    Red Barn Tree Farm

First time here and it was a blast! Few things to know: 1. CASH or CHECK ONLY! Wish we knew ahead of time. There is an ATM on site but of course the line was long and $3.50 fee. 2. No tree shaker so be prepared for lots of needles falling off. 3. Parking is a little tight and getting into the lot was a long wait from the main road. Get there early! Overall this was an amazing experience. Our kiddos had lots of fun especially on the train. They have a huge selection of beautiful trees which made it hard to pick just one.

    Beautiful grand fir

It was an easy trek to find a gorgeous grand fir tree for a reasonable price. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bonus for their carts so we didn't have to carry the tree back! Train only runs on the weekends but we're too old for that anyway!

Good selection, very quality trimmed trees, staff were not overly friendly but helpful, tree was bailed, carried and loaded by staff which was nice! Price is per tree type regardless of size and train only runs on the weekends so we did not get to experience that! Apparently their website is not up to date or "not ran by the tree farm" per staff which leads to a lot of misinformation. Would go back due to quality trees.

Closes weeks before christmas. Lots of trees, just don't feel like staying open I guess. Funny way to run a business. We won't be back.

Everyone here is rude and Clearly in a bad mood. It's very unorganized and messy. Don't waste your money or time here.

They have a train that takes you around the farm and the tree selection is better than most farms we've been to over the years.

We do the Douglas fur every year. The kids love to help cut down the tree. They trim, shake it out and wrap it for you. Pre cut trees are also available. They offer warm hot cocoa and coffee. There is a food truck with mini donuts, cider and other items open on the weekends. Kids can write a letter to Santa and put it into the mail box, and get a certified letter back! It's a wonderful place. We will continue to keep coming here!!!

This tree farm has obviously gotten a little too big for its britches. Let me explain:…read more Last year, we stopped by and were told that they were not allowing people to cut their own trees that year. I think they told us there was flooding or something. No biggie. It happens. Our family is into cutting our own Christmas tree so we just left and drove down the road to a smaller tree farm that allowed us to cut our own. This year, due to COVID-19 and the governor's restrictions, they were socially distancing and only letting 40 people in at a time. There was a line of people wrapped around the entire parking lot. A nice young lady was walking the line and passing out candy canes. It's annoying, but we totally understood and did our part to socially distance while in line and wore our masks. We were in line for over 45 minutes; just under an hour. Finally, we're next in line. I make a joke to the two girls running the front of the line that we were worried they would tell us after waiting so long that they weren't allowing us to cut our own again this year. And then they told us: no, there is no cutting your own again this year. I was very nice, but explained how incredibly frustrating it was to hear this after we had just waited in line almost an hour. I asked why the girl passing out candy canes to the line wasn't announcing this, or why there weren't any signs out ANYWHERE, so people didn't waste their time. We were apologized to and told it was on their website. Which is not really helpful to the vast majority of people who come to these tree farms as most people don't check the website and just drive out. Our family left and drove down the road to the same smaller farm we got our tree last year. I felt really frustrated though. I got the impression that they purposely were not telling people so that by the time people got to the front of the line, they wouldn't want to waste time going somewhere else and would just fork over their money. Not cool. If we just wanted a tree leaning against a fence, we could get it from a parking lot instead of driving an hour to go to the tree farm. We go to the tree farm for family memories and have experiences to talk about as a family. It also gets us in the Christmas spirit and starts off our holiday season making the transition from Autumn and Thanksgiving to Winter and Christmas. The lack of communication to people driving to visit them shows a total lack of respect for their customers and really seemed conniving to me. Had there been signs out or someone walking around to tell the line of people so people like us didn't waste our time, we wouldn't have been upset at all. But the lack of communication, during 2020 when many people are just trying to keep whatever routines they can during this hectic year, is just inexcusable. We won't be back anymore. There are plenty of other, smaller, tree farms on this stretch of road who treat their customers better and are more reasonably priced.

I know stuff happens. But they could've used their auto email system to cancel. In any event, I never use a contactor (for any project) that doesn't keep their first appt or notifies before just not calling or showing up. That always spells trouble. There are too many landscapers who want business. So I'll never call them or visit their nursery ever again. I believe it was Woody Allen who once said, "Just showing up is 90 percent of life." Todd's fails.

Negative five stars…read more Where to start... My wife and I visited this location back in February/March to purchase spring/summer flowers and get a quote for a large landscaping project, along with some recommendations. We spoke with a staff member about flowers suited for full sunlight. One of the recommended flowers is still thriving in October, but the other didn't survive more than a month despite following the care instructions. for the landscaping quote, that's where the problems began. We were told by the same staff member to speak with someone else, who wrote down an "appointment" on a sticky note and supposedly entered it into the system. The appointment was scheduled for the end of May. My wife and I took the day off work for the quote, but no one showed up--nor did anyone call. A few days later, my wife called to ask what happened. A different staff member said the person responsible would call back that day or the next--but again, zero contact. Fast forward to October, and we've never heard a word from Todd's Nursery. We've since handled our landscaping project ourselves, likely at a lower cost, and honestly, after witnessing their incompetence, we're glad we did. If this is how they handle quotes, we can only imagine how poor the actual service and timing would have been. Bottom line: complete lack of customer service, consideration, and professionalism. Don't waste your time requesting quotes from Todd's Nursery--look elsewhere for companies that value their customers and actually want to do business.

The staff is always friendly, and answers questions and explains anything. They have a cute holiday shop and recently a little food truck, I believe maybe doughnuts and hot chocolate to get. They had 7 different types of trees to pick from. We usually go noble firs this year we got a Nordmann, which is a cross between a Noble and something else, which is great. Also said that it retains its needles better than others, so happy to see how that goes. We paid $85 for a little over 6' tree, great deal. The only reason we come here is the location, but there are way better tree farms out there than this one!! I wouldn't waste your time! We're gonna go to find another tree farm that's not so money hungry, the only the cheapest tree they have is $45 they don't ever have any free, hot cocoa, or hot cider or anything, there's no music, there's no Santa; it's just not the greatest tree farm. Don't like the vibe they're never have thought the people are very fun or knowledgeable .
