My friend and I drove over here specifically bc I wanted a Citrine and some Rainbow Fluorite and thought we would be able to find it in this shop. We arrived about 10 minutes before opening and the door was open so my friend tried to go inside but was rushed back out, this was off-putting to her so she waited in the car but I didn't want to waste the trip. I was recommended in this place by a friend. I went today for the first time with a couple questions. I mean, it was greeted by Stevie, who ended up being my savior for the day. The friend that referred me to this place had expressed them thinking that I was very much an empathic kind of energy of a person.( I think I said that correctly) He was making mention of my past week and how hard I've had trouble dealing with leveling out, and how with the world being so negatively filled and charged, that I've been just consuming and taking on way more than my body is accustomed too. When I walked into the shop and started to ask questions Of what I needed Stevie knew just what I was meaning. It was odd like I felt seen and understood by a complete stranger. She walked me around the shop and explained what she would suggest. Never did she say I need this or you need that. The whole thing felt like I was with a close friend who cared about my well being. I ended up getting some of the recommendations and I'm very excited to see how my space/energy changes. I'm so grateful for Steven, as when I walked in the selection of their gemstones and crystals and items was kind of overwhelming for someone that doesn't know or understanding a lot about this world. There were crystals of all kinds throughout the space all organized and labeled. They offered jewelry, incense, hair accessories. You name it they offered it. I was also surprised by the cost. I have always been told or thought having a crystal buying habit would be pricey. But I walked out with what I needed for under $40 Along with an amazing boost for my energy. I came in here not knowing what exactly this place was going to be. I've been to metaphysical shops before but this was the first I heard of this location and it's amazing! The selection and the staff are incredible! Everyone here was so freaking nice!!!! They were so approachable and friendly! When we first walked up they had a bunch of free gifts outside which I LOVED! And then when we got inside they had these cute little shopping trays that were perfect! Their candles and incense are crazy good, the divine universe, sky & thunder, and money tree are my favorite candles! You guys have to stop by if you're in the area for a shop like this. They have everything you can think off. Plus the parking was really good, I'm always hesitant to go to stores in shopping areas like this just because the parking is usually rough especially on the weekend but they had some really good parking!! I called Crystal Works this morning and gave my name, asking if they could restring my pentacle on a new cord because the old linen one that came with it was about to fall off from wear/tear. I did not buy my pentacle from Crystal Works but they said to come on by and they would take care of me. I took the bus over to 12th and Lamar and when I got there the shop keeper knew who I was by my issue and helped me restring my pentacle with some gorgeous purple cotton blend cord. I bought a decadent large bundle of sage and after checking out she used my name. She seriously remembered my name from the phone call! The woman helping me at Crystal Works was so helpful and knowledgeable and kind! She made all the difference. I will definitely be a return customer. *Warning - I have my hippie moments - this is one of them* So after taking a friend of ours to an oddities store he felt had bad juju we came here to find some sage. I'm longing for my Avalon/New Age store & for me to surround myself with pretty rocks. (shhh, I know I'm all about science, but I like pretty things & placebo affects). This definitely has some great stuff. I found a tumbled beautiful quartz rock & I got my husband a hematite ring. Love love love this place! The energy is amazing and the women that work there are too. I have bought so many stones and crystals from there. Started my journey at this place and even brought my daughter here. Their jewelry is amazingly priced and on the whole I would say not too expensive. I normally go here and Natures Treasures for my items. I do wish they carried more candles and ritual stuff, but I know this isn't their main focus. Which is okay :) I recommend going here if you are on a journey and really need guidance. Heck just take in the energy of the space and feel better. read more

Their jewelry is beautiful and well priced. They have your basic crystals. Nothing really unique or out of the ordinary. This used to be my favorite crystal store in town. That was until I saw a display where they are trying to pass Coppernite as Nuummite, at Greenland Nuummite prices. Nuummite has labradorescent flashes, while Coppernite has metal flecks. Buyer beware. What they're selling is worth half of what they're asking. read more

Obsessed with this crystal store! Great energy immediately when I came in. The employees are incredibly nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are very covid conscious and limit the number of people in the store. I had to wait 30 mins to go in but they text you when it's your turn! I love crystals. I'm a hippie like that, I guess. The smell in here is awesome, like incense!! My favorite part of this place is the necklaces they sell. A woman who works here makes them, and I really love them. I really do feel as if a crystal can change everything about how your energy affects you, and these necklaces make me feel some kind of way; each one is different and I love being able to switch it up based on what I'm going through at the time. If you're looking for a nice gift I highly recommend this place, a crystal is so thoughtful and they have really cute jewelry in general if the crystals on a string are not your thing. I just wish there was more information on what the different crystals mean on their loose crystal selections; I'm fascinated with that kind of thing, but I can do my own research which is fine. read more

From the pictures I figured this shop was going to be nice but actually getting inside you realize pictures don't do it justice. There's such a huge selection of loose crystals, jewelery, accessories, spiritual tools and so many other things. And both the employees in there were so helpful, knowledgeable, and sweet! So much selection in such a small place. My brother was looking for crystals that aid in healing and the employee (tenesha?) was super helpful. Be prepared to spend money because of how much there is to choose from. I got a crystal necklace with a chain extender and my brother brought home a nice selection of healing crystals. This store has a great selection of tumbled and raw stones, that are suited for reiki/healing/energy work. They had many of the less commonly available stones such as shungite, merlinite/purple gabbro, and malachite as well as lovely commoner things like quartzes (clear, smoky, rose, amethyst). Their tumbled stones are in a good generous size, unlike other stores in the area. Their stones are also beautiful specimens, both to the eye and when held. Their staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable about their stones. They have a small selection of metaphysical items--books, tarot and oracle cards, pendulums, herbs, incense, and essential oils. And lovely jewelry, both pagan and mundane. For the small space, they really do a good job of packing it in! I gave four stars because their prices can be higher than some other places. My advice is to get your basics at other cheaper stores, and things you can't find elsewhere here. read more

