I absolutely love the Aldi here in Pflugerville. Back when I lived in Pittsburgh, my friends…read moreactually called me the Aldi queen because I shopped there so much. I still make it a point to stop by this location one or two times a month to stock up on essentials. They always have a surprisingly good selection of fresh produce and fun seasonal items. The service is great too, with friendly cashiers who keep the checkout lines moving lightning fast. Self-checkout is a breeze too.

But I didn't get the chance to shop there. Fast forward, I was in Georgia for a few months, went inside, and fell completely in love. It is such a great grocery store. So when I came to Austin, I just assumed they didn't have one, but to my surprise, I discovered the ALDI sign as I was driving to another store. I find my go-to and mostly a variety of food that I love. I find other items I haven't tried before, but now do. They also have the best selection of meats, veggies, and fruit. The freshest of fruit, I must add. I love the wide selection of candies, crackers, and cookies. My favorite is the miniature Reese's cups and the fruit gummies. I like that when I can't find an item, someone is there to help. I like the layout of the store; it's very open with maybe 4 to 5 aisles. I like that they are very friendly at the cash register.

However this particular sale as they had a coupon for the propane gas and the app told me they had them in stock. While checking out I was advices they may not have any and I was a little taken aback because I checked the app prior to coming. The manager or lady at customer service actually took the time to go outside and check to see if they had any and found one and helped me with my purchase. I appreciate customer service and that was going beyond and above. I know sometimes the websites or apps don't match the inventory and I honestly didn't feel like driving to cedar park to check so thank you again for checking for us. I always enjoy shopping his location because it is clean, well stocked and organized but I've never had bad customer service. My produce and meats from here are great too!!

I really recommend their bagels. Fresh, tasty. Also, Christmas items in clearance were very inexpensive and I found a few great decorative items and baking stuff. They have Starbucks which makes it so convenient. Coffee tasted somewhat old, but barista was very accommodating and brewed a fresh one. Definitely want to go back to shop.

Prices are what the typical HEB prices are so no surprises there. It's B I G. Did I mention there's a True Texas BBQ right at the left entrance of the store? You can order via several kiosks and order online for pickup or just eat and then shop. Lines aren't too long either. They have multiple ways to checkout: the usual self-checkout 10 items or less, self-checkout 25 items or less, and the usual stand-in-line conveyor belt style. They sometimes have sample stations just depends which day you go (idk their schedule). Overall a very new and nice place to shop-eat-chill. I love my local HEB

The Mac and cheese was as close to the version I make at home that all love. It was very creamy and hot and fresh. I also ordered the onion rings and was surprised at how crispy there were. I had low expectations because most usually miss the mark for me. These were very good and will get them every time I return. The wait was a little long at 12:30 but very much worth it IMO. The restaurant has nice seating and several TVs to distract while waiting for your food. I need to remember not to go to the store around lunchtime because it will be hard for me to not eat here every time now.

So off I went to order curbside, and wow, what an experience. First of all, curbside here is chef's kiss. They've got their own dedicated area off to the side, away from the parking lot chaos. No fighting with other customers who think your reserved spot is fair game. Nope, this is a curbside oasis. There are plenty of spots, and the in-and-out process is smoother than a perfectly ripe avocado. The store itself looks great from the outside--pristine, shiny, and promising. I haven't been inside yet (I mean, why bother when curbside is this good?), but I've heard the Texas BBQ inside is legendary. And now I'm torn: do I break my streak of grocery-store efficiency and go in for brisket, or do I stay loyal to my curbside kingdom? Decisions, decisions. In conclusion, this H-E-B has me contemplating a long-term relationship. I might just keep coming here, even if it's a bit of a drive. Who knew I'd get so sentimental about parking spots and stocked shelves? Next thing you know, I'll be writing sonnets about their tortilla factory.
