I personally like water by the case, my mom is ol' skool and rarely throws things away. She still uses the old water dispenser that has been at her house for many moons. So boom, we keep the water stores in business, including this one. The guys working here are nice. They will help my mom load the water in her car. But, one guy is a jerk who would not do it claiming back issues. I understand, and it better be true! Given the fact that they're always busy, my mom never has a problem from another person reaching out to help her, or vice versa. I guess it pays dividends to be a sociable senior. Lol. For me, I'll do everything myself besides filling up my own water bottles which they don't allow inside. The outside self service water faucets seems slower and not as clean. Water is water, as long as there's no aftertaste I'm fine. Hopefully this place frequently changes their water filters... Otherwise we're only drinking the tap water from the city! I asked to install a water filter for my 2nd fridge in the garage. The installer said he couldn't do it. So I went back to the store the next day and asked for my $20 deposit back. All I ask was for the another 5 gallon and I will pay the $1 difference. This guy was so rude that I didn't want the 5 gallon and made me cuss at him. Some of bad reviews are true. They have bad customer service. It's the same guy that couldn't install my filter. I didn't want the cash back. You don't lose business for refunding me the 5 gallon. For 25 cents a gallon, drinking purified water can be neutral to the environment if you invest in a couple of blue gallon drum-dispensers. Sparklettes and other delivery services require long-term contracts. Recyclable bottles and disposable dispensers take up resources to recycle, so leave that out of the equation altogether and buy a $15 5-gallon drum. I recommend the kind with a dispensing spout at the bottom so you don't have to tip the heavy monster upside down and spill precious water all over the floor, Liz Lemon-style. This water store sells water containers from all sizes. Dumb-bell looking ones that sit at your desk, rectangular ones with a spout for the fridge (though dispensing it with the fridge door open will take all the cold air out), 3-gallon drums, 5-gallon drums - with or without a spout, porcelain dispenser, stands - all kinds to fit your water-drinking needs. Why didn't I just post a picture and save a hundred words? Well, my dear yelp-friend, the guy working inside was glaring at me and I for once was afraid to pull out my phone and get yelled at. The store itself is very tiny. Two walls and that's it. There are the hardware on one side (drums, stands, etc) and the water dispensing on the other wall. It doesn't exude super sparkling clean like some of the water stores on the west side does. They don't sell alkaline water either. You could get your water jugs filled inside the store by that guy or use the self-serve dispensers in the back. I opted for the latter. The machines dispenses 1, 2, 3 and 5 gallons at a time, for 25 cents each. There are 6 stages of filtration displayed at the machine... I only remember something about ion exchange, reverse osmosis removing most germs and unwanted minerals, something about a coconut carbon filter media (hmm!) and post-carbon block filters that removes odors and improves taste, UV sanitizer to disinfect and remove micro-organisms. I don't understand the science behind all these fancy words. As long as I don't get dysentery, that's all I care about. Would I come back? If I'm on this side of the SGV and happen to be getting boba next door, sure. Otherwise, I might just stick with the regular water machines outside of supermarkets. Same difference but they just look cleaner and you can tell when they last maintained it. With this, the display wasn't bright enough (being outdoor under an awning), and that guy... The water tastes A-OK. I don't have dysentery. read more

Don't even bother going in here. This review will be about our experience years ago and I will just have to review about it now. The machine took our quarters and we told the owner and he started yelling and raising his voice on us saying his machine gets inspected and why we have to tell him that it took our quarters. After that, we still went on and refill our gallon but when it was almost full, we saw something really big floating on the water and we told him again. He wen HYSTERICAL and I was completely in shock. I was with my dad at that time and he was sooo ready to punch him on the face. LOL. I am a consumer who paid for my shit and I deserve a CLEAN water. DO NOT SUPPORT HIM AND DON'T EVEN BOTHER GOING HERE. The man is rude plus the dirty water. If i could just put a negative star i would have done that. I went there to get water for my empty water container. I made the mistake of asking the guy there (not sure if that's the owner or not) a couple of questions regarding the filtration system. I think he felt offended that I questioned his water system and the quality of his water, and he started yelling at me for asking him too many questions. I told him that as a consumer I have every right to ask questions regarding the product. I got pissed off at him. So I grabbed the bottle, left the money, and left the store. I got so upset that i dumped the water on my plants when I got home. I knew that drinking the water would remind me of him, so I just trashed it. It's a shame I didn't get to try the water because the other reviews were positive. So my recommendation is: get the water, leave the money, and don't ask anybody any question in the store. read more
