The mirror bifold door in my entryway got broken the other weekend. I called Crystal Glass (919 - 9th Avenue SW location) first thing Monday morning and was told they would have someone out before noon to look at it and provide an estimate for the repair. Less than 30 minutes later, I received a call from the estimator saying he would be at my place in 10 minutes. Doug provided an estimate while he was at my place and took the bifold door with him for repairs. I expected a turn-around of maybe 2 to 3 days for the repairs. Approximately, 2 hours after Doug left with the door I received a call saying that the repair was completed and that they were on their way to install the repaired door for me. Amazing service. Less than 4 hours from first call to completion of the repairs. I highly recommend Crystal Glass. read more

We had low e windows installed last year. The rooms were noticeably warmer throughout the winter and now are cooler in the summer. The installers were very professional and completed the work in one day. Very pleased with their work and the staff at the Bowness store. read more

I had a small (star shaped) rock chip repaired from the downtown 9th avenue location. This location has done such a bad repair job, that the filling material only filled the center (~2mm diameter) the small cracks around the repair were still visible, I complained the man at the counter about that but he argued its a good enough repair work and the star cracks will not grow. But now after few weeks of repair, I found that one of the cracks is expanding, which means that the crack will grow further. I had several rock chip repairs in the past, but never had such a bad repair job. I do not know what warranties they offer, but I will certainly not recommend this location. read more

I will preface this review by first saying I am not angry or upset, there was simply a circus of unfortunate incidents. All of the people I had spoke with were polite and responsive to my inquiries and calls. I had brought my SUV in to have a windshield replaced. I booked the service online approximately 20 days in advance, received response email to come in at specified date. I came in to the location to find out I wasn't booked in and the windshield wasn't ordered and had to be rush shipped in from another location. For this I had to return the next day for service. I dropped the car off at 7AM MST, received call at approximately 330PM MST on the same day stating the work was complete with some caveats. Service notified me that there was damage to the windshield after it was installed, I was given the choice of a discount or an install of a replacement windshield booked for another date. I chose the discount as this was already an inconvenience enough for me. I was also notified that the car guidance and cameras could be recalibrated because of a technical limitation. I later decided not to book with this location and I would visit my dealer as I wasn't as confident with the service I was given to that point. Overall not great unfortunately. I will say the discount was generous however. read more

I had my drivers side window smashed in Edmonton. I went to the Crystal Glass in Edmonton have it replaced and they found a replacement in Calgary. After a week of delays, I had to return to Calgary (my home) with the window covered in plastic. I received a call from the Calgary Crystal Glass on Tuesday telling me to bring the car in. I did and they called me later that day saying that the window they received wouldn't fit and that they would have to order a new window (at twice the price) from Vancouver. I needed the car for Sunday so I agreed. They then called me on Friday morning telling me the new glass was in and what day next week could I bring the car in. I explained that I specifically agreed earlier because I was told that the car would be reported by Saturday. They then asked that I bring the car in immediately. I did so. While I was in the shop, the installer asked which window I preferred (the less expensive one that came from Edmonton) or the one that they had ordered from Vancouver. I said that I was told that the less expensive one wouldn't fit. The installer told me that it would. I got a caller later in the day saying that they had installed the more expensive window as the other one didn't quite fit. There was no further explanation. As well, I still have a warning light displaying a "power window anti-trap function deactivated" message. When I asked about that, they told me to check with the dealer. Remarkably poor service with poor communication left me feeling that I was not being told the whole story and was just pushed through so they could get their $600.00 read more

The window of my new apartment had been broken before I moved there, thankfully it was a double pane window and a piece of the outside was the part that was missing. But I thought this could be a potential guillotine for somebody who accidently slipped and fell and perhaps lose a body part. So my landlord is amazing and so quick on the draw that this was fixed before I made my move. We coordinated times and Crystal Glass was the company of choice who came with the glass in the accurate measurement. The man working for this company may I add is not too bad on the eyes either so it was really fun watching him fix my window. Aside from the obvious, he was courteous, very kind and had the window fixed in no time. Price seemed reasonable for the work involved and it was a no hassle operation. So call CG, for your glass needs, I can't promise you the eye candy but I can assure you the work will be more than satisfying. read more

Came in because a vent window on my car was broken by a drunken hooligan. The service was extremely friendly, pretty quick especially for a Saturday, and priced fairly. I ended up only paying $229, which is significantly less than what I was quoted elsewhere, and I only waited for 2.5 hours. No wifi but you can walk a block to Tim Hortons or two blocks to Starbucks while you wait. read more

After a picture I had hanging on a wall in my house fell, the glass broke. I took the framed picture to the Crystal Glass Bowness location. The service was friendly and they told me they could replace the glass right away. I waited for maybe 10 minutes and paid about $15. Great service! read more

Do not go to these guys! Originally I went to Chinook Glass to get a repair done on some window screens. I was quoted 2 weeks, so I went to the next place.. Happened to be Crystal Glass (Bowness Calgary, Alberta Location) They told me 3-4 days. Here I am (nearly 2 weeks later) after multiple phone calls, each time they've assured me they will be ready within a day. Today, I called them and asked what was going on with the screens. They told me they are being put together as we speak and everything is being completed, and they will give me a call when it is ready for me to come pick them up. This is 3 hours before they close. (at 5:00 PM) Come 4:50 PM, Crystal Glass calls me to inform me that my screens are done. At 4 50... 10 MINUTES before they close. When they were in the process of putting them together 3 hours ago. (These things aren't hard to put together, I would have taken the parts home and put it together myself if they let me) That said, I will NEVER be using Crystal Glass again, for anything. Pathetic company, Terrible service, Manipulative and fake secretary. They should team up with purolator. read more

Before Christmas I contacted 3 companies for quotes for custom-cut glass for 2 dressers and 2 bedside tables - 2 companies did not respond and the third said my online message form went to junk mail - twice! I called Crystal Glass and had prompt, courteous attention beginning to end - from the receptionist to the men who templated the furniture, cut and then delivered the glass - all within one week.
