Fast forward to the past two months where Jarin made our vision a reality and I am BLOWN AWAY with how he has transformed our outdoor space. Unlike many contractors, Jarin takes time to listen. Not only that, he takes time to make recommendations based on future projects he's not yet contracted for. He first installed our 16x16 foot cedar plank pressure treated deck, paying close attention to how this deck would be part of a larger project. He made recommendations such as installing shorter steps on one side to make a natural walkway from opposite sides, to designing the stairs that lead to our firepit area in such a way that it's GORGEOUS. He heard my dream of having a sunket firepit and brought it to life! He made recommendations on size according to budget and even hunted down the exact type and color gravel we envisioned. He was always courteous and patient with response times and I knew every step of the way we were in great hands. Y'all...a sunken firepit is the ultimate Pinterest dream come to life. And then...I dropped another request. To help us install a 10.5ft x 6 foot outdoor movie screen because if you're going to be extra, just go for it! Back in Oct, William was abled to hand-pull all the weeds in my backyard and mow my lawn in preparation for the winter. He had made sure there's no grass clippings leftover as I was allergic to Bermuda grass so his service was helpful for my health. Initially, did an amazing job and was going to be my go-to lawn guy once the grass is growing again the Spring. Recently for the Spring, I asked him for the same service, weed removal (expecting hand-pulled like last time), lawn mowing, and pre-emergent weed treatments. Total cost was $170 but I gave him $200 especially for gas prices and he had to go pick up supplies. Well, he weed whacked everything instead and it splatter all over the white painted sidings of the new house. He offered to pressure wash and clean the sidings from the mess he created. He also offered to put down additional weed treatment to help control the weeds. He was late for the original Spring service (after I asked him to push the service an hour later). He was a no-show on Saturday to cleaning up weed clippings splattered over the sidings. I had to call him multiple times and he said his customer unexpectedly requested mulch installation and said he can come by at 8am on Sunday. Today, He was a no-show today. I had to call him and he woke up at 10am. He was still a no show after multiple calls. Very disappointed. I wasted almost half my day waiting. Lots of excuses. I understand life happens but lack of communication and method of weed removal was the final straw. Off to continue to find my go-to lawn service person. Initial service in Oct 2025 was 5/5. Follow-up Mar 2026 service 2/5. Do not recommend.
