The installers do not care. Better off to pay a little more and go elsewhere which is what I will do for any future windshields.

But then it cracked shortly after and became WAY more damaged than normal during the timeframe. When getting it replaced again the guy was shocked that they didn't use the right kind of glue, it made a huge disaster, and it wasn't sealed right and now my car has rust. The tech there said it was THE WORST work he's ever seen, and they must have used the cheapest products available on earth. Look at my 2021 car rusting out where they placed the windshield! Terrible. When I brought it back, service staff quickly went to show how some parts were only partially attached and left grease marks on interior of the car. Manager came out to say he would go to the dealer the next day to get details on parts and would call me. 2 weeks later I called and he still hadn't gone. Called back a week later and he said I had to stop quick by so he could get part numbers first. Stopped by then he said he'd need to schedule me in for a longer appointment. Brought it back again, and he came out saying they found parts "just laying in the window track" which made no sense as they weren't just laying there when I had it before. Then said he didn't know how to reattach it, but he checked and it would only cost me $250 to take it to the dealer to finish the job. Asked about getting them to cover the cost and he said that wasn't their job, but I could schedule something for them to clean the grease off the fabric. Had husband call and describe what our mechanic said and left a message for the owner to call. It's been another week and nothing.

Last time I used their services, I called in at 9:30 a.m. and got an appointment for 1:00 p.m. I call that fast. The price was well below other quotes I had. Importantly, when you call in, a real person answers the phone and gives you a quote right away! No recordings or electronic answering prompts to navigate. These are real people with a pulse. I've had at least 3 windshields installed here. After the fact, they look after you promptly if something needs attention. The shop is easy to find just west of Edmonton Trail, a block south of 40th Ave. If you can't spare the time to drive to their shop they will pick up your car, leave you a loaner, and return your car with new windshield 2-3 hours later.

An employee who did not have a valid driver's license drove it and got into an accident, something I only know for certain because of the police report, not because anyone from CalAlta Autoglass told me. Then came the real problem: silence. Seven weeks of it. No call, no update, nothing. The first time anyone from CalAlta Autoglass actually reached out was their general manager, and only after their own insurance company insisted he respond. To this day, I still haven't gotten an apology. When they finally made an offer, it covered about half of what an independent shop quoted for a proper repair, and it relied on recycled parts pulled from other wrecked vehicles plus generic aftermarket parts on my suspension and steering. They described this to me in writing as "OEE" parts, which is a real term, just one used for glass replacement (their actual business), not for collision repair, and it doesn't even appear in their own estimate. A certified collision centre expert confirmed their offer wouldn't actually restore my vehicle to its pre-loss condition. On top of that, no rental vehicle, and no commitment to cover any further damage found once repairs start, both completely standard after an at-fault accident. Their insurer's own Director of Claims later confirmed in writing that the number CalAlta Autoglass was offering doesn't reflect what they actually owe. Worth asking them yourself why their insurer denied coverage in the first place. I'm now over eight weeks without my own vehicle, and I'm taking this to small claims court just to get it fixed the way it should have been from the start. This is where things stand as of today. This is still ongoing, and I'll update this review as it develops. Don't let their other reviews fool you. Find a shop that actually stands behind its work.
