UPDATE.....after putting air in tire...the car is driving...after putting JUST AIR in the tire...after 2 days...THE TIRE STILL HAS AIR....so tell me how from 2:30 am to 8:30 am it went. FLAT... Common sense says TOM LET THE AIR OUF THE TIRE... And how are you gonna tell me that the car needs $2200 and damage when it was never taken off of the flatbed to be looked at. Last night I was overseeing the Courtyard in Norwich CT and a hearing impaired guest locked his keys in his freightliner. I called the police but they could not help but they did refer me to Crystal Auto. The owner wasnt sure he could open it but said he would be out. It was about 10pm. I just want to say he was an ANGEL and very diligent. It took him a while to get in but like me he felt bad for our mutual guest. He could have just left at some point but about 45 min and he was in! BEWARE, this guy is a scam artist and a thief! He lied and said he did work that another mechanic later proved he never did, he charged 40% more than what he quoted, he took days and days to return my calls, he treated my wife like she must not even know what an engine was (I assume because she's female because he didn't talk to me that way) And took THREE TIMES as long as he estimated to do the work (that he mostly did not do and lied about doing) I think the only reason why he gets away with this is because his dad use to be chief of police and has connections. Car towed here after an auto accident where my breaks failed. Accused me of lying right in front of the cop. Charged 208 dollars to tow the car less than a mile to his shop...told me he was going to charge me for his "investigation" that was just going to reveal that I was lying. You need to understand the whole situation I have roadside emergency services with my insurance thru USAA I called them because the car I was in was locked with the keys inside I call my insurance at 10:23 PM I was told that the garage / Truck would be there in 15 to (I will get there name in the morning )20 minutes and the fee was $ 79.00 at 10:36 PM the insurance company USAA called me back and said the fee would be $65.00 because that's what the garage / Truck charges ok great well they should be calling you any minute for my 10 minute window because we were freezing to death it was 30 degrees outside and keep going into Altones to get warm and go back out and wait and wait and wait I called USAA back at 11:20 PM to be told the truck will be there in 2 minutes ok GREAT ..We wait and wait and wait and wait some more I call back my insurance compnay at 11:40 PM and I am told that the olther garage callncelled my lock - out job and they were trying to get someone out to us it is now 12:15 AM but it is gonna be another 20 minutes I start to cry I am freezing my kids are frozen I was done and USAA called Tom from Crystal Auto who called me 2 minutes later and talked to me made me feel better he was on his way and he was there he was there in less than 20 min. I was in a car with heat again Thank you so much Tom for coming to my rescue tonight after the other company could not care less that 2 children and disabled mother freezing on the side of the road read more

Purchased a used car from here had it about 5 yrs .Great car no mechanical problems,low mileage.Didn't have to put money into it.Unfortunately I was hit by another another vehicle and it was totaled.So had to get another which I also bought here.Another great car:)!! My dad had gotten into a minor accident recently and the Norwich Police called this Tow truck company. The guy pretended to be a nice guy by telling me that I'll get ripped off from the insurance company and Toyota dealers because the Toyota Dealers and Insurance company would replace my dad's car with after market parts which would hurt the resale value. Tom, the owner, also owns a body shop and was adamant that we fix our car from him. He gave me the spiel that he has been in the business for 32 years and that his dad use to be a cop. Long story short, we didn't use him and thank god we didn't because I naively fell for his words. After doing some research online, I found out that the owner and his company is not credible. I read the facebook reviews, I read the google reviews, I read the yelp reviews, and I especially read the reviews from better business bureau. Thank god my dad and I didn't get our car fixed from him. read more