The lady with short curly red hair behind the cash register needs to work on her customer service skills; don't get me wrong she did have nice conversations and even joked with customers EXCEPT the 3 hispanics at the store. I don't know what her problem was but how are you working in a place that is all about keeping bad energies away yet YOU are the negativity by making people feel excluded. She kept looking at what we were looking at, constantly asking us if we were ready to check out rushing us but having all the time in the world for the white customers, and didn't acknowledge us at all when we were ready to pay we kept saying thank you have a nice day and she ignored us and kept talking to her coworkers instead. The only employee that was kind enough was the blonde girl at the front door offering us something to drink. I was really looking forward to visiting this shop. It's a little hard to find if that immediate area isn't on your regular route. I heard they had some statuary and was looking forward to those as well. Upon arrival I noticed that the store smells good and the energy is positive. I was surprised at how small the place is - its basically bedroom sized. It was overwhelming. The very narrow isle loops around a central jewelry counter. Every surface is covered with baskets and displays. It is eye candy for sure. FYI - This is really not a place for children. Although there were several exceptionally quiet and reserved children in the store while I was there - I would be aware that a tremendous amount of expensive items, and baskets of small items easily dumped, are low and accessible. I would not bring small or rambunctious children here! There are items specifically relating to Hinduism and Buddhism including charms, statuary, etc. There were also some cross items. (Not what I was looking for, but what they had was quite nice) There is no other deity represented - so if you are looking for another Pagan item go fish. (Yes, I did ask.) On that note the people were very nice. My questions were answered well. I spent around 45 minutes in the store. There are prismatic items hung in the window and many baskets of stones. They were both pretty and pricey. Some stones I already own that were similar in size and quality were a bit higher priced. I only saw a handful of bell items. They were all really lovely. The price was not clearly marked on any of them. I kind of love bells. The jewelry counter contains a great deal of lovely pieces. Many sport cards indicating that they are artisan pieces. If that's your thing then this is a place for you. There were other handmade items too. I do have to say that it is located in an upscale area and the prices reflect that. All the specimens appeared to be high quality. It is not as costly as commercial jewelers - but not really a typical rock shop either. It is more of a rock jewelry store with lots of shiny perfect specimens in baskets. There are a few items that are inexpensive - but I kind of had sticker shock and I noticed a lot of things did not have prices clearly marked. I guess if you have to ask you can not afford it. I picked up a few items which added up quickly. I am very happy with my purchase though - and would go back in a heartbeat now that I know what to expect. read more

I was walking around the plaza and just peeking in to see if something would interest me. The lady working rudely rushed me out of the door as if I had done something horribly wrong to tell me that there was a line. There was only a couple outside of the store so I didn't assume there was a line. She just handled the situation wrong and made a big deal out of something that I had no idea about. After she made sure to tell me in a condescending manner the time they were closing, which was still 30 minutes away. She didn't seem very customer friendly and handled the situation poorly it made me never wanna go back. read more

It's like a second home. The crystals are loved and cared for. They support local craftsmen and crafts women. The entire space is filled with love and truth and healing. They sell (and some shopkeepers make) wonderful jewelry that always fits perfectly. They have Earcuffs! They care about quality, and the price cares about your wallet (Daniel and Kathleen such blessings thank youuu!) The staff all have amazing personalities and it's so refreshing to chat with authentic people (ahem Susan) I love Crystal Works. I could literally go in depth about each and every wonderful individual that works here but that would really define how much time I spend here. I'm really bummed to write this because I usually love this store but I just had a bad experience. I haven't been to this shop in a long time due to COVID. I was in the area and was so excited to pop in. It seems as though they are implementing a protocol where you have to call them to get on a list to get in which I was not aware of. None of that was a problem. I completely understand. What I DID NOT appreciate was the way I was treated by the fellow who was outside monitoring the list. He greeted me with a smile and started to explain that "we have a pretty full list but I'm actually working people into it." I had no idea what he was talking about but used context clues to fill in the blanks. Just then, a group of ladies walked up and one of them seemed to know the man because he greeted her by name and then proceeded to completely bypass me to welcome the group into to the store. When he walked in to "show them something," I left. I didn't even want to go in after I was so clearly disregarded. He could have taken 30 more seconds to explain the process to me (who was there first) before addressing the people who just walked up. read more

I was really excited to go to this shop, I work at a school and one of my students recommended me. I went and some lady with tattoo's had the worst customer service, I asked if she could assist me with the rings because I do not like yelling in a store, because the store is pretty clustered/small, not too bad though. Anyway, I asked if she could help and she just gets a really nasty attitude and goes on to say "Can you wait, I am doing something", I continued to be nice and I told her "I am not in a rush, we can go at your convenience." I did enjoy the other two staff! They were nice. I am also a POC and that seems to be a pattern in her behavior, therefore maybe check her biases. read more

Hell, if someone told me to stick a roll of quarters up my ass and parade down Congress I'd do it...if it'd get me a baby. But Crystal Works was a very thorough store.
