He was helpful, polite, and went out of his way to make our experience top tier all without even knowing it was our last Christmas here. He took us for photos, shook, wrapped, and tied our tree to the car, without being asked. He came to us as soon as we got back from picking our tree and did the rest for us. This young man deserves the highest of praises and if we were staying here, we would be returning yearly because of him.

We were the only ones there. The man who greeted us (the owner?) was very nice and welcoming. There were still quite a few trees to choose from. We found a great tree, and cut it down (yes, it was growing in the ground, not trucked in from Oregon), and had a lovely chat with the man as he rang us up and helped tie it to our car. The shop was lovely, too. We were planning to go back again in 2014, but I broke my foot, and so we decided to finally break down and buy a fake tree. I would recommend Mountain View Tree Farm.

It's the best looking tree we've ever had in WA and didn't break the bank for an 8' tree. In the past we had gone to Trinity but spent over $170 for an 8' tree last year and vowed to find a new place that wasn't filled with a bunch of yuppies just trying to get their social media pics. The staff was super friendly at Papa's Tree farm. They even provide carpet squares and saws, BUT they also have workers with chainsaws to make the process super easy to cut down your tree. They haul it over to be shaken and baled ($5) and even loaded the tree atop our car and tied it on for us. Talk about full service. They had a few fire pit fires too!!! We definitely will be heading back there next year!

Even though our kids have grown up, they still make time to go with us. The farm is dog-friendly. You can bring them along, too. The tree selection is excellent. They are healthy and come in a wide variety of types and sizes. The staff is very helpful. We always visit the cafe to sip on cider. Their fries are fantastic. I tell all my friends and colleagues about Trinity Tree Farm.

We are in the middle of a significant makeover of our gardens - moving plants, preparing new spaces…read moreand thinking through how we want things to look next summer, two years later and ten years later! We are trying to get as much in the ground as possible before spring, taking advantage of Mother Nature's free watering in season. My wife and I have visited many nurseries, from Pierce County to Snohomish County, and we've been fortunate to have met many wonderful and knowledgable people at each one. Hobart Farms is our latest destination and our experience with them has been beyond five stars. Jessica, Domenic and Lilly have helped us so far - advising us about alternatives for bare spaces, recommendations on how to arrange new plants in a new garden, planting, feeding and lots of encouragement! We are hopefully close to done purchasing what we need to plant this season, but we are looking forward to our spring visits to Hobart Farms for more perennial fillers and annuals to fill our pots and other small spaces. If only they could help us hypnotize the squirrels to stay away from our tulip bulbs - well, that would be a six star review. Their indoor insulated greenhouse has an abundance of indoor house plants. We are not purchasing for indoors, but the selection they have is amazing! Watch for their Christmas festivities - Santa will be there! Added bonus: After Hobart, we like to treat ourselves to an amazing personal pizza at Cascadia Pizza, at the intersection of the Maple Valley Highway and 216th. It's well laid out and full of so many great ideas. The advice I have received is invaluable and their classes are always extremely helpful. As you can tell, I'm a bit of a novice gardener but Jessica never made me feel dumb and answers all my questions without a hint of annoyance. She simply wants you to be successful. I buy all my seeds and starts here and they've done really well thus far. I just can't say enough good things about this nursery. Pay Jessica a visit, I promise you won't be disappointed.
