Each time they do more and more damage to my car. Sometimes I get the $50 car wash but mainly I get the $31 one so I can have tire dressing. This time I asked them by they vacuum can you please make sure they wipe down my seats cause they never do and be careful with my tint since they scratched it last time. I had a woman drying it this time since there were notes on the receipt she said is it fine and I said yes. I got in the car and I didn't have the air freshener so I called her back and she put the air freshener in. This morning the day after I am parking my car and I noticed all these black marks all over my sunroof. This is why we take it to the car wash because either we don't have a way to wash our car properly or we don't have time to wash our car properly. With tip included when you pay $40 for a car wash you would expect a little more. I am really gonna have to find another place even though they are right down the street from where I live. I really enjoy the people inside the convenience store. All the staff inside there are very helpful very friendly and I love to buy little trinkets and lottery tickets but each time I go and I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars my car is worse off. I had a detail buffing service quote and they gave me $1000 for this to buffed out and the ceramic coating on. Just beware. It might be convenient but over time your car will be paying the price.

Whenever I come to pay for my car wash, the same expressionless workers take my money and give me a little wipe. I miss the guy who actually would hose down my car. The workers here don't do a good job of keeping people out... the vacuum is for patrons only, but some people cut the cones to come I to utilize their machines. It's an okay car wash, but a few issues keep it from earning a higher rating, some of which are…read moresignificant. On my third visit, I ended up with a completely punctured tire right after leaving the lot. I can't say for certain whether it was caused by the machinery or debris on the ground, but the timing was hard to ignore. It resulted in a tow and a replacement tire on a busy day. The staff didn't take responsibility, and it didn't feel worth the effort of pursuing further, but it's something to be aware of. On a separate visit, I experienced an unusual issue where what looked like small static discharges were forming along my sunroof during the wash (I have video of this). When I brought it up, the response from the front desk was minimal, they said they would "look at it," but didn't ask for details, review the video, or document the issue. There was no real follow-up or concern shown. I also had an issue with their membership tag not working. Instead of resolving it properly, I was given a loose tag from a sticker sheet to show at the gate. Since then, I've been questioned multiple times by staff asking where I got it and how I obtained it, as if it wasn't legitimately issued to me. This could have been avoided if the original issue was handled correctly. Overall, the customer service has been consistently disappointing. I haven't had a single interaction that felt helpful or even neutral, at times it comes across as dismissive. They also removed the kit that used to be included with the wax/polish tier, which reduces the value, especially considering the membership is around $50/month. I usually prefer resolving concerns directly with a business, but based on my experiences, I didn't feel that would be productive here. I've since canceled my membership and switched to another tunnel wash nearby, where the service, value, and overall experience have been significantly better. Given my experiences, I wouldn't recommend this location.

I'm giving House of Car Wash in Montclair four stars and honestly I'm being a little generous,…read moremainly because the staff was genuinely very nice and accommodating, and I want to give credit where it's due. This one's partly on me because I showed up without my key, but they were super patient and worked with me, even letting me drive my Tesla through the wash myself. They helped me figure out valet mode, didn't rush me, and were calm while I was clearly stressed trying to get everything sorted. That kind of customer service matters and it definitely saved the experience from being a total letdown. That said, the vibe was... strange. I pulled up and genuinely thought the place was closed. It was completely empty, no cars, no staff visible, nothing. It felt like a zombie zone. I sat there confused for a minute until someone randomly appeared and waved me in. Even when I went to pay afterward, there was nobody around again, which added to the whole uneasy, deserted feeling. What was extra surprising is that it was a Tuesday special, so I expected at least some traffic. Seeing it that dead was honestly concerning, especially given how highly rated this place is on Yelp. As for the wash itself, I paid about $50 for a wash with wax and I don't think I'd do that again. I actually watched them wash the car and didn't see anything particularly special that justified the price. It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't impressive. I also tried the massage chairs out front while waiting, which cost $5 for 15 minutes, and I definitely wouldn't recommend that. Totally not worth it, especially sitting there alone in an empty lot. Overall, the staff was kind and helpful, and that's the main reason this isn't a lower rating, but the odd atmosphere, pricing, and mismatch between expectations and reality mean I probably won't be back.
