Today was an unsavory experience in the only salon I like in this city. Mind you I brought in a very simple inspo pic of what I wanted.. a base solid color with a clear based glitter ombré. I picked a regular polish off the wall as my base color. Showed my inspo pic and was told can be done. Everything is going fine until it comes time to put the glitter ombré. I was maybe 10min from being done. When it comes time to put the glitter ombré on I get told they can't put gel over regular polish. Okay, understood. I tried to reason and find a solution to the issue... like finding the glitter in a regular polish or sit and have them put gel on my toes after I was already polished. I spoke to my tech (who was shaking the whole time and yanking my legs and feet around) and he assured me that just needed to wait for the polish to dry to get the gel on my toes. Then another tech comes over and tells me it can't be done. All the while the manager was standing and listening to my issue and compromising with the techs and did NOT intervene to find out what was wrong. I didn't want to sit any longer for anything they wanted to do bc I didn't get what I wanted done to my toes. I went to pay and the manager showed no concern about being unhappy with my toes being half done and not what I wanted... he said NOTHING! On to the next issue, I took my daughter with me. I'm trying to explain what she wanted.. again a very simple design with an inspo pic shown.. base color and a paw print design on the toes.. she was burned by the water after being asked if it was too hot. I had to ask for the paw prints to be done 4x before someone came over to her and did the design. The irritation of the techs when working on kids is absolutely rude. The salon offers kid services, they are customers too.. treat them as such. As a paying customer, I should get exactly what I ask for and if not, at least compromise with me before my service evens starts. read more

I have been to hundreds of nail salons in my life and this is by far the worst nail salon I've ever been too. My nails were absolutely awful and I had to go the same day to them redone at a different salon because they were too bad to look at. Its ok all depends on the pedicure tech. Had some good and some terrible. The pedicure chairs need replacing. The backs are worn out and the massage functions do not always work depending on the chair. Water temp varies like the techs. Very hot or tepid at best. Overall it's ok but not great. Prices range from Basic $35 to $60 for the "jelly" More $ = more massage time not necessarily a better pedicure. read more

Left the salon without any nails! I went to have my nails removed and get new ones put on. I arrived at 5:20 and thought over an hour and a half would be plenty of time to have this done. They were a little busy but I was very patient and waited to be seated. When I was seated they had me scrub my nails in acetone (which is what I normally do). 30 minutes goes by and I am still soaking my nails. An hour and a half later and I am STILL SOAKING MY NAILS IN ACETONE! I finally had a lady come check on my nails at 7:00 and I still had quite a bit of nail remaining. Long story short, I soaked my hands in acetone for an hour and a half, was told they did not have the time to do my nails, and left the salon with very brittle, thin nails and super dry skin. First time to use this salon. Although it's only 10 miles from my home I always find myself going to the Heritage Trace/ Alliance area. This was much more convenient. They took me very late in the day & I did not realize it was almost closing time. Very clean, organized & friendly. Silva did my nails & what a fantastic job! Everyone was so nice & offered me water or something to drink on more than one occasion. Although they were clearly closing, they never rushed me or the beautiful job they did on my nails. Cost is right on the money of other salons I have used or a tad bit less. read more

Kaian moved to Skyline Nails & Spa!! I wanted to make my next appointment, because I absolutely adore Kaian as my pedicure technician! She's very sweet and always does the best job ever. She goes above and beyond!!! I had to ask around and I found out she has left Crystal and went to Skyline Nails & Spa! It's literally across the street. So I booked an appointment at Skyline with Kaian, and I must say, Skyline is x10000 better in cleanliness and customer service. I noticed the difference in both nail salons. - Crystal never seems to have enough variety of colors to choose from and the bottle is always near empty. I don't understand why they don't ever get new ones. - When I had other technicians at Crystal before Kaian, I always felt like they were rushing to finish so they can get another customer, which ends up leaving me feel cheated and not good work done at all. Kaian always made sure I never felt this way and that's why I love her. And she gives the best foot massages!! Definitely go see Kaian at Skyline!!! read more

She helped me figure out how to get my nails to look like the picture even though they didn't have the same color and she made them look sooo good! I will definitely be going back there to see her! I'm a girl who has a nasty habit of biting my nails. I'm very aware and self-conscious about how short my nail beds are (they're not the prettiest in the world). Having acrylics, gel nails, or any kind of fake nail helps me build confidence and keep my teeth away from my real nails. So after a couple of months of biting away at my beds, I'd decided it was time to build my confidence and charge on into a nail salon. I was mortified. Through the process my fingers started bleeding and burning extremely bad (I understand the burning was because of the biting). I'd never had a nail artist be so rough to someone with delicate nail beds. She was not sensitive with her tools and rushed through most of the process. If not all of it. When she was done with my nails she hadn't said a word to me. She just packed up her white and orange "tool box" and left. I knew my nails weren't done and I had no idea where to go (since it was busy and my nails were completely wet still). I was directed by another women about 5-10 minutes later to go sit underneath the black lights. From about 20 feet away my nails look good. But the more up close you get, the more cracked, dry, uneven and sloppy they look. I came here looking for confidence. I wanted to feel proud and sexy when I was out with my boyfriend, with my friends, or even out and about. Now I feel like a tacky pink pig with flaky weird hands. I don't feel sexy. If anything I feel more self-conscious about my fake nails than my tore up little nail beds. I don't recommend throwing your money away. read more

