I stopped by here as it was on my way somewhere else and my brand new baby Mini Cooper with then-flawless detail needed a bath. As I approached, I asked the head attendant if I should remove my bumper protector prior to the wash and he said "I've seen so many of these go through without a problem. Leave it on it doesn't matter it will be fine." So I shrugged and figured he's the expert. I was so very wrong to put my trust in his judgment and experience because I now have several hundred dollars worth of damages to my car from where their automatic washing machine broke the mount from my bumper protector which caused the hook to create a huge, thick gash in my once-pristine baby. So I called the owner. This is how it went... (my work phone records all calls automatically) Me: hello, I'm calling because your machine damaged my car. I believe the attendant may have called you already but I was hoping you could give me an eta on when you might get here? Him: he did call me. He told you to wait. Are you waiting there like a good boy? Are you? Good. Bye. Whatever I shrugged off the attitude (I mean I am a psych nurse, I've heard worse). He arrives later, says he'll give me my money back for the wash but nothing else. I say okay fine give me my money back, that's a start. Then. He. Walks. Away. He refused to live up to even refunding me a 19$ car wash fee. Refused to do an incident report. PHYSICALLY THREATENED ME without any provocation on my end - again I work in psych and I know how not to escalate situations. I had to call the police; thank you Suffern PD for arriving so quickly. (I had everything recorded on my dash cam thankfully). I had them file a report so there would be some paper trail for my small claims court lawsuit. In short, avoid this scam of a business if you value your property and physical safety. read more

Good Car wash for the money. They also have free vacuums here to use. Its a basic tunnel wash, but I noticed this place is much better than Rainbow Car Wash in Mahwah. The brushes look new here. Its a dollar or two more here but the vacuums are free here so at the end of the day its the same price, and a better wash. read more

One star because I cannot post a review without giving a star - I would never go back to crystal, less than mediocre car washes. I'm not sure if it's under new management but the service has gone to pieces. Better washes for cheaper in the area. read more

I really wanted to like this place. It's close to me, on my way to and from work, and the guys that work here are honestly super nice to me. The price is honestly even fine. Unfortunately, no matter how often, they never seem to follow directions. I never want to use their tire shine. You only EVER use tire shine if you're not moving the car for a long time, to let it dry otherwise it gets ALL OVER your paintwork. Tire shine is very bad for your paint and really has no place in a drive thru car wash where customers must drive off from. Maybe if you apply it with a towel carefully you can drive after, but they just spray it all over because it's automated. Also, they didn't want to let me use my own towels to dry! If the drying employees aren't careful, even the tiniest bit of grit from a towel dropped on the ground (not to mention from the dozens of other cars dried before yours) will swirl and scratch up your paint big time, making your paint worse off than before. It's weird how they get resistant and even offended that you'd ask to use your own towels! It's a shame, because if the employees just LISTEN and address my concerns I'd have no problem with this place. Apparently they can't listen to my requests, so I doubt they'd address yours (the reader of this review). For now, stay away! read more

This is the only Carwash I've used on all my vehicles that fit (commercial vehicles don't of course) always very satisfied with the out come love that they include a rewash if it rains within 24hrs. Staff are very friendly and never mind helping me out if I notice something that may have been over looked even ran my truck through a second time because some of the bird dropping didn't come off all the way. They are always updating the Carwash with new and improved equipment. Their vehicle detailing is absolutely remarkable! Never a complaint after, vehicle looks showroom ready. Prices are reasonable with lots of add ones available. For a local Carwash right down the street I would Highly recommend this place read more

I just left this wash. Went here a couple times with various cars and we have a monthly pass on one high end vehicle. I always get the same wash. Today I got the joeys best and was ready to get out wHen the drying tells me I got an exterior wash only. I told him what I got and he said yea it's $12 more for interior. This is my second time coming here. First time they did beyond amazing, my car smelled great, shined and was excellently vacuumed. Today not so much. Upon arriving the guy who greeted me ran through the special ( 29.00) as if it was the only option. Great presentation considering he's at the car wash. I asked for my other options to which he replied the next option is 20.00 forr the exterior plus 9.00 to vacuum the inside ??? Right... so as to not hold him up any longer I got the "special" My car ran through the cleaning tunnel and the guys went to work. They seemed to do a good job but as soon as I pulled off I realized I had over paid for a mediocre wash. the air freshener quickly wore off, and when I parked the water stains were plenty. If of all that paper work that he gave ( coupons, loyalty card, thank you card, etc) gives me the option of going back for free for them to clean up what they missed I will but if it doesn't I will not go back. Worst and most expensive car wash I've ever had. I used to come here all the time and was very pleased with both the price and quality of service. Now it's the worst! Plus the people are rude, nasty and they try to sell you the most expensive wash every time. When you ask for the basic wash the guy seems disappointed and becomes rude. I was just here on Saturday where I purchased the $29 professional combo package. I was told for this I would get everything done inside and out including mats. Then when the guy didn't clean my mats I told him I bought the combo and he tells me the mats are extra! After a brief argument he agreed to clean my front mats only! $29 for an exterior wash, interior vacuum, wipe down and glass and mats aren't included! Yeah you guys just lost another customer. Please go out of business soon so a real business person can take over a bring back the good ole crystal. read more

I don't understand the poor reviews. We used this car wash last week and it was excellent. Our car still looks clean a week later; I've never had that experience with any other car wash. This is the BEST Car wash around !Best staff and you really get what you pay for ! My Car stays clean for days after ! I have had a detail and a special coating done on my car to protect the paint and worth EVERY penny ! Don't think going to a large "highway " wash will get you better was or service it's a TOTAL LIE , shame on you visited a few near Suffern ( I will not mention whom on 17 ) but found that full service wash you pay for you really are not getting ... This is without doubt the BEST car wash you will EVER get. That said, they are overly aggressive and push their more expensive wash CONSTANTLY, cause the sales guy is a partner in the business. It is very annoying. The people are a pain in the _$$ but the machine gives the best wash imaginable! (Get the $8 wash and get a $2 coupon good over the next week, which comes in hand for winter when weekly washings is a must.) -Also, to address another reviewer, when you start driving, water pours out of hidden crevices. This use to be the best car wash in the area. They use to post the car wash options and what was included and the prices, The web site gives no information about the different levels of car wash services nor the prices. The Rain-X treatment use to keep the car from water spotting after a rain shower. You cannot get an intelligible answer about what levels of car wash are available nor the prices when you pull up to the entrance. The last two times I used them the car came out water stained and spotted and after the first rain storm there were water spots all over. I have not been back since. I am surprised that they are still in business. By the way deduct two stars from the rating. read more
