This place is terible! I walk in for a dip manicure on Sunday afternoon they say they can take me I and to pick a color. I then wait about 10 mins and they wrap my nails. I had an appointment for 5:45 pm to get a manicure and a pedicure. I waited over 45 minutes with my feet in water and no one came to assist me. The staff acted as though I was not there and serviced multiple people around me. When I asked for assistance, I was told to wait. All I wanted was a towel to dry my feet off and when she did finally respond she brought me a wet towel. The vibe was not welcoming at all and the ladies in there kept whispering. This review unfortunately is years in the making. I've given this business more than it's fair share of chances and I can finally say I can't go back here again. I was a regular at Crystal nails for about 5 years before I moved into Boston, my parents live in bridgewater and I would often get manicures or pedicures when I visited. I watched the business just go so downhill over the years. On a visit about a year ago, when taking off my gel polish they simply took the grinding tool to the polish to take it off. No soaking, nothing, just took the polish straight off in about 2 minutes. This completely destroyed my nails to the point they were so weak they bent to the touch. I ended up having to switch to fully acrylic nails after this because my nails had been ground down and would break easier than ever. Obviously this is upsetting and I did have a thought that perhaps my nails were getting weak for whatever reason, however, reading other reviews it seems I'm not alone. My last straw was I recently took my 5 year old niece to get a mani pedi and myself a pedicure. We had appointments but ended up waiting for 45 minutes before we were seen. While we waited they filled our pedicure buckets with freezing cold water and didn't come back to check on the temperature once. I sat with my confused 5 year old niece for again 45 minutes with a bucket of cold water in front of us. It was very hard for me to spin this into an enjoyable experience despite trying very hard. My pedicure was fine, however, absolutely no time or attention was spent on my nieces nails. Is she 5 years old? Yes? Am I spending $30 for this service, also yes. I watched the nail tech brush a nail file over her nails, and proceed to paint over her dirty finger nails that she did not soak, shape, or clean in any way. I went home and cleaned out the bottoms of her nails because you could see it through the polish. I felt rushed out the door and my nieces nails essentially peeled off before she went to bed that night. Again, yes, she is 5. But I would expect this to last more than 6 hours. I don't think I've ever had such a quick fill and pedi. The pedi wasn't even 15 minutes. Everything was really rushed, and not really what I asked for. However, the most frustrating part of going is that my nails were inconsistently painted, some with thick coats of paint, some not, some really sloppy, some not, and it's only been a day and the gel has chipped. Made an appointment with a friend. When we arrived, had to wait about 30 mins. I was flexible as it was a last minute appointment on a Sunday. I got my gel mani removed and a basic pedicure. The manicure chipped on almost every nail the next day. I didn't do any type of sports, etc. so I am not sure why it chipped off so quickly. I also noticed a chip on my toe nail. Again, I get mani/pedi (both regular and gel) all the time and usually a basic manicure will at least last a few days before chipping. When I took off the polish after day 2, the nails are all filed uneven. I am very displeased at this as it cost me over $50 with tip and it did not even last 24 hours. Very rushed service, very displeased. I live 1.5 hours a way or I would drive back. read more

I have never had such a poor experience with a nail salon and I'm a very understanding person but wow. This is right after I left the salon. The lady who did them was acting like she had 70 other things she'd rather be doing, completely careless and poor attitude. She rushed the whole process. She didn't even completely take off the nail polish that was there you can see the red polish underneath in the picture. I still paid and tipped her well, which may of been stupid of me to do, but I always tip. The male that works here is very pleasant and did a great job on my nails last time I went. I went and got my nails done on a Sunday come Monday three fell off. I called they fixed them for me free of charge, I was very happy. Come Tuesday another three came off, I called again they told me to come back fixed them for me again... come Thursday two more came off, today is now Saturday and another two came off. This place went downhill fast. I used to go there a lot. Now they're dirty, unfriendly and the guy giving me a regular manicure cut/filed my nails so viciously that he filed them down to the root. They were practically bleeding. Just because he was in a rush to get his lunch. Their nail polish is disgusting. It is so old. They seem so dirty too. I believe the re-use the pumice stones and other implements. I haven't seen any of those sanitizing machines there either. read more

