I've been coming here for the past year and a half. I come every 2-4 weeks depending on when I feel it's time for a pedicure or new gel nail color. I see the same people every time by request and appointment. They always see me on time and I have never had an issue. They always call back if there has been a confusion on booking the appointment, which I appreciate so that I don't get there and wait to be seen. The salon is always clean and never harsh odors. I love that they use plastic linings for pedicures and the variety in colors they offer! All ladies there have always been very nice and welcoming. read more

Very disorganized. These ladies are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. Telling walkins they can take them even though they have appointments coming soon after. I watched as 2 workers literally ran around trying to keep people from leaving once they realized the workers were double booked. I personally had 3 completely different workers attempt to start my pedicure, one of which walked away while the water was filling and I had to get her attention to come back before it spilled out. I think they need a better system and/or more workers. With so many nail places to pick from, there is no need to waste time at a place like this. Nothing special about the services, and no reason for me to come back here. read more

I went there yesterday. I went for an express manicures and hot stone pedicure. When she had to removed the nail paint... I had to remind her to put the base coat on again... all my nails look patchy and have this weirdly done too coats. Overall the manicure is so poorly done that I can paint my nails better. Ann is amazing! My gel manicure ($30+tip) is flawless every single time. She is super sweet and always shapes my stilettos perfectly. My nails last at least three weeks without lifting or chipping at all and then I only have to go in because they are growing out. I've been here twice and the service and quality is amazing. First day they helped me with a manicure I walked in because I had a very broken nail and they helped me right away without an appointment were gentle and glued my nail back. I only had some cash with me since I wasn't planning on coming in and they gave me a gel manicure for a discounted price. Today I walked in for a pedicure which included a lot of things for only $35 less if it's cash. I also had a broken nail from fake nails I got elsewhere and they fixed it and it looks beautiful compared to the rest done somewhere else. read more

I used to love this place however I had to venture out. I needed a pedicure so I thought I would give them a try again I was disappointed once more. I called made an appt for my mom and I. We show up and got the $48 pedicure. We are given the basket of colors. We chose our color and mid-pedicure they start asking me for the color. Told her it was 100 something, I didn't realize that it was going to be a memory test for me. The lady doing my toes seemed more concerned with her cell phone then her job. Once she was done she put my fitflops on and damaged my big toe and pinky. I was so turned off I didn't care to complain. I just will not return. read more

Great new place in Mountain View! I walked past the place while running errands in the shopping plaza, and stopped in on a whim to see if they could fit me in right then. They did! Great color selection, and they even have the plastic samples of the colors, so you don't need to paint random splotches on your own nails when testing colors. I got a basic pedicure, pretty standard, but meticulous and clean. The salon is also bright and open, and the ladies were very inviting and sweet. Will definitely be returning. read more

Went here 2 weeks ago to get a fill. First of all I called to see if they do colored acrylic fills and they said yes. It's not colored acrylic. It's clear white acrylic with gelish or shellac painted over like nail polish. I don't do either one of those because being in health care I'm always washing my hands and that stuff peels up super quick. Well needless to say that night both my thumbs and pointer fingers started peeling up at the tips on the corners. Aside from that the place was nice and clean and the staff was really nice. They kept asking if I'd like any water. The price wasn't so bad either but o was disappointed that it peeled up. read more

I hope to improve this review in the future as I think I might try this place again based on the good reviews, but my manicure here was painful. I rarely get manis and I tend to keep my nails short because of my line of work, but I don't think that's a reason to be careless. My nails did not have to be cut shorter, now they are laughably short down to exposing the nail bed. My cuticles were left bloody after being painfully pushed back by her own nails, and at some point my skin was cut on one finger as well and is still burning. The only saving grace is that they were actually painted very nicely. I get very shy in person but wish I got this persons name so I'd know who not to return to. Anyways, I will give this place another shot sometime mostly because of the other good reviews posted her and just ask my nails not to be done by her if I see her. read more

