive so off I went. It's not far off Atlantic Boulevard in an area that was new to me. It's mostly residential with a few businesses in between. I pulled in and noticed the shrubs and plants out front. I went inside the trailer and ordered one small bag of red mulch which cost $2.96. Service was friendly and fast. A gentleman told me to follow him outside and he placed the mulch in my car. The nice sales person inside advised me when I pulled it out not to get it on my cloths due to all the rain it was extra stinky. I much appreciated the tip;) I waited till late evening just before dark to put the mulch down. The mulch looked great! And it will help keep the moisture in the ground which should help my newly planted flowers flourish. read more

I ordered a couple yards of mulch, and when the driver arrived, he backed his truck into my driveway and cracked my driveway in 6 places. He had 3/4 of the truck loaded with rock for another customer. I was livid. Called the store and was told it's not their responsibility. Owner was basically an ahole when I spoke to him. Businesses like this just suck. read more

I ordered a truckload of Mulch Master's #3 about 2 years ago for my 24' x 24' garden. Paid about $300 or so for it, thinking I was getting the best, complete soil out there for gardening. It was quite an investment for us but I was told I wouldn't have to add anything to it so we felt like it was worth it. I have planted in the soil several seasons with limited success. Couldn't figure out what was wrong. This year I learned that mix #3 is very woody which sucks the nitrogen out of the soil to finish the decomposing. So my plants grow but they are not healthy looking. i have added mushroom compost to it but don't feel like it's helping too much. I am very disappointed!! This stuff was supposed to be the best but it is not! Don't buy it!!! read more

HORRIBLE!! We contacted mulch masters last year to lay crushed shell in our yard- Tito became our point of contact. I explained we'd removed some grass but decided we wanted a professional to do the rest of the removal, grade the area as necessary and lay the product. We were assured all steps would be completed at a professional level. Tito shows up with the same exact weed killer we bought at Home Depot for $30 sprays our yard which at that point had many large patches of weeds/grass and proceeded to lay a skimpy layer of shell that same day...no leveling or grading. He tells us it will be ok because he will be back to spray and add more shell in no more than 2 weeks. There was grass and weeds sticking out of the shell the same day when he left the site, mind you we ordered 2"-3" depth. Tito then went completely radio silent for over a month, maybe more like two. No returned calls, texts, emails...nothing. Then he one day shows up in our yard, no warning, with the same pathetic pump sprayer. He tells us he and his crew all had Covid...for months and no one at this supposedly large operation could have gotten back to us at all or maintained the mess you dropped in our yard and ran!? At this point I had hand pulled and sprayed our shell no less than 5x myself. Tito then had the audacity repeatedly send us a bill without delivering the rest of the promised shell or ever returning to correct his mess again. We waited and waited and waited MONTHS for any action, until he told us he needed to close his end of year books and we paid in full to be done with his unbelievably poor work, lack of professionalism and criminal business ethics. We now have to hire someone to come clean up their mess, thanks mulch masters!! DO NOT USE TITO!!!!! read more

Very disappointed with this company. We've already had 3 loads (5yards) delivered at 265.00 (potting mix) Called today and minimum delivery is now 8 yards for over $400. If we only want 5 yards, the delivery fee is doubled. We enjoyed going and buying plants from them and the potting mix to re do our flower beds. They have lost our business and we won't be referring our friends to them anymore...... *** My husband called back and spoke to a guy who set us up for our original price. Overpriced on bags of paver base 5$ a bag! And all were wet inside! Lowe's has at 1/2 the price! And dry! they loaded bags in my SUV in a pile vs spreading bags, and damaged my trunk! I will never be going back! read more

I'd have to say the owner is basically a POS. I ordered mulch, but the driver showed up with a half load of rock for another customer as well. He backed into my driveway, with me not knowing he had tons of rock on the truck, and cracked my driveway in 6 places. Thousands of dollars worth of damage. He stated I signed the delivery ticket, so they are not responsible for any damage they do. What a crock. Driver was not smart enough to deliver the rock first, and with a POS owner, my driveway needs to be replaced. I hope he dies a horrible death. read more

I have now used MM 3 times. Very helpful, delivery on time with a heads up prior, mulch is excellent quality and as promised. Note that like most trucks - moving, Home Depot, etc. - their's are heavy. My neighbors have them dump in the street rather than back into a slab driveway. read more

It was easy to call and order my bales, but maybe these guys are not in the bales of pine straw business. Yeah, its mulch, but they were nice on the phone. They make you sign a waiver holding them harmless if they damage anything on your property, which to me shirks responsibility. Maybe its needed in their business, still never had Home Depot make me sign anything like it when they come to my house. My biggest issue was the day of delivery. The guy calls me at 1:40, says he will be out, once he loads the truck. 25 bales and an hour later he arrives. Its 13 miles and the map programs show 22 minutes of drive. Hey a little traffic here and there I get it. But why not call AFTER you load the items, not before? My time was just as valuable as his. Called the owners, after 45 minutes, their response - He's on his way, should be there any minute. Just the day earlier, I had another Landscape company call me when they were heading out from Phillips Hwy and they arrived in 20 minutes. Find someone local you know values your time and gives you a good value. read more

Always a good experience, been dealing with these guys for years. Maybe not the greeting your expecting when you enter office but everything after that is great. Felix is always smiling and upbeat with a great attitude. Pricing is good compared to big box stores and as far as deliveries I can't speak for that, I always haul my own. All around good people and good pricing and plenty of material for whatever your yard needs. We buy our mulch from Mulch Masters every year, for the last 6 years. They load the mulch into our truck and we take it home and spread. This is more cost effective than buying several bags of mulch from the home stores in our area. We have also purchased 5 crape myrtles from Mulch Masters the trees are healthy and very beautiful. read more

Good mulch, horrible customer care. Ordered 50 bags of mulch to be delivered Friday for a weekend project. Only 40 bags were delivered; several of those were ripped open, leaking contents, mixed with about a bushel basketful of rocks and wood pallet scraps with rusty nails in them, which I had to clean up. They could not send the missing 10 bags out on Saturday when I called. They finally showed up on Monday, carelessly dumping the missing 10 bags on my front lawn! So now this is needlessly a two-weekend project. I make a conscious effort to support locally-owned businesses but won't ever use this company again. I was very hesitant about whom I wanted to hire to lay river rock around my pool and perimeter of back yard. The space was about 1150 sq ft of rock needed a big job which I knew would require a lot of work. After having a rep come out and give me an estimate I also decided I wanted some drains put in. It was a 4 1/2 hour job with 4 guys. They didn't try and cut corners. It was done beautifully and I couldn't have asked for more. I called and was quoted a delivered price for mulch. I agreed, but while giving directions to the home, I was told it would be 10 dollars higher because I am about a half mile past the quoted line. Again, I agreed. I was told the mulch would be delivered the next morning. I stayed home until after 3 pm and no delivery or call. That evening I sent them a text, and someone sent me back a text stating that the mulch would be delivered to me at 11 am the following day. I waited all day and never heard from them. I guess they must be so wealthy, and have so much business that a 4 yard order isn't worth their time and effort. Well, they won't have to worry about me or anyone I talk to, bothering them again. I recommend that if you need mulch, find a company that tries to please their new customers. read more
