Fantastic place to spend an afternoon or evening with friends! I had never been but was invited to meet a friend last weekend. It wasn't what I expected, it was better! Lots of varied seating both inside and out. The menu is extensive enough without being overwhelming. The wine and cocktail menu is also impressive with a great many options even if you're not an aficionado. We had the calamari and the risotto cakes to start which were delightful! The calamari is among the best I have had. Later we ordered a pizza, after seeing them delivered nearby we couldn't resist! We decided to try the "Rocca" and it was delicious! While visiting from out of town on a work trip, my local friend introduced me to Bodega Wine Dive. Great bar service with very attentive bartender on a Thursday night. My friend and I split a bottle of Outlier, one of the lighter Pinot Noir's available. The wine was so smooth and delicious! My first impression was what a beautiful atmosphere. Walking in from daylight to a very dimly lit bar was a small adjustment, but as soon as I could see, I saw what a beautiful interior it was. Seems like the perfect place to catch up with friend(s) over wine and some bites. My friend ordered the wine lovers pizza and I ordered the chicken parm but subbed for the eggplant parm. The eggplant parm was thin, crispy & delicious and served with a genera portion of angel hair pasta. Second chance and they nailed it!!!! Amazing service, from Joann to Corey with the "C" they are Extraordinary, best personalities and professionals. If you want a place with good food and customer service this is the place to go and Lake Charles. By far this is now going to be my number one spot for wine and food! The place is so clean and the ambiance is so relaxing. Everyone is very friendly. The food is so fresh. The mozzarella reminded me of Italy melting in your mouth. And the sweet balsamic drizzle was to die for. I will definitely be coming back. I am so pleased and so blown away with their customer service. Some of the best customer service I've ever come across in my life. And I have traveled many places. So do not pass this place up. Way overrated. Service is terrible, unless you're sitting at the bar. The whole inside of the restaurant is dimmly lit and has no comfortable seating. There is a covered patio area with awkward tables and more uncomfortable seating. The popcorn has been soggy/ old tasting every time l've had it. When looking for pizza yo would immediately go to a place called Bodega Wine Dive right? Well you should because the not so typical brick oven pizza's are fantastic. Our time at the bar was made special by our bartender who was personable and helpful suggesting again non-typical drink selections which were home runs for all those who ventured to try them. When we sat down we shared a charcuterie board and several of the pizzas. The blackberry pizza, again not typical, was my favorite from the selection our group sampled. read more

First time we dined there my husband ordered the bodega pizza and was extremely happy with it. He is Italian and from Pittsburgh so he knows good pizza. The crust and the sauce were amazing. And of course the meats come from their own butcher shoppe so how could you go wrong with that. It was a very fun place. There were all sorts of people some people dressed fancy, people in business attire, parents with their children. A great mix of everything. They also have wine lockers you purchase it and bring your bottles of wine and leave them there so when you come in you can drink them. Neither of us drink wine but we had a great time there enjoying our beers that were very cold. Give this place a shot and you won't regret it. Ambience is good for date night also saw a lot of large parties for birthdays happening. Would recommend reservations or you'll be sitting outside. I do think they need to make the outside tables more comfortable and inviting. It looks like a bit of an afterthought. A very nice place and has a lot of different wines and cheeses. The owner was nice and took care of us when things got busy. The pizza was amazing. I got the bodega and my wife got the wine lovers. I kinda favored hers more. and we also got a cheese dish. A nice place for an evening out. Pros: good pizza and great wine selection. Knowledgeable staff. Cons: a bit pricy but that is to be expected. Alo it was crowded so get there early. But that was to be expected also. Get there early if you wanna sit inside. we got there on a Friday night it was packed so we had to sit outside. Not a big deal but would have preferred to sit inside. First time at Bodega was great! I CANNOT stop thinking about the experience. My husband and I heard about this place before, but we never seemed to make it across town to check it out. Needless to say, we should've came a long time ago! It had a great atmosphere with tasteful interior design. There's regular restaurant seating as well as couch/lounge areas. They even had a violinist playing the night we went! Our server, Korey, was awesome. He was super attentive and gave us a bunch of recommendations! Not to mention, their on-site wine specialist, Ryan, was amazing! He had great knowledge of the menu, and helped us pick the perfect wine for us from their large menu. The food was TO DIE FOR. We started with the truffle popcorn and a cheese board, both were excellent. We split the Wine Lover's pizza, which was possibly one of the best pizzas I have EVER eaten! Couldn't decide where to eat and we've be taking about trying Bodega, so glad we did. The wine selection is great and our waiter Seth was fantastic. He asked our tastes and what we were planning to eat, then suggested wines that paired perfectly. Can't say enough good things about his knowledge of wines and friendly manner. Now to the food. We had a cheese board and the Winelovers pizza. I love that they take the time to think about the items that accompany the cheeses and individualize them to complement the flavor. Other cheeseboards I have had use the same accompaniments without thought to the flavors of the cheeses. The house made pizza crust is terrific, thin and crisp. My girlfriend termed the balanced flavors of the toppings brilliant. We will be back, there are many wines and cheeses left to try out. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I knew that going to this place with a one year old was out of the question but the menu looked so amazing I absolutely had to order it to go. I ordered the Bodega pizza and my husband ordered the Prime Time pizza. We ordered the Goat grilled cheese for our 1 yr old. The Bodega pizza was, just no words to say how delicious it was. The truffle oil and basil take it over the top. The Prime Time I obviously sampled, oh my gosh!!!! It was so good!! The popcorn served with the grilled cheese was soggy from the card ride home inside a container but it was still so delicious. And the grilled cheese, if I wasn't obsessed with pizza I would go and order that grilled cheese every day!! So so good! I can't wait to try more pizza and I hope I'm able to go back one day without our little one. Even though it didn't seem kid friendly, the staff could not have been more attentive to us when we walked in just to grab our to go order. My wife and I had time to kill and were looking for a place to eat. We found this on Yelp and decided to try it out. We kind of heard about it so we went. I can tell you this place does not disappoint. The atmosphere was great as well as the service. The pizza was spot on and cooked to perfection. I love s fire brick oven pizza and I highly recommend the Bodega. The wine list is a wide variety that ranges from $7 a glass on up. There is a great selection to choose from. First time at Bodega. Heard lots of great things about it and it was all true. Great atmosphere. Me and a girlfriend of mine went have a few drinks and try out their pizza. We sat at the bar where we were greeted by Claire the bartender. We had no clue what wines we wanted to try out so she helped us out by letting us try a few sips of different wines. We both found one we really liked and soon after we ordered a pizza. Dough was soft. Sauce was tasty. Toppings were fresh. The food and drinks at Bodega were very good, however, the service was terrible. Initially when we arrived the bartender was very attentive and knowledgeable about the types of drinks we were interested in, however as soon as the bar became slightly more crowded, we were ignored. I sat without a drink for 45 minutes at the bar and none of the bartenders even looked at me. When our pizza arrived, I tried to signal the bartenders attention for a drink, but he delivered the pizza and moved on.