I was gravely disappointed. I've been here before but this time it seems like all the people were new and my experience was awful. I set an appointment to get dip powder nails and pedicure with eyebrow wax. Pedicure was great but they started working on my nails and every stroke was hurting my nails and the lady was pulling on my nail (the old dip powder) as if to pull it off and damage my nails. I pulled away several times for both hands and she is continually burning and hurting my hands without remorse. I finally tell her to stop. And she proceeds to tell me she has to do this. I've gotten dip powder before and what you don't have to do is hurt me. If it was this painful I wouldn't do it. And they (three of them gang up on me) continue to try to convince me this is necessary and I decline. They finally say with an attitude you can soap in acetone and it's going to take 30 mins so I agree. I'm thinking they are going to do the individual foil with cotton acetone and they bring me a bowl to hold all my fingers. Unbelievable - they didn't care about my nails or my treatment. I was miserable. I was there to relax. I eventually took my hands out and was like I'm done. Some ladies knew how bad I was being treated and how bad the acetone is for your hands they she gave me a warm cloth for my hand and thick lotion. And they were only nearby watching. I didn't get my toenails polished because I knew I would have to go somewhere else. That was the worse experience I've ever had and all they could say to me was how this was right. What's sad is I went to another nail shop and a lady used the exact same tool they had and not one of my fingers was hurting - NOT one. She also used the individual acetone on cotton with the foil and it took less than 10mins. Crystal Nails was wrong to tell me that hurting me was necessary and they didn't even try to accommodate in a non nail damaging manner. I was just another cow with cash and they needed to get me in and out instead of providing me a good experience. - don't go there. Save your nails for a place that cares. I had a great experience during my first visit here with Victoria, also known as "V". Her warm, genuine and welcoming smile guided me to my seat. She actually was responsive and respectful. I felt that she focused on my nails while in the past most of my pedicure experiences consisted of the nail artist talking to their fellow co workers but not Victoria, she was very present and gave me a much needed 10 min foot massage. Use to come here all the time since I moved here in January. But yesterday one of the nail techs ripped half my nail off on my pinky finger and didn't offer first aid on it. I had to ask if I can have an alcohol wipe but all they did was spray alcohol on it and put a bandaid. When I got home the bandaid was soaked in blood. The ladies were nice and my mani-pedi was good, but my boyfriend got a pedicure and 3 days later noticed an infection on his big toe. At the time the salon seemed under staffed so the gal doing his pedicure kept getting up to check another clients shellac manicure and didn't change her gloves or maybe she just dug into deep. If I could go lower than one star I would. I asked for basic white short nails for my daughters wedding and I was left with nails that look like they were painted with whiteout. On top of that, the employee refused to re-due the nails and insisted I payed full. The nails were bumpy and fat and the artist criticized me say that it was just my hands. Not acceptable. The thing that makes me disappointed is they are very pricey for a regular full set long nails which I paid $50 for and which I can get somewhere else for $40 atleast! Having said so, this place is not organized whatsoever. They take appointments, but it doesn't mean anything. Saw several customers that were told to come back an hour later but nobody wrote their names down. An hour later, they came back and there were still no one available to help. They also hurried me off my chair the second I was done because they were trying to turn customers over quickly... Which I did not appreciate. I would never recommend this place. I was trying hard to give them a chance but every time I showed up they ran late and I mean very late. They would tell you over the phone they had availability but when you showed up it never worked out. If you reschedule your appt. even with advance notice they end up getting irritated with you. They could always be late and overbooked but if you called and asked to reschedule they did not like that. I think I found my new nail place! It opened up 5 weeks ago and Kim and Lisa do a great job! I love the hot stone lotion massage after my shellac manicure and the peppermint and lemon pedicure was amazing!!! I felt so pampered and relaxed. Also, I overheard the lady next to me ask her pedicurist if it was easier to move her to a manicure table instead of remaining in her massage chair and the pedicurist said "We want you to feel comfortable and cared for. I came in for a pedicure and fill the other day. Pedicure was very thorough and I enjoyed it but the girl used this cheese grater thing on my feet and actually filed a part of my skin down on my foot so much it still hurt 5 days later. They were very rough on my nails for a fill too. They took the lifted parts off really hard without caring how they damaged my real nail or hurt me. My pinky nail was filed down so low it bled and I'm concerned for my next fill cause the nail is paper thin now. I say "they" because 3 different girls worked on me for my fill alone while I sat in the pedicure chair. My fingertips ached all evening and the next morning because of how rough they were. They also didn't have me choose a color while I waited, so I ended up having to choose very quickly while they were already working on me. Don't recommend this place at all. read more
