Great Brewery! Stopped in on a Thursday night in the middle of trivia and sat at the back bar. They have a bar area and a bistro area where you can order food. Pictured is the butcherbox pizza and it was delicious! Bartenders were nice and welcoming. Definitely will be back and hopefully I can do a tour. Cheers! read more

Really good brews Food was good but all 3 of our dishes came out at different times. We went for brunch. The menu says they have shrimp and grits but they did not. Good pulled pork tacos and the biscuit s and gravy were good. The chicken and waffles were delicious but took a long time . Nice staff! read more

Louisiana beer has been abita for the 3 years I have lived here, which is pretty sad. Now you have Crying Eagle which does an amazing job, seriously an incredible job and is located in southern central Louisiana. I look forward to coming here when I travel to LC. They don't have a huge 20 draft beer menu but the 10 or so beers that are on draft are almost always worth a try even if you know what you're probably getting. I love their Blonde. It's so easy to drink and really is a great blonde. I have been twice now and haven't had a food truck but I haven't really been during food hours so I think that's more on me. If you're hungry just call ahead and like others have said, you can order and eat it here. read more

Always great food and atmosphere. This place is a must stop every time I go through Lake Charles and they never disappoint. Had a couple flights of beer and still couldn't drink all they had. Started with the deviled eggs with bacon jam. Wow. Followed that up with the pork and shrimp tacos. Couldn't decide which one was better. Great pizzas! Sometimes they can cook a little soft but still worth ordering and just using utensils to eat. The Where's The Fig is one my favorites. Appetizer sausage wasn't my fave as it was pretty basic flavor. Great place for brunch though! read more

I stopped by on my way to the airport. I really enjoyed this place. I order my food and the service was great - everyone was helpful and friendly. I got boudin and oysters-both if which were delicious. I ordered a flight so I was able to try a few different beers. There's plenty of seating and tables inside the taproom as well as outside. There's also a large leather sofa that I was able to relax in. I definitely appreciated that. If I'm ever in Lake Charles again I will be going back for sure! It's less than 10 minutes away from the airport, so it's a great place to stop on your way in or out. read more

A lot of people rave about the oysters so I went just to order them because I love oysters. However, I didn't care for theirs at all. Every single one had grit that I had to spit out. My husband ordered the bbq pulled pork pizza but they messed it up and put chicken instead which was no big deal. The bbq chicken pizza was not bad. My husband also said their draft beer was good. I can't recall which one he got. I would go back here for the cool atmosphere and events they host but I won't be tempted by their food. read more

I've lived around the country and ended up here in Lake Charles when my wife got a position at McNeese. I've had all kinds of true microbrews from living in such progressive college cities such as Lexington, KY and in the research triangle in North Carolina. I drink just about anything beer-wise except Bud, Miller, etc. Moving here left us without a good local beer option. But the beer here is fantastic and worth every penny. Being from a more northern area, I drank a lot more porter than people seem to drink down here in the South and I can say that the porter here is 5-star! This is what we've been missing in Lake Charles. The building is great and the surroundings are perfect. If you want to sit outside, you'll be fully surrounded by fully grown trees. I would've given it 5 stars except for two words: beer tokens. You can't just come and relax and open a tab. They have the awkward token system. Early afternoon clientele seems to be half the +50 crowd and half the 'graduated within the last ten years crowd.' Insecure lifted truck owners are at a minimum. read more
