They waited for us even though I was having trouble booking online. We paid after the tour. We saw lot of alligators. The cypress trees with the moss were just gorgeous. It was a beautiful boat ride on Lake Martin. I would recommend this tour to anyone! You won't regret it. The boat ramp was very easy to find. I didn't have cell service once we got there and there are not bathrooms. But there is a dollar general down the street.

This was not your typical narrated scripted tour (yawn)…read more To say it was nothing short of amazing is an understatement. Our guide took us on a full blown adventure! Creeping through tranquil inlets & speeding down a maze of channels. We explored crawfish nets (I snatched one out of the trap for further inspection), we took a plethora of breath taking photos (now posted on Facebook), braced ourselves as we raced through dense thick floating vegetation yet sailed right through like it wasn't there (our guide "Albert" reveled in the expected surprised looks on our faces). He sped us in circles to agitate the carp just below the surface causing them to leap out of the water for our entertainment. We got a brief glimpse of a gator just before he ducked down into the water. In addition to this memorable experience the guide was extremely knowledgeable regarding to the entire ecosystem. He had lowered the seats so the canoes were more steady. Cory is a wealth of information. He told us about the history; flora and fauna; geography. He even told us where to listen to some good music and a scenic route back to New Orleans. He also told us where to go in order to see the bird rookery. Very cool.