So after almost a year, I decided to TRY Crystal nails again for a Deluxe Pedicure. Lets just say I went monday, It is now Thursday, I can usually get a pedicure and have the polish last atleast a couple weeks before it begins to chip. Its 3 days later and my big toe is chipping right off. Also I asked for a deluxe pedicure which is a 40 Minute service, I was in and out of the chair in 25 min. Its rediculous. I really wanted to like it there because it is so convenient to my house. I will be trying out the places in Bridgewater center to see if it is better service. Also they should try to remember a top coat it helps make the polish last better. and not to mention last I knew the polish is supposed to be on my toenail not the tip of the toe its self. Very disappointed! I went in on a Sunday for a fill and a pedi because my regular salon was closed. The woman filled the pedi tub with freezing water! I told her and she said oh it will get warm, ok, but mixing warm water with cold water is still not going to be the right temperature. She was rough and kept stopping to watch the news, which was rather aggravating. Their polish selection was below average. I tipped her $10 which I thought was fair given my rather unpleasant experience. I did this before she painted my nails; she must have been unsatisfied because she painted all over my cuticles and even after she used acetone to fix it they remained stained. I booked a group appointment for my bridal party and everyone loved how their nails and toes came out! They have all the newest colors in regular polish and Gel. Their prices are a little higher than I'm used to but the quality of work is worth it. They have always been able to take me right away without an appointment. The people here are very rude. When my friends and I go in for eyebrow waxing they always ask if we would like our lip or face waxed as well.Very insulting! They always seem to be in a rush to close as well. One time I went in for a mani/pedi an hour before close and they asked if they could do the manicure while I was sitting in the pedicure chair. I went for a pedicure and eyebrow wax a couple weeks back and won't return. I didn't expect much for the wax but she had me sit in a regular chair while she pushed my head back to do the wax and then globbed on some Vaseline when she was through. I then proceeded to get a pedicure with cold water and basically just a foot wash. They clean the materials in the tub while your feet are in there! They watch TV while they give the pedicure. This place went downhill! I have been coming here regularly for 5 years. Today I went in for a pedi and gel manicure. A bad pedicure and a cut on my hand later and I'm beyond annoyed. The owner is obnoxious and made me feel being cut was my fault. She did not apologize. I tried to stick my cut on my hand out but they were so unhelpful with finding a color that I made them take everything off and I refused the manicure. I also refused to lay for my pedicure but the owner put up such a stink that I ended up giving her the money against my better judgement. I left in tears. 2 weeks ago I got a beautiful full set of pink and white acrylics. I went in yesterday to get the pink filled and asked the server to cut them down because I like them short. She butchered them. She filed them all down so far that half the white was missing so now I have a sliver of white showing. She shaved them down so fast and was so rough on my hands I will NEVER have her do them again. I went home and painted my nails till I need to get another fill in 2 weeks. Crystal Nails is a hit or miss. The owner, Lee, is wonderful and the person who gave me the set originally (ken?) was equally wonderful. They just need to weed out the bad seeds. My own fault I didn't say anything. First time going here after relocating from Boston. Had a gel manicure, pedicure and eyebrow wax. They were plenty nice BUT it was nit an enjoyable experience. When I go for a mani/pedi, I go to relax and enjoy being pampered. Tough to do when you are being serviced under the wire ( by means of a kitchen timer). Who can relax when the technician is literally watching the clock?!!! No massage with the pedi... I got a 3 second rub with some hot stones but zero massage! I also think the prices are high! $35 for a gel manicure. I paid $25 in boston. When I inquired, I was told "we do it different".... Ummm.... No, you don't! Had my eyebrows done.... In less than 30 seconds! Wax was so hot it burned the area around my brows (and I am not sensitive!). No trimming...no laying down. Sat in a chair and tech came in and was done in less than a minute. I don't even want to give Crystal Nails one star. I've been there several times and have never been overly excited about the place; but needed a quick, simple french manicure this morning (standard polish, not gel). I was there for an hour and walked out with the worst manicure of my life. My cuticles look awful (they did not clean them up whatsoever) and not one out of the ten nails are acceptable. Each french tip is either chipped, crooked or smudged and my nail beds have streaks of white in them from not letting the polish dry before putting the next coat on. When I told the woman I was unhappy with them she "tried" to fix it but just gooped on more polish over it - making them look even worse. She then looked at me, shrugged and said "sorry" because she knew they looked so bad. I just wanted to get out of there so I asked to pay for the manicure. I told the owner that I would be going home to immediately remove the nail polish and she did not seem concerned. This is the first review I've ever written on Yelp, and trust me, by no means did I make a scene or be rude to anyone at the salon... but I had to leave a comment because I am blown away by how careless and unprofessional this place is.
