We made a last minute reservation for lunch while traveling on I10. It seems like reservations function more like call ahead, though, as we waited 15 minutes past the reservation time to be seated. Waiting became the theme of our experience. Our server was professional and friendly. He took and delivered our drink orders quickly, and he was knowledgeable about the menu. He went out of his way to get a taste of the gumbo to be sure my son would like it - and he did. We placed our orders and waited. And waited more. Our server kept our drinks full, but it took about 40 minutes for our food to come out. Everything was excellent, but it was an awfully long time to wait to eat. The building itself is fabulous - soaring ceilings and panoramic lake views. The furniture and decor is new, modern, and clean. Again, the food was great, and hopefully they can speed up the timing. It is a bit pricey, but fair for the quality and quantity.

Our meal was excellent, way better than we ever expected. The seafood gnocchi had a great sauce paired with it. Great views on the patio as well.

I would recommend for drinks only. The food looks great but there is NO taste. Disappointed and drive from Texas for it.

Nice, relaxing ambiance. Sat inside, the AC was blasting. Nice servers. Gumbo is a small portion, but very flavorful. Crawfish bisque is also a small portion and the bisque itself was really good, but the crawfish was mushy (almost as if it was frozen and then reheated, iykyk). Ahi & crab nachos were very good! Again, small portion. Service was very slow and it was not very crowded at all on 2 PM on a Sunday. Enjoyed the food overall!

Five star food, 2 star service. We sat out on the patio and the view was incredible. We loved all of the food. The crawfish cornbread was incredible. The French onion soup was to die for...perhaps better than Cafe Maspero in New Orleans. The beef short ribs were tender and tasty, but they were out of the brown butter mashed potatoes. I was surprised they ran out so early considering our reservation was for 6:45. My wife said the crab cake was delicious, but it was only like warm. However the corn maux choux was great. The side of Mac and cheese was also fantastic. The brussel sprouts took home first prize on the sides! Best..ever!!! The downfall was the wait. Three tables were signing their checks and we still didn't receive our entrees. Our entrees arrived an hour after the appetizers. Apparently the order got lost. For a 6:45 reservation, we got the check after 9:00. Our waiter was friendly, but not attentive. He spent much of his time talking to other customers that he was friends with, but neglected us most of the time. We did get a free dessert for our inconvenience; it was offered without us complaining. We got the bananas foster bread pudding. It started off really good, but was very bland in the middle. One bite just tasted like plain bread. I'm going to give them another try; the food was too good to not give some mercy. They are new and some kinks will have to be worked out. There's so much potential! With a few tweaks, this would easily be a 5-star review.

Food was worth the wait. Lovely restaurant with lakefront views. Service was friendly and attentive. We had the deviled eggs and fried oysters BLT.

The restaurant was decorated as you would expect a good Cajun restaurant to be decorated in. Service was nice and friendly and you order at the register and they bring your food to you. Service was great even after we got our food. A server asked us if we needed refills and if we wanted them in to-go cups, which scored bonus points with me! Here's what I had on this lunch visit: The crawfish pistollette (8/10) which was a small appetizer that was bread with some crawfish etouffee on top. Bread was nicely cooked and the etouffee on top was delicious. Solid starter! The Cajun Cooking Sampler (9/10) - this was a sampler with 3 amazing dishes. I got the shrimp and crab gumbo, which is classic Louisiana gumbo and it was outstanding! The sampler also had a bowl of crawfish etouffee which was good but felt it needed a bit more etoufee to mix with the rice. Lastly, the special of the day was fish courtbouillon which was a fish in tomato based sauce over rice. I really enjoyed this as the fish has a great texture and there was a lot of flavor in the sauce. Overall, solid lunch meal in the $ to $$ range depending on what you order. Recommend you trying it for a great Cajun experience!

There were three of us, and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed until closing! We started with the Crab Beignets and the Bone Marrow Tartare. I had never tried bone marrow tartare before, but it was absolutely incredible. The combination of prime tenderloin tartare, bone marrow, garlic aioli, and chimichurri purée was unique and packed with flavor. For our entrees, we had the Lobster Pasta, Mushroom Pasta with Chicken, and the Power Bowl with Shrimp. Every dish was outstanding. The Power Bowl was especially flavorful, and I absolutely loved the sauce. The lobster pasta was rich and delicious, and the mushroom pasta was perfectly prepared. To finish, we shared the Brownie in a Cup, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Everything we ordered was amazing. Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Calla is definitely a place we'll be returning to. Highly recommended!

Christiano was a fantastic server and took great care of us. The menu is innovative and the flavors are on point. The steak frites and fried oysters are great, the sea bass and beef shank specials were literally to die for. And I would be remiss, if I didn't give a major shout out to the greatness that resides in both the beef and chopped salads. They're incredible. The cocktails are crafty and well made to boot. The brownie in a cup dessert was my personal favorite, but the nutty cheesecake is surprisingly light and delicious also. All in all, Calla's got it all going on and you can't miss it. Cheers!

After viewing the lunch buffet we decided to give it a try to save time. It seemed today most of the customers were locals comprised of contractors and maybe plant workers, there was no doubt this place is a local favorite. After placing our drink orders we proceeded to the steam table and grabbed our plates, most of the food seemed fresh and definitely hot, the kitchen was in the process of refilling items as we served ourselves. Honestly there was nothing bad here but after trying a few bites I was reaching for the hot sauce to jazz things up a bit. I thought the prices were a little steep considering the portions we chose, if you're one that will make multiple trips to the food bar it's probably a good deal. We felt the food quality and preparation was just okay, it's likely we would not return or travel out of our way to dine here again. The staff was very friendly and accommodating it's just not the type of place we frequent...
