Tables are extremely packed together, with multiple chairs around each, all uncomfortable. The tables are smaller than coffee tables, with no reasonable amount of space between the tables and the bar to walk through without bumping into seated patrons. Servers/bartenders no longer give change, can only receive singles from a machine that charges the customers a surcharge percentage. read more

The old CCR was a place for food and drinks, comfy seating, and pretty girls to entertain you. It was great. Under the new Paper Moon ownership (As of Jan 1), it's a place for private dances from pretty girls. The tables are too small for food though they do serve food. The chairs are close to the floor and are very uncomfortable. They're packed so tightly together it's difficult to move around in the club. If they had more than a couple of customers it would be serious fire hazard. The constant badgering for private dances is annoying. I've never seen such dramatic loss of quality happen overnight at any other establishment I've ever been to. read more

So my best friend and I came on a Sunday. Everyone on the staff here from the servers, bouncers, and dancers seemed really nice and welcoming. It gives a real low-key chill vibe! It's a nice place to go have a beer, chill, and see a women dance. Katy was our server and she was really personable. She gave her honest opinions when asked about the food, which was really helpful. The Lamb chops were seasoned really well. They were really tiny. I wish they were a little thicker, but they were only $18, so you pretty much get what you pay for. Would I order them again.... Yes! Okay- overall this place is what you make it...let's acknowledge that. It's next to a 24 hour kabob house, and a 7-11 doesn't look like much from the outside. We were in town visiting from Georgia. The food was terrific, everyone we met was super nice and friendly. The owner even came by and chatted with us, bought us a round of drinks, a free appetizer to try, and the most awesome challenge coins! I laughed when my friends said they were taking me to a strip club for a steak for Mother's Day, but we seriously had the best time. Visited today after at least a decade or so (probably more!) in between. I remembered it being a unique spot, but typically these days if I'm dining in Crystal City it's a business affair. I was starving with 90 minutes before a flight out of DCA. Since I was already parked at the 7-Eleven for a pit stop and absolutely starving, decided to give it a try. So glad that I did! This place is absolute hidden gem. I struggle to think of anywhere else in the greater DMV which compares. The menu is retro yet substantial. Staples, not kitschy trendy cliches. The quality compares favorably with anywhere downtown -- but the prices are incomparable! I got the Tomahawk Veal Chop for about $20 vs similar at the Capital Grill a few weeks ago for $70. Pork Chops for $6.99 or $3.75 for a cheeseburger; New York Strip for $14.99 or lamb chops for about the same. It's unbelievable. Not sure how they do, and I fear it won't last. Until then it will be my new go-to place. And it's a restaurant, not a strip club. You can bring your Mother (maybe) or certainly your significant other. There are plenty of couples and otherwise the usual composition of patrons there. There is also a regular rotation of semi-nude woman 'dancing' one at a time, but is more of an old school go-go vibe than anything like actual strip clubs in the area. If your intent is strippers with XXX level visibility you'll likely be frustrated. But if you're looking for a causal vibe and great menu with unmatched prices, against a backdrop of beautiful women, it's both worth a shot and arguably the only option within 100s of miles. read more

There wasn't any on-site parking which is normal for that location, I just wasn't expecting that. Entering the place, it was of course pretty dark. The space was smaller but the staff accommodated us for seating quickly and were friendly. The food was actually pretty tasty and affordable. There was a one drink minimum but they don't serve actual liquor. My water bottle was $6.60. Still made the best of it. There is a smoking and non smoking section. One dancer at a time and the dancers come to each table after their performance to gain tips. I've never experienced it before but again we made the best of it. The private room fees were pretty expensive for those interested $60(ten mins). read more

A few observations: - The bathroom doors in the women's bathroom do not lock adequately which caused me to walk in on my eight month pregnant waitress by accident. Awkward! - The dancers are pretty and they do not take their jobs too seriously which is fine by me! One was even doing the running man on stage! Sounds like my type of gal. - This is a wine and beer bar only. - If you are a girl the girls will try to give you extra attention! Despite their advertisements for customers being allowed private dances, I was denied private dances by 3 different dancers. No explanation was given by the staff, despite NO prior confrontations or issues occurring. Meanwhile, my buddy who is white, was granted two 15-minute dances with no problem. It had no taste which really disappointed me because the portion size was so big that I felt bad having to leave over half on my plate. The "entertainment" was sad. No rhythm. No shape. Just sad. But the tackiest of all tackies, was after the bland performance, they had the audacity to stop at each table with a cheap purse and strongly hint at wanting a tip. What?! Are you serious? Ok, you have to accept that this is a rating for a restaurant that's really a strip club. I don't go to strip clubs except for the occasional bachelor party (which this was) and I never eat in the club. But the drill seems to be same at Crystal City Restaurant as most such places - you get quite a bit of food at pretty reasonable prices because they plan to make their money on drinks and paying the dancers. The food was fine, comparable to a decent diner. I had the Billy's Steak Bite Salad. It was a big house salad topped with chunks of beef tenderloin. The menu said the salad is a mix of romaine and iceberg but it seemed to be mostly iceberg. I'd say the quality was comparable to buying a bag of salad mix at the grocery store, dumping it on a plate and adding blue cheese dressing poured from a bottle of dressing also bought qt the grocery store. I ordered the meat blackened and cooked medium rare. It was pretty salty but otherwise very tender and nicely cooked. At $10.99, it was a good quantity of totally edible food. The service was fast and friendly. I'll leave the rating of the dancers to some other site! If you want ok food at reasonable prices while watching mostly-naked women dance, then Crystal City Restaurant fits the bill. read more

