    Culligan Water Conditioning

    Culligan Water Conditioning

I don't typically write reviews -- mostly because I don't have the time, and rarely feel strongly…read moreenough about an experience to do so. But this situation absolutely warrants it. If you are considering Culligan Water, I strongly urge you to reconsider. My husband and I both work full-time and, like most people, value our time off. We are currently 20 weeks pregnant and wanted to address our hard water issues before our baby arrives. We understood this would be a significant investment and have spent years saving what most middle-class families would consider a large amount of money to fix this issue. From the very beginning, our experience was frustrating. When we first called, the receptionist struggled to locate our address, which extended the call unnecessarily. While not a major issue on its own, it set the tone. Things quickly went downhill after that. We were contacted by the water specialist, Diane, to confirm our appointment. At the time, I was checking out at a store and handed the phone to my husband. Diane was immediately rude to him, questioning why I had passed the phone and cutting him off when he tried to explain. She then informed us -- immediately after we had just scheduled -- that she needed to reschedule due to her own doctor's appointment. While we tried to be understanding, it raised concerns about internal organization. We rescheduled for March 25 between 10:00-10:30 AM. The day before the appointment, Diane called again asking for directions -- something we had already explained to the company. During this call, she stated, "If I can't figure out where you live, I'm not going to waste my time coming out there," which was incredibly unprofessional. I confirmed the appointment time again, and she reiterated the 10:00-10:30 AM window. The following morning, we were woken up by aggressive knocking at our door. It was 9:08 AM -- nearly an hour before the scheduled appointment. When I answered the door, still in pajamas, Diane insisted multiple times that I was wrong and that the appointment was at 9:00 AM. I showed her the official confirmation email from Culligan stating the correct time, yet she continued to argue and instead referenced her personal phone calendar as proof. At no point did she acknowledge her mistake or apologize. During this interaction, I became physically ill due to my pregnancy. While I was in the bathroom, Diane commented to my husband that it "made sense" why I was "grouchy." This was not only inappropriate but completely unacceptable. She then escalated the situation further by calling her General Manager and putting my husband on the spot to voice a complaint -- something we never asked for. She even misrepresented the situation to the manager, attempting to blame the receptionist instead of taking responsibility herself. To make matters worse, after all of this, we were quoted between $12,000 and $24,100 for a system -- for a 700 sq. ft. home with one small bathroom. We were provided no written quote, no documentation, and no water test results -- only a verbal estimate. When I later contacted the company to request our water test results, my request was routed back to Diane, who told us that any communication had to go directly through her. After everything that had already happened, this was incredibly frustrating and inappropriate. This entire experience -- from start to finish -- was unprofessional, disorganized, and frankly disrespectful. We went into this process prepared to make a serious investment in our home and were met with poor communication, lack of accountability, and unacceptable behavior. I rarely say this, but I would strongly advise others not to waste their time with this company.

These people are the worst. Going all the way back to when they first installed this system,…read morethey've been nothing but problems and bad attitudes. There's a little valve at the inlet to the system. It has seeped water since the day they installed this about 10 years ago. Their only solution was to mail me a part and expect me to repair their faulty installation. That valve seeps water to this day. I wanted them to do a bacteria test on the water coming into the system. I paid them to come out and take a sample. The guy showed up and insisted on taking the sample downstream of the system, when the whole point of he visit was to check it up stream of the system, before it came into the house. Then, even though the test wasn't what I wanted, I never did get any results. I called repeatedly about it. They would never let me talk to the owner, Everett. They always said I had to talk to someone else (who was never there) and would never call back. If you visit their website, it has an email address for contact. I have sent multiple emails to that address never a response. The only positive review they have, if not a shill review, was apparently written by a guy for whom something as simple as swapping out a clogged filter was equivalent to the Manhattan Project. Their office staff, Nicole in particular, has the worst customer service attitude I ever encountered. Don't like what they're getting from them? The office women make it very clear they could not care less. I will NEVER do any more business with these people.

With that in mind here is my review. I'm in the process of moving and have set up to close out my account and have my dispenser and remaining bottles picked up on July 7th. I logged in a few days ago and the date it states for pick up is not the date I set for pickup. FYI the date says July 4th, that's right a holiday! I figured that it was a typo because I set pick up to be July 7th, which is the day I have had set for my regular bi-weekly deliveries. I logged in the next day which was July 5th and the date showing for pick up was now July 5th. So I tried calling but they were closed for the July 4th holiday. Here it is the 6th of July and I logged in again and guess what date is showing for pick up . . . yup July 6th! As I am writing this review I have been on the phone ON HOLD for over an hour waiting to talk to customer service. I've noticed that other reviews have given poor ratings due to this company's customer service. I have to admit another issue I have had with this company is I have called several times(I believe 3 total times) and requested to have only empties replaced and to not just keep delivering full bottles with no empties out to replace them. I'm just one person and I now have six 5 gallon water bottles which is way more than I need in a two week period! FYI still on hold. Also I want to say that I have tried several different numbers to try and get a customer service rep but they all end up in the same automated cue. This is ridiculous!

I've spent hours on the phone with crystal rock in hundreds of attempts to get water delivered. That last delivery we received was late may and haven't received any delivery for the month of June or July. Our well water isn't safe to drink only to bathe in, my family of 5 depends on this water. We watch the truck pass by our house but never stops..... What services am I actually paying for? Lies? I can go on forever with how many times the ball was dropped. Website is always down, no-one ever answers the phone, cant deliver water. I will never use your services again. Shame on me for giving your prolapse anus of a company another minute of my time. Die in a fire.

They were able to send someone out the next morning even supplying a time frame of when to expect them. I met Dlyan and I was able to explain what we thought was the issue. After listening, he worked very hard to restore our water. However, it was beyond what he could do on his own. He was thorough and explained all the possible solutions. Dylan then took it upon himself to call the office and see how quickly we could get on the schedule. We were able to get it scheduled quickly, and Dlyan came back with Austin to repair my water line from the well to the house. Everything was explained and what was involved in the replacement of the water line. They were even able to move a tree out of the way to be replanted when the job was done. I really appreciated the effort to save my tree. After working all afternoon, past dinner and into the evening they restored our water! I can't thank Dlyan and Austin enough for all the constant problem solving and keeping me updated. We were very thankful to have water again. They kept their promise and returned on the next business day to finishing backfilling the trench for the water line. Plus, they replanted me tree. I would highly recommend Dlyan and Austin with Amber Water Pros.
