This shop is HUGE!!! It was so cool to look through everything during our visit to the city. They have so many unique shapes. I bought a rose quartz shaped like a pig, which I would almost never find at my normal shops. The only improvement I have overall is the staff although friendly, weren't very attentive. It seemed like all of them were going lives to push online sales, fair enough, but it's just a bad look to in store costumers. I would go here again but I live out of state so not likely . read more

Ahhh, this shop has been a happy place of mine for about 7 or 8 years. Nestled in a corner of the 5th Avenue Shops, you walk into a glimmering, colorful room full of possibility, wonder, and many, many rocks. The layout has changed just a bit over the years: It used to be like walking through a cool, labyrinthine attic full of treasures, and recently, the set-up is a bit more crammed; Kind of like a hoarder's house... in a good way, you know? Cause they're hoarding GEMSTONES. They usually have a great variety, better than any other place I've been in Pittsburgh. The head guy, (usually immersed in what I can only assume is gem research and acquirement) is very knowledgable. I've brought in gems and jewelry I bought elsewhere, and he'd been able to identify the stones. Personally, I love this little shop, and I've been known to go in for a bit of a mood boost. I can't go in without getting sucked into a time-void: I always spend at least 40 minutes in here! read more

I used to shop here on a regular basis. A friend of mine stopped shopping here because she had trouble, on a regular basis, with them not sending her the correct things she ordered. Though they eventually refunded her, they never admitted their mistakes to her. Still, they have wholesale crystals so why not? But today, I went shopping and I couldn't find my cart, let alone the button for checking out. I am totally blind, I use a screen reader, and I have given them feedback before about their website not being fully accessible. Today I find that the website is worse than ever. I guess they just don't want blind and visually impaired customers any more. That's their loss. read more

I ordered online from here and they were just amazing! I made a personal note to please label the rocks and they did- even put them in little baggies. The prices were extremely reasonable. Only thing that was kind of annoying was the shipping being $10 :( I would've ordered more but the shipping got me. Everything was incredible quality and honestly the price I paid was worth it. Now that I have my items in person I think it'll be easier for me to overlook that shipping cost next time. If I am ever in Pittsburgh, I will definitely make a trip to their shop! read more

Very Disappointed. I ordered on line.. they make it sound like you are getting a pound of any particular rock. But when it arrived, It was only 1 of each type of stone! Very misleading! The stones that they sent were terrible quality ! They were chipped, cracked & faded. So I figured I'd give them another try because my friend asked me To go w her. In person was a terrible experience! When we asked what stones to use in manifesting spells and crystal grids we got laughed at! I was hoping to get some gemstones to help my ailing mother who suffers from arthritis, and again we were treated rudely and told they had no idea and that they sell them just as gemstones w no metaphysical attributes. I've only bought from them online, but my experience was great! Everything came much faster than expected, and it was packed with a lot of care and attention. I bought a wide range of items, from raw stone bulk packages to premade pendants, and I was overall very impressed by the quality for the price. The bulk stones were a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and color variation where appropriate. Overall the most hit-or-miss thing was probably the agate. I ordered 9 small ones with drilled holes and two larger ones with plates edges and double connectors. A couple of the smaller pieces were completely beautiful, whereas others had virtually no variation in color or transparency. Unfortunately one of the bigger ones I bought was the low-variation type, and also had some major pitting. Overall, though, the items were great! With the large number of items I bought and the relatively low prices compared to other retailers available online, a few less-beautiful stones are totally acceptable, and nothing was damaged or incorrect at all. This review is long overdue, but the phenomenal customer service after all this time has not been forgotten!! I once made a large purchase and received notification that my order had been delivered. However, my package never quite made it to my hands. I contacted CRG via email to find out how they shipped the package (box or envelope) to try and narrow the possibilities as to what could have happened to the package, and eventually concluded that it must have been stolen. CRG was easy to work with and I was not expecting them to send out another order, but they did and I did not have to re-purchase any of my items. I received the new package within a few days and couldn't have been more happy to have purchased from a company who is loyal to their customers. read more

I placed an order February 22nd. Understanding that the mail causes packages to be delayed waited for the package outside of the 5 to 7 day time frame. when I last tracked Package it was supposed to be coming to Alabama buy the last known record was California. not sure why it was in California if it was coming from Pittsburgh. the package at this point doesn't even give am n arrival time, for the past 2 weeks it just says "arriving late". When I spoke to USPS they explained that its well within the time frame for the merchant to replace the package because the merchant insured it. when I called to try to get a replacement package the merchant told me "just so you know it says its coming, just arriving late." when I asked to speak to the manager he refused to replace package initially and said "the money is coming out of his pocket " and tried to play the blame game instead of giving me a refund or replacing the package. keeping in mind I have done business with them (of course not anymore) for over a year with my business. I have also lost money because I have no merchandise and some customers had already paid for the jewelry I ordered that never arrived. he eventually said he can send out another package within 2 days if they 1st package still says the same thing. which I said was unacceptable because its already been almost 30 days and didn't understand waiting 2 more days. my issue clearly was brushed under the rug because he didn't want to "lose any profit". not caring that I have also lost profit that I paid him and still have no merchandise and no one wanting to take responsibility for it. he said that he would send me the tracking number for the 2nd package he finally agreed to send out. but he actually never send the tracking number or second email like he agreed to via the phone call we had Tuesday. its now Thursday March 18th and still no tracking number or refund. the merchandise is decent ...but definitely not worth the hassle if your merchandise gets lost. the business is clearly all about profit and not taking care of the customers. read more

I ordered online. The description of what you will recieved is very misleading. I thought I was ordering groups of 4 and bulk lots due to the photo. Plus one choice for color is general mix. It's been a bit since I purchased their Bulk Tumbled Gemstones but the lack of quality and their "no refund on bulk tumbled gemstones" policy stated on the receipt, finally lead me to this review. My order was close to $300 and at least half of the stones I received are absolutely not reusable and chipped or have a low polish quality. I'm not able to use them for what they were intended for and lost my $$$. I wish I could add photos. read more

Although this store by far has the largest variety in selections that I've ever seen, there is absolutely no system in pricing. Employees are constantly running around double-checking prices (making the check out process way longer than it needs to be) and making the prices up as they go.
