The complaints against Crystal Rock are quite concerning actually, and CR does not have Spring water currently, only filtered. The lab TDS indicates ~300 and pH 8.1 (alkaline) however the Spring Water I have here appears to test at about 230 (calibrated) TDS which is not typical for e.g. Colorado mountain spring, but perhaps a mineral spring, perhaps as expected in the Northeast. Lower TDS values do not imply quality for Spring water as they do with purified water. The rest of the lab results are more important than TDS of course, for many reasons. Still evaluating and requesting more information on spring source but am quite happy so far. Rental coolers can be top or bottom mounted and heat water as well if switched on. At a reasonable $39/mo total for four 5-gal drums delivered including dispenser rental, I'm drinking far more high-quality water and avoiding copious amounts of chlorine or the Brita routine, despite formerly trying all the water bottles and hydration hacks known to man. I would not suggest attempting to use the website for contact since I tried that, didn't hear back for more than a week and finally called. The Good: The service is reasonably priced. The cooler apparatus is 10.95 a month and bottles are 6.95 each with an $8 deposit each that just stays in circulation as you get your 3 week deliveries. I was told that 3 is probably good but you can adjust as you adapt to the service. The ladies on the phone were great and helpful. The delivery/installations guy was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Super nice. The water tastes great. Really clean and refreshing. The cold side is nice and cold and the hot side can make tea. If you're someone who buys bottles and jugs of water you should really consider a water service, it's about the same price as all your bottles and less hassle to you since there are no more trips to the store lugging 1 and 3 gallon containers around or buying hordes of individual bottles. The plastic bottles for the water service are 5 gallons, easy enough for a 5'3" wimpy girl to lift and are reused by the company rather than recycled or thrown out. Reuse is way better than recycle economically and for the environment. Be a Planeteer. ;) I should note that if you are pickier about your water container Mountain Spring also has glass bottles. These are of course heavier, and more expensive. So if you're a rich ripped yuppie, you can enjoy this service.

We found this company who has an offer to get your water free for a month, to try their water out. The advantage, besides the economics, is that this water is Reverse Osmosis, equivalent to the system you'd install in your house for $3000-$4000, which I plan on doing some day. Also, they offered to buy a cooler from them, Made in Canada, and after my research, with a better warranty than a Made in China cooler made elsewhere. I ended up ordering a different, more esthetically-pleasing one from them, made by the same Canadian company, and, while we're waiting for it, the company provided us with a loaner cooler, again, just to try their water. Also, they don't have contracts, you just have to call them one day ahead to get your 3 bottles delivered and the old 3 picked up. Easy peasy. So far so good. The water tastes "different", especially if you're not used to clean water. It tastes distilled to me, but then that's probably what RO does. Either way, it tastes good and I know my family and I drink clean water.
