My car started smoking on the outside and inside and had a bad smell to it. This is all because of a half ass oil change. This caused an oil leak and now IM ALREADY ALMOST OUT OF OIL. He said I would have to pay a $100 fee if they didn't find anything wrong, which I basically was like, wait, I got a letter. And he said something in a sarcastic tone, "That letter is not going to pay my technicians if they don't find anything." Which I actually totally get. However, he could have explained that in a much more polite way and been a bit more understanding about my situation. I swallowed my pride and went ahead and scheduled my appointment. When I brought it in, I was standing there waiting and an agent finished up with a client. The agent sat there for 30 seconds or more without calling me up. Then the phone rings and he answers it rather than waiting on me, which then took several more minutes. He was wearing an airpod in one ear while working with me and using lingo without explaining it. All this time, I can hear a woman at the service desk speaking to a client in a sharp way. For example, instead of saying, "May I please have your key?" she says, "Key?" I mean come on people, if you hate your job, find something else. If you can't say something in a friendly way, then either don't say it or pause until you can use a nicer tone. I do not intend to return to this dealer at all, neither for service nor for future car purchases.

The mechanic called my house and said the car was junk and it would cost around a thousand dollars to fix. How he determined the cost for repair i don't know because he did not even know what the problem was. I went to the shop and tried to tell the mechanic the part that was bad but he would not listen. They wanted to charge $80.00 but backed off when i asked for what. They then backed off, gave me the keys and told me to leave. I took the car to another local shop near by and told them the problem and the part involved. They said that it was a common problem with this model car. They took it right in and replaced the part with an upgraded one. I also had them do a oil and filter change. Total bill was just a few dollars over $300.00. the car has been running great with no leaks. This was not the first time I had issues with this shop, but it will be the last.

I got 5 quarts of VALVOLINE Full Synthetic engine oil and a new oil filter. They also replaced the drain plug gasket, checked fluid levels, lubricated suspension where possible, checked the air pressure in my tires and performed a multipoint inspection. Labor was ~$28, parts was ~$52. I had a $15 coupon so my total was ~$71 after tax. They also replaced my air filter and windshield wipers with the components that I provided GRATIS. Unisex restroom was clean and tidy. Customer waiting area has free water, coffee and soda pop. I SHALL RETURN next time I need my engine oil changed.

I needed a new shifter cable for my vehicle and had it towed there after hours. They have a drop box for your keys which is a nice touch. No more having to get up and be there at the crack of dawn to explain the issue. Just wrote what I thought was the issue on the envelope and put my keys in the envelope and dropped them in. That's the way I like it. The next morning they called after they found the issue and gave me they're price. I was happy to hear they're price because the 2 other shops I checked with wanted to charge more $$$ for the shifter cable fix. I've got my usual mechanic and I kinda felt like I had cheated on him but it was just this once and he was backed up a week with other work anyways. The Livonia garage is clean inside and even in the bay areas where they work. Everyone was friendly and the coffee was really good. Lots of parking as well. Try The Livonia Garage. I looked online for a mechanic near me and found Kirk's Auto. I explained my situation to the gentleman at the front desk. I assumed that this was Kirk. He said he could take a look at it in about five minutes. I appreciated this because time is money when I'm driving for Uber. Kirk solved the problem by getting some zip ties and securing the loose metal that was hanging from the bottom of my car. This took him about five minutes to complete, and he didn't even charge me. Kirk turned an awful experience into a good one. I will definitely be coming here for my car needs in the future.
