So much fun! Tour was a great experience, tour guide was friendly & had a great personality. The little shop has cute souvenirs & a few snacks. If you step out to the back porch of the shop, there's a bench area for a photo op.

Such an awesome experience!!! The swamp tour was loads of fun, educational, interesting, and so so cool! It was an hour and a half and about a 6.5 mile loop around the Atchafalaya Swamp. The guide was awesome and made such funny jokes. He seemed like he truly cared about the swamp and the alligators living in it. It was so cool to see him feed the gators and very cool to see them come to him when he called for them. I highly recommend this tour for everyone.

Traveled to southern Louisiana the first week of November and stayed in Broussard.  Our adventures began with an airboat ride through the swamp. We were referred to McGee's Swamp Tours and I can say that it was not only a grand ride but our tour guide, Armond, was extremely informative on many subjects with a broad knowledge of the swamp, the local area, and would stop several times, during the hour and half boat ride, to explain the history and to point out the critters that inhabit the swamp.  He was a character who not only drove the airboat but we also found him to be very entertaining...and as my wife described him, "younger looking from a distance".  We also had a personal meeting with his pet alligator, who indulged us as we stopped for a visit, by surfacing and swimming up to and along the edge of the boat. We were advised to keep our seats, that no petting was allowed, nor should we encourage any bad behavior such dangling any fingers or toes over the side.  It was an exciting experience made even more exciting as our boat transversed the surface of the water at a speed that made you glad you remembered to wear your sunglasses for eye protection.  No bugs...let me repeat that...No bugs!! It was a fantastic experience and one I would encourage everyone to find the time to do...at least once. The airboat ride is very reasonably priced, as mentioned the tour guide is a colorful character but very professional and conscious of passenger safety.  You find everyone involved to very friendly and helpful. I endorse McGee's Swamp Tours.  You get a pulse pounding but extremely safe airboat  ride...and you learn something too.  Thanks McGee's.

Swamp boat with Skip the Skipper

We took a swamp boat tour with Captain Skip, who is fantastic and his knowledge of Louisiana history and ecosystem. Highly recommend! There was a mixup in booking and we arrived thinking we were going on an airboat. So thankful for the mistake because we absolutely loved the swamp boat tour with Skip.

Came here on the 23rd with my dad I have been on a swamp tour before this one was great ,sad the alligators were brumating but we saw some babies and the tour was very informative and the airboat ride was great!

GREAT TIME! Skip was our tour guide, passionate, (got along great with my dad) and really explained the history of the swamp. Got to see plenty of gators. Hank was my favorite gator. Alligators are my favorite so I had a really good time.

McGee's is very well known down in the south for providing the friendliest and most informative stamp tours. Very large boats that can accommodate any size group. I am excited to finally be able to review because last night we took a very special tour. Atchafalaya Amour Tour. This tour is offered during the month of February, with many available dates. Includes dinner, drinks, a sunset tour and live music. My husband and I had brisket, but there was also a fettuccini available. Came with a side of corn grits, and a dinner roll. Dessert was bread pudding. All of the food was delicious and you had your choice of red or white wine. Very nice wines! Food was really tasty, not just your typical plate lunch type of stuff. There was a young woman perched in the corner with a guitar, and at first, we thought it would be such a great casual touch. We were completely blown away by this young woman's voice! It sounded like she was on stage with a microphone, professionally. She was simply brilliant and played a very diverse genre of songs. Her voice was never overpowering and was the perfect backdrop to this romantic evening. The boat captain walked around and made sure everyone was comfortable and struck up conversations with us. The surrounding area was beautifully lit by the lights of the boat during the entire experience. Some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever see is in the swamp! I see that I've already said enough, but could probably never say enough about this wonderful experience! Friendly staff, ease of access, all around first class experience!

Wow! Awesome time with the family. I saw a couple of gators, beautiful birds, and the wonderful swamps of LA. The tour guide was extremely accommodating and very knowledgeable of the area. Surprisingly, the tour was peaceful and felt like a relaxing time to disconnect. I would recommend to go during April -September to see bigger gators

So fun fact; my family is from Louisiana, and this trip was all a part of meeting them and seeing my heritage. Alright, so right off the bat - I'll let you know that Louisiana is very, very humid so just keep that in mind. So to the swamp tour... We had an incredibly friendly guide that showed us around the bayou. We did get to see an alligator, but we didn't get to feed one on the tour :( But, you are able to bring drinks out there and we got to go out on an airboat. You do have to call in advance to reserve a spot for the tour, but it's totally worth it to be on an airboat in the LA humidity. Overall, the bayou is gorgeous. Oh do have the off chance of seeing an alligator but even if you do (or don't) you will see a bunch of other wildlife as well. Snakes, eels, turtles, owls you name it!

Booked the entire day for 300 people and they called 4 days before and cancelled on us. Do not trust them.
