Dan told me that there was the possibility that the storm might have killed them due to the freeze. However, he checked all around the house to see if he could find any wasps. He also treated the area where the wasps had been nesting. Dan did not charge for his visit, and told me to call him if the wasps appeared after the weather was sunny and warm again. Thus far, I have not seen any wasps. If they appear in the future, I will certainly call Dan again. Not often do you find a person with this kind of integrity. Once I got a hold of him, we scheduled a date and time. And then I never heard from him again until I received an invoice via email. I would have expected him to let me know he was at the house or at least finished spraying at the house- let me know what he saw and what he did and that it was gone. My tenants just said the nest was gone so I did not follow up. I hire a lot of contractors for my properties and I'm used to some kind of communication or follow up so this was just odd to me. My mother called Critter Control (Boulder) for service. She is 86 years old and confined to a…read morewalker. She has been hallucinating and sees "critters" in her bedroom. It is obvious to anyone with half a brain that there is nothing there. The critter she described to Critter Control was a rodent with blue eyes.... (based on a google search, NO rodents have blue eyes). There are no droppings and no evidence of any rodents in the house, specifically in the bedroom where my mother "sees" them. I put sticky traps out myself and even left a slice of bread under her dresser for weeks without it being touched. Critter control (Spencer Gildersleeve and Dana Carwin) still found it acceptable to do an initial service for $329 and two follow up visits for $95 each ($519 total). I am appalled that Critter Control would take advantage of an old woman by taking her hard-earned money. None of their indoor traps have caught a single thing and no evidence of any "critter" has been found. I've spoken with 3 people at Critter control including Dana Carwin who arranged the contract with my mother. Dana said a manager would call with possible restitution, but I have not received any further communication. Critter Control did respond to my review on Yelp with "Will look into it" (two years ago)...... So either Critter Control technicians are clueless or they are willing to rip people off, either way I would never use their service..... this is a repost since I saw Critter Control with a 5 star rating in the Boulder County "Five Star Rated" guidebook.... with this in mind, I wouldn't trust any other recommendations in that book. Received a response from Adrienne (below), thanks for a response, although two years late. However, your response has one major hole in it. You said your Technician communicated to both ME and my mother that no evidence of pests were found..... I live 12 miles away and was no where near my parents residence during any of the Critter Control visits. Had I been there I would have declined the "service".