Crystal City Restaurant definitely defines dinner and entertainment. Being open for 40 years, and 38 of those glorious years has been providing you with the wonderful pleasure of scantily clad women strutting their stuff on stage down to a thong with some pasties. Now that's what I call PG 13. We showed up around 8:30pm with my boyfriend and our lovely Colombian friend Diana who has never been to a strip club let alone something like this. Crystal City Restaurant is best described to be between a Hooter's and a strip club. They do provide pretty nice food with some hot ladies. We came here to have dinner and to watch the show... obviously. My boyfriend and I split a Queen Prime Rib which is a 10 oz prime rib with 2 sides for $10.99. We got broccoli and mashed potatoes with a buttermilk biscuit with butter. Diana ordered herself a Gyro with steak fries for $6.99. You get a lot of food for the cheap without compromising the quality. It was surprisingly good for sure. Service was great. Our server was named Jessica. She was very conversational and told us a bit about Crystal City Restaurant and its origins. Really satisfied to find someone who gave a damn about her customers. Now for the entertainment. The girls did have your stereotypical stripper names such as Bambi, Skittles, Sparkles, and of course the legacy known as K.T. K.T. knew how to move and she impressed everyone with her moves to some hard rock. Some of the girls were really talented, others really just tried to make it through the song before their rounds to solicit the tables of customers. The girls would dance, then go to each and every table asking 'how are you doing?' as they progressed to the glass enclosed room inside the restaurant where the main bar was and a smaller stage. As the go by each table, this is where they hope to pick up a few tips. Some customers would give, some would pass them on up and continue with their meals such as we did. This is a place where you do not expect to MAKE IT RAIN if you know what I mean. Don't forget about the weird single creeper dudes that roll in here. Come with friends so you can avoid them. There was this one particular individual who kept hugging and trying to kiss the dancers during their routine because he was right up by the stage. He looked gross and like the kind you need to keep away from both women and children. Sheesh. The front of the building is misleading and I would hate for any elderly man with a heart condition to pass through those doors without knowing what he is about to get himself into. It looks like a regular restaurant sans see through windows which is probably a good thing. Considering it is right next to Young Chow restaurant and a lot of families go in there; I am glad the windows are concealed so little ones can't peak in and see. Would I return? Hell yeah I would. It was a fun night, and the look of horror on Diana's face when we first arrived made it all the better. Now, I just need to find my next victim to relive the moment of hilarity. read more

Not such a good place, the service was terrible and no social distancing. In-A-Nutshell, the bar tender, who also serves tables, is completely rude. She started in on my friends and I as soon as we got there. The "manager" was an even bigger horses ass. We went there looking to have a good time and had a bad one. They don't practice social distancing there, at all. The tables are set out every other one with Xs on the ones with no chairs. But, as more people come in, they try to sit them at your table. We said something about it to our terrible server who basically said too bad she needed to make money. Then the manager came over and said the same thing. Really? Something's wrong there. He also told us if we didn't like it we could just leave and if we kept complaining about it he would ask us to leave. Another: Really? Here's some of the details: We had planned a B-Day party there which their website indicates they welcome by providing a 5 minute lap dance and a slice of cake. It also says they take reservations for this. When we got there, no one new about it saying "they don't take reservations". We also pointed out that every unoccupied table without an X on it had a reserved sign on it. Seriously?? This bar tender/server got, unnecessarily, way bent out of shape about it too. Not sure why as it seemed pretty simple to us. After the smoke cleared, we did end up getting a table for our party. This bar tender ended up being our server too and was just as rude as could be. To top it off, we had to argue about the slice of cake and was never offered the 5 minute lap dance. The sad thing is that I gave her a $20 tip up front to try and smooth things out but it was like that didn't even happen. The most unusual thing is that this "manager" said we had to respect the club by allowing them to sit strangers at our table. Seriously? The main thing here is that you cannot touch the strippers, so if you are coming from a state that allows it, be ready for the disappointment. Lol. Lap dances are priced ridiculously high. $50.00 for ten minutes?? Crazy. Basically, you sit there, have convo with whomever you are with and they dance on stage. You can choose to walk up to the stage and literally make it rain $$$$ or you can wait until they are done and they will come around table to table and you can tip at that time. I would say this method provides a safe environment for the strippers and patrons alike as it alleviates any issues that might arise from folks that might be too touchy feely.