He rushes, doesn't care about quality, cuts people, doesn't listen to what customers want, gets annoyed when customer doesn't comply. He honestly needs to be fired. When coming here my nails were horrible! I had been to another place in town and they did a crappy job. I got a fill with gel and they look and feel so good! Tommy did my nails (highly recommend him) and took his time fixing and painting them. Don't waste your money at the other places because you'll just end up here getting them fixed this is my new favorite place ! I had gotten a manicure on vacation in Chicago about 3 weeks ago and came here for an ombré color change. I wanted a nude ombré instead of typical pink and white. Coco tried convincing me to stay with pink but I told her I wanted to try nude this time. She applied it on an extra nail to show me first and then moved to my actual nail. The brown would overpower the white so much that it was 3/4 brown and very little white. I finally agreed to going back to pink -- so now it would be charged as a fill in. I was desperate to find ANY available appt post quarantine and took a chance on this place. I had a Pedicure ($82 with gel.polish), and a $25 nail fill. I definitely did not get an $87 pedicure and the nail fill was hurried and not done well. I was there for almost 3 hours! The nail gel was still tacky when I left and I told the technician this. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Most of you would too had you witnessed what i did. A woman and her daughter came in while i was waiting for my wife. The young girl wanted her nails done so her mother treated her. While she was getting her nails worked on , the person working on her noticed a band the girl was wearing. The girl explained that the band was in honor of her father who was deployed in the military. This is when things got ugly. The worker became belligerent and chastised the girl to the point it made her cry. The mother became involved and got the same treatment. The worker told them that the US military were oppressing her people and that they hated the military and its leaders. I have no idea where these people came from but I do know that our military troops are not oppressing anyone. These people who have a husband/father serving our country deserve respect, not ridicule, especially when they are paying good money to a local business for services. read more

One of the worst pedicures I've ever had. The nail polish was applied so unevenly, and much of the nail polish had air bubbles which means it dried bumpy instead of smooth on my nail. The lady who helped with my nails was so unfriendly and rushed my pedicure. I would recommend that you not come here. read more

Ordered the jelly pedicure, The technician was lazy from beginning to end. She did not get all of the rough skin off. She did not take care of my cuticles. Once my feet were In the bags of paraffin, and my legs were wrapped with the warm towels she proceeds to set a timer. I ask what the timer was for she said it's for the massage. I thought OK ... 15 minutes later the timer went off. I Asked how long my massage was supposed to be for she said 20 minutes. I said that was a 15 minute timer you still had to takeoff the paraffin wax and the towels off my legs. When her manager walked by she proceeds to tell him in their language what was going on and I jumped in and ask for them to please speak in English. I explain to him what happened he instructed her to slap some oil on and give me a better massage which she did.. I go to the counter to pay and the older gentleman with long hair checked me out and I asked if I had any points. He told me he added him and I asked how did he do that when he didn't ask for my phone number. Needless to say he didn't and I had him at it but he was just as lazy as she was. I asked what my technicians name was and he said Silva. ‍ I get home and my feet are almost as rough as they were when I went in but my nail polish looks good. $82 bucks later I think I will go somewhere else next time. read more

I have gone to this nail spa for almost 5 years for lashes, pedicures, and most recently, gel for my nails. Due to recent wrist surgery, I've not received massages, only gel. Today I learned that for the past several sessions I've been UNDERcharged by $5.00. The man was so rude to me and embarrassed me in front of other customers all over $5.00! He then went on to give the sloppiest gel treatment that I've ever had. My nails are lumpy and I have color on the skin of my fingertips. I wish I could post a picture on this page of my manicure and pedicure or that cost me $73 but they would not want that. They were very quick to take down my post on their page although the reviews still up because they cannot delete that. The deluxe manicure does not consist of doing anything with one's cuticles other than putting polish over them and at the massage consists of putting lotion on your arms and hand, that's it. I spent just as much time putting lotion on my arms after getting out of the shower. It took me two hours before I was seen and done and now I'm going to have to go to the metroplex and have this crap taken off and spend another $70 to get a new manicure and pedicure from somebody who actually gives a crap and takes pride in their work. But after I complained, I got a five dollar off coupon which the only positive thing will be it is in the recycling bin because I will never darken their doors again. Prices here are way higher than in the metroplex. I came to this location because I was in town visiting my in-laws and had a gift card. They did a great job and they are very friendly. However, they did not use clean tools. All of their tools were covered in nail file dust and paint. They didn't open up any clean boxes or bags when switching to the next customer. They used the same clippers, files, towel, sponge thing, etc with the girl next to me to the next. I would definitely ask for clean materials/tools before they start. The wait time wasn't bad. Their facility is not as large as most salons. For manicures, they only had 6 stations. I know I won't be returning, but for those in the area, if they just update their hygiene you're in the green!
